What to Know

Buffalo will be in front of their home fans on Tuesday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. The Buffalo Bulls and the Ohio Bobcats will face off in a Mid American East battle at 7:30 p.m. ET at UB Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Buffalo, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 31-13 loss to Toledo.

The losing side was boosted by Ron Cook Jr., who gained 132 total yards.

Meanwhile, the point spread may have favored Ohio last Saturday, but the final result did not. They lost to Miami of Ohio at home by a decisive 30-16 margin. Despite 72 more yards than Miami of Ohio, Ohio couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kurtis Rourke, who threw for 313 yards and a touchdown.

Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Ohio, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

In addition to losing their last games, the pair failed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Ohio is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by seven points. This contest will be their sixth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 2-3 against the spread).

Buffalo might still be hurting after the devastating 45-24 loss they got from Ohio in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ohio's Rourke, who threw for 317 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Now that Buffalo knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.

Ohio is a solid 7-point favorite against Buffalo, according to the latest college football odds.

The oddsmakers were right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened as a 7-point spread, and stayed right there.

The over/under is set at 44 points.
