A year after one of the most surprising Cinderella runs in NCAA Tournament history, No. 20 Florida Atlantic (18-5, 8-2 AAC) is building its March Madness resume again. The Owls have piled up some impressive wins this season, beating teams such as Arizona, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech, and they have won seven of their last eight overall. Wichita State (10-13, 2-8 AAC), meanwhile, has struggled this season, but the Shockers are coming off a dominant 20-point win against UTSA earlier this week.

Charles Koch Arena in Wichita hosts this noon ET tip. SportsLine consensus lists the Owls as 7.5-point road favorites in the latest FAU vs. Wichita State odds, while the over/under for total points is 150. You can watch Sunday's game on CBS and stream the game on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME.

College basketball picks for Wichita State vs. Florida Atlantic

Before tuning into the Wichita State vs. FAU game, you need to see the college basketball picks from SportsLine's advanced computer model. The model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. It entered Week 13 of the 2023-24 season on a 124-82 roll on all top-rated college basketball picks dating back to last season, returning more than $2,000 for $100 players. It is also off to a 20-9 start on top-rated spread picks this season. Anyone following has seen huge returns.

For FAU vs. Wichita State, the model projects that the Shockers stay within the 7.5-point spread. The Owls have piled up wins this season, but they haven't often come easy on the road. FAU lost to UAB on the road on Thursday and the Owls had extremely close calls at Tulane and at USTA, as well as road losses to FGCU and Charlotte on their resume.

FAU has just one double-digit road win, a 69-56 victory at Rice this season, so this is a very large number to cover. The Owls are also just 4-7 ATS as road favorites and 2-5 ATS against teams with a sub-.500 record.

Additionally, Wichita State has already covered against FAU once this season as the Shockers lost 86-77 on Jan. 18 in a game where the Owls were favored by 15.5 points. The model has factored all these trends in and projects that Wichita State covers in nearly 60% of simulations. Stream the game here.
