Terron Armstead MIA OT
Dolphins' Terron Armstead: Eyeing return in Week 3
7h agoArmstead (leg, back) was a limited participant at the Dolphins' practice Wednesday, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Armstead has missed each of the Dolphins' first two games of the year, but he reportedly has his "eyes on Sunday" for a potential return according to Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post. The left tackle will have two more practices to put his back/ankle/knee injuries behind him prior to Miami's matchup with the Broncos on Sunday.
-
Delarrin Turner-Yell DEN SAF
Broncos' Delarrin Turner-Yell: Healthy ahead of Week 3
7h agoTurner-Yell did not appear on the Broncos' injury report Wednesday, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Turner-Yell exited the team's 35-33 loss to the Commanders in Week 2 early with cramps, but he's ready to go ahead of Week 3 in Miami. The safety has registered two tackles (one solo) over the first two games of 2023.
-
Elandon Roberts PIT OLB
Steelers' Elandon Roberts: Not on injury report
7h agoRoberts (neck) was not on the Steelers' injury report Wednesday, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.
Roberts suffered a neck stinger in the team's 26-22 win over the Browns on Monday night, but he appears ready to go ahead of Pittsburgh's Week 3 matchup with the Raiders on Sunday night. The linebacker has recorded 10 tackles over his first two contests with the Steelers.
-
Neville Hewitt HOU LB
Texans' Neville Hewitt: Ready for Week 3
8h agoHewitt (illness) was not listed on the Texans' injury report Wednesday.
Hewitt appears to be ready to go for Week 3 after he missed the team's 31-20 loss to the Colts on Sunday. The middle linebacker operated only as a special-teams option in Week 1 and he'll likely return to that role again versus Jacksonville this weekend.
-
Chris Rumph II LAC LB
Chargers' Chris Rumph: Logs limited practice Wednesday
8h agoRumph (hamstring) was a limited participant at the Chargers' practice Wednesday.
Rumph has been unable to play in either of the team's games to this point in 2023, but his ability to practice Wednesday is a step in the right direction. The 24-year-old will to progress past his hamstring injury with a full practice before the end of the week.
-
Daiyan Henley LAC LB
Chargers' Daiyan Henley: Limited practice Wednesday
8h agoHenley (hamstring) was a limited participant at the Chargers' practice Wednesday.
Henley has missed the first two contests of the season while nursing a hamstring injury, but Wednesday's limited session is a step in the right direction. The linebacker will have to more practices this week to increase his participation ahead of the team's Week 3 matchup with Minnesota.
-
Lamar Jackson BAL QB
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Not on injury report
13h agoJackson (hand) isn't listed on the Wednesday's injury report ahead of Sunday's home game against Indianapolis.
Jackson suffered a stinger in his left hand toward the end of a 27-24 win over the Bengals this past Sunday, but he didn't express any concern about the injury when discussing it with reporters after the game. His absence from the Week 3 injury report entirely should erase any concern fantasy managers might have had about his health.
-
C.J. Stroud HOU QB
Texans' C.J. Stroud: Listed as limited Wednesday
13h agoStroud (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Stroud threw for 384 yards and two touchdowns on 47 attempts while playing through shoulder pain in Sunday's 31-20 loss to Indianapolis. With no report of the rookie having suffered any setbacks, he'll likely suit up again Week 3 at Jacksonville even if he remains limited at practice Thursday and/or Friday. Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports that Stroud didn't throw much during Wednesday's practice, mostly working on handoffs with the running backs instead.
-
Taysom Hill NO QB
Saints' Taysom Hill: Dealing with knee issue
14h agoHill was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report due to a knee injury, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
After opening the season with just three carries for four yards and no catches on his only target Week 1 against the Titans, Hill was a much bigger part of the Saints offense Monday at Carolina, rushing nine times for 75 yards, hauling in one of two targets for minus-1 yard and completing his only pass for eight yards. The increased usage initially may have been game-plan specific, but Jamaal Williams' (hamstring) departure in the second quarter also played a role. With Williams likely to miss some time and Alvin Kamara still needing to serve one more game of his suspension, Hill may continue to mix into the backfield along with Tony Jones and potentially Kendre Miller (hamstring) in the short term, assuming his own knee injury doesn't hold him back.
-
Jake Luton CAR QB
Jake Luton: Returns to Carolina
15h agoLuton signed with the Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Luton was waived by the team just before rosters were trimmed down to 53 in August. With Bryce Young dealing with an ankle injury, the Oregon State product will likely serve as an option behind Andy Dalton, if Young were to miss, as Carolina didn't previously have a third quarterback on its practice squad or active roster.
-
Andy Dalton CAR QB
Panthers' Andy Dalton: Leads starters with Young injured
17h agoDalton led the starting offense in Wednesday's practice with Bryce Young unavailable due to an ankle injury, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
Young wasn't removed from Monday's 20-17 loss to the Saints -- apart from one short-yardage snap that Dalton took -- but the rookie apparently injured his ankle at some point and is now looking iffy for Sunday's game in Seattle. It might help the Carolina pass catchers if Dalton ends up under center for a week or two, as Young ranks last among qualified passers with 4.2 yards per attempt through the first two games of the season.
-
Bryce Young CAR QB
Panthers' Bryce Young: Tending to ankle injury
17h agoYoung didn't participate in Wednesday's walk-through practice due to an ankle injury.
Young picked up the ankle injury during Monday's 20-17 loss to the Saints, and his status for Carolina's Week 3 matchup with the Seahawks looks uncertain at the moment. Head coach Frank Reich said that Thursday's practice will reveal more information about Young's status fort his weekend, according to Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site. Carolina has a capable veteran in Andy Dalton ready to step up under center if Young is forced to miss any time.
-
Cam Akers LAR RB
Vikings' Cam Akers: Moving to Minnesota
11h agoThe Rams traded Akers to the Vikings on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Pelissero noted that the deal involves a swap of late-round draft picks in 2026. Akers fell out of favor in the Rams backfield after just one game this season, following up an ugly 22-carry, 29-yard effort Week 1 by going on the inactive list Week 2. Upon joining the Vikings, it may take some time for Akers to fit into a running back rotation with Alexander Mattison -- the clear top option -- and Ty Chandler. Akers will at least have prior experience with head coach Kevin O'Connell working in his favor, as O'Connell was the Rams' offensive coordinator during Akers' first two seasons in the NFL. Akers' first chance to suit up with his new squad arrives Sunday against the Chargers, though he may hold only a limited role if he's active for the contest.
-
Derrick Henry TEN RB
Titans' Derrick Henry: Limited by toe issue
13h agoHenry was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a toe injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Henry is nursing an injury after playing 46 of 65 snaps on offense in this past Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Chargers en route to rushing 25 times for 80 yards and a touchdown while adding three catches for 15 yards. The Titans haven't provided any indication that the running back is in any danger of missing this weekend's game against the Browns, but he'll presumably need to log a full practice by Friday in order to avoid taking an injury tag into the weekend.
-
Travis Etienne JAC RB
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Avoids injury report
13h agoEtienne (cramps) isn't listed on the Wednesday injury report ahead of Sunday's game against Houston.
Etienne missed out on a few snaps in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Chiefs after experiencing cramping, though it probably didn't cost him many fantasy points with Jacksonville looking to throw at that point. He'll continue as the team's lead back in the home opener this Sunday, after taking 30 of the 39 running-back carries and eight of the 10 targets in two straight road games to start the season. Etienne's 76 percent snap share through two weeks is similar to what he handled in most games last season after the Jaguars traded James Robinson to the Jets.
-
Tony Jones NO RB
Saints' Tony Jones: Inked to active roster
13h agoThe Saints signed Jones from their practice squad to the active roster Wednesday, Brooke Kirchhofer of NewOrleans.Football reports.
With Alvin Kamara still serving a suspension, the Saints had only two active running backs Week 2 at Carolina. When Jamaal Williams (hamstring) departed in the second quarter, Jones and the versatile Taysom Hill combined to lead the backfield, with the former salvaging his day with two rushing touchdowns. Overall, Jones had 12 carries for just 34 yards (2.8 YPC) and didn't haul in either of his two targets. Now that he's on the active roster and because Williams may miss some time due to his injury, Jones and rookie Kendre Miller (hamstring) may be tasked with handling most of the reps out of the backfield during Sunday's contest at Green Bay.
-
Kendre Miller NO RB
Saints' Kendre Miller: Listed as full participant
14h agoThe Saints listed Miller (hamstring) as a full participant at Wednesday's walk-through practice, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Miller could easily show up as a limited participant Thursday or Friday if the Saints hold a proper practice on one of those days, but head coach Dennis Allen told John Hendrix of SI.com on Tuesday that the rookie running back would be "full go" during Week 3 prep. Thus, Miller's listing Wednesday is a good enough sign that he's closing in on his professional debut, especially considering that Alvin Kamara has one game left to serve for his suspension and Jamaal Williams may miss some time due to a hamstring injury. Ultimately, Friday's injury report will determine whether or not Miller has a designation ahead of Sunday's visit to Green Bay.
-
Jamaal Williams NO RB
Saints' Jamaal Williams: Sits out walk-through practice
14h agoWilliams (hamstring) didn't take part in Wednesday's walk-through practice, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Williams left Monday's eventual win at Carolina in the second quarter and was unable to return. On Tuesday, head coach Dennis Allen said that Williams will require "some time" to get past his hamstring injury, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. It's thus no surprise that Williams is opening Week 3 prep with no activity. If Williams is limited or sidelined Sunday at Green Bay, the Saints likely will roll with Tony Jones as their lead option on the ground, with Taysom Hill (knee) and potentially Kendre Miller (hamstring) also mixing in for change-of-pace work.
-
Gunner Olszewski PIT WR
Steelers' Gunner Olszewski: Out with concussion
10h agoOlszewski (concussion) was a non-participant at the Steelers' practice Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official website reports.
Olszewski suffered a concussion in Monday's 26-22 win over Cleveland and has now opened the week unavailable for practice as a result. The wide receiver will have to clear concussion protocol prior to potentially playing Sunday versus the Raiders. It's unclear if Olszewski has taken any steps to do so, but he has two more chances to practice this week.
-
Jalen Nailor MIN WR
Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Logs limited practice
10h agoNailor (hamstring) was a limited participant at the Vikings' practice Wednesday.
Nailor is dealing with an apparent hamstring injury, and his status for Week 3 versus Los Angeles is potentially in question. Minnesota has two more practices this week before they take on the Chargers on Sunday, and the wide receiver's status will be worth monitoring.
-
Jeff Smith ARI WR
Jeff Smith: Added to Cardinals' practice squad
10h agoSmith was signed to the Cardinals' practice squad Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official website reports.
Smith will head to Arizona after entering the 2023 season without a team. The wide receiver was released with an injury settlement by the Giants in August after he suffered a knee injury, but he will now have a chance to prove himself with the Cardinals. Smith appeared in 11 games with the Jets in 2022, reeling in eight catches (on 11 targets) for 134 yards.
-
Duece Watts PIT WR
Duece Watts: Signs with Pittsburgh
10h agoWatts signed with the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday.
Undrafted in 2023 out of Tulane, Watts spent the offseason with the Packers before being among the final cuts at the end of August. He caught a nine-yard pass on two targets during the preseason. Watts will be practice depth for Pittsburgh.
-
DK Metcalf SEA WR
Seahawks' DK Metcalf: No practice Wednesday
11h agoMetcalf (ribs) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Metcalf emerged from Seattle's Week 2 overtime win at Detroit with sore ribs, which was something that forced him to hit the sidelines for a spell during that contest. He still finished with six catches (on six targets) for 75 yards on an 82 percent snap share. Head coach Pete Carroll told Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune on Monday that Metcalf would require a few days to recover from the injury, so his absence Wednesday isn't too much of a surprise. Metcalf has two more chances this week to get back on the practice field before the Seahawks potentially give him a designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers.
-
Jakobi Meyers LV WR
Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Logs limited practice
11h agoMeyers (concussion) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
Meyers, who suffered a concussion in Week 1, is "moving through the protocol the right way," according to head coach Josh McDaniels. With a limited session under his belt, Meyers has at least made progress on some level as he navigates the five-step protocol. In addition to gaining clearance from an independent neurologist, Meyers may need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday to have a realistic chance at suiting up Sunday against the Steelers.
-
Darnell Washington PIT TE
Steelers' Darnell Washington: Misses practice Wednesday
10h agoWashington (knee) was a non-participant at the Steelers' practice Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official website reports.
Washington appears to have left Monday's 26-22 win over the Browns a little worse for wear, opening the week on the sidelines at practice. The tight end still has two more practices this week to return to the field prior to Sunday night's matchup with the Raiders.
-
Will Dissly SEA TE
Seahawks' Will Dissly: Tending to shoulder injury
11h agoDissly didn't take part in Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Dissly has been a regular part of Seattle's passing game this season, gathering in all five targets for 52 yards through two games while earning snap shares of 30 percent Week 1 and 55 percent Week 2. With a shoulder injury in tow, his status will be one to monitor as the week goes to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game versus the Panthers. Fellow tight end Noah Fant (ribs) also showed up on Wednesday's injury report, but he was listed as a full participant.
-
Brady Russell SEA TE
Seahawks' Brady Russell: Signed to Seattle's 53-man roster
11h agoThe Seahawks signed Russell off of the Eagles' practice squad Wednesday.
The undrafted rookie spent the offseason in Philly and caught five passes for 50 yards and one touchdown during the preseason. He'll be roster depth behind Noah Fant, Will Dissly (shoulder) and Colby Parkinson in Seattle.
-
Foster Moreau NO TE
Saints' Foster Moreau: Misses practice with ankle injury
13h agoMoreau didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Luke Johnson of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Moreau is nursing the injury two days after recording two catches for 20 yards in the Saints' 20-17 win over the Panthers on Monday. He'll have two more opportunities to get back on the practice field in some capacity before the Saints' Week 3 game Sunday in Green Bay.
-
Jesper Horsted LV TE
Raiders' Jesper Horsted: Yet to play on offense
16h agoHorsted played all 14 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Bills.
Horsted has dressed for both of the Raiders' first two games but has yet to see any work on offense. He remains the clear No. 3 tight end on the depth chart behind Austin Hooper and Michael Mayer.
-
Blake Bell KC TE
Chiefs' Blake Bell: Snaps drop down in Kelce's return
16h agoBell went without a target across 14 snaps on offense in Sunday's 17-9 win over the Jaguars.
Bell logged 25 snaps on offense and cashed in with two catches for 12 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' season-opening loss to the Lions, but as expected, his opportunities took a hit Week 2 with top tight end Travis Kelce (knee) returning to the lineup. The 32-year-old remains the clear third option on the depth chart behind Kelce and Noah Gray.
-
Greg Zuerlein NYJ K
Jets' Greg Zuerlein: Absent from Wednesday's practice
17h agoZuerlein (groin) didn't practice Wednesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Zuerlein remains bothered by the groin injury that prevented him from suiting up in this past Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. Austin Seibert was signed to the practice squad and subsequently made his only field-goal attempt in Week 2 after being elevated in Zuerlein's absence. If Zuerlein hasn't fully healed in advance of this weekend's matchup the Patriots, Seibert would be in line for another elevation from the practice squad.
-
Matt Prater ARI K
Cardinals' Matt Prater: Miss in loss
1d agoPrater missed one of his three field-goal attempts and made both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Giants.
Prater opened the game by missing wide left from 55 yards. He responded by hitting subsequent field goals from 37 and 44 yards in the second quarter. Through two weeks, he sports a commendable 18 points.
-
Justin Tucker BAL K
Ravens' Justin Tucker: Misses kick Sunday
1d agoTucker missed one of his three field-goal attempts but made all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Bengals.
Tucker went wide right from 59 yards in the first quarter but rallied to convert from 44 and 40 yards prior to halftime. He sports 14 total points heading into Week 3's game versus the Colts.
-
Tyler Bass BUF K
Bills' Tyler Bass: Notches eight points
1d agoBass made his only field-goal attempt as well as all five of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Raiders.
Bass converted from 29 yards on his lone field goal. Through two games, he's made all 10 of his kicks. He'll strive to keep his perfect start going in Week 3 versus the Commanders.
-
Eddy Pineiro CAR K
Panthers' Eddy Pineiro: Flawless in defeat
1d agoPineiro made all three of his field-goal tries but didn't attempt an extra point in Monday night's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
Pineiro converted a pair of deep kicks, making from 52 and 54 yards prior to finishing the night with a 36-yarder. Through two games, he's yet to miss while totaling 13 points.
-
Chris Boswell PIT K
Steelers' Chris Boswell: Perfect in victory
2d agoBoswell converted both of his field-goal attempts while making both of his extra-point tries during the Steelers' 26-22 win over the Browns on Monday.
Boswell didn't see much work during the Steelers' blowout loss in the regular-season opener, but he converted two field-goal attempts from at least 50 yards during Monday's primetime victory. Boswell has had nine attempts from 50-plus yards in each of the past two seasons, and it was encouraging to see him make both of his attempts Monday. The 32-year-old converted just 71.4 percent of his field-goal attempts last year but has had a solid start to 2023 despite seeing limited work over Pittsburgh's first two games.
-
Delarrin Turner-Yell DEN SAF
-
Eric Murray HOU SS
Texans' Eric Murray: Limited in practice
8h agoMurray (concussion) was a limited participant in Houston's practice Wednesday.
Murray is working his back from a concussion suffered during Sunday's loss against the Colts. While the 29-year-old participating in practice is an encouraging sign, Murray will still have to clear the concussion protocol before the team's Week 3 matchup against the Jaguars.
