His entry into the lineup Sunday comes while Carlos Santana (illness) is on the bench, but the Twins could make Miranda a priority ahead of Santana once the latter player is healthy again. Dating back to the beginning of August, Santana is hitting just .196, while Miranda has upheld a .252 batting average during that same timeframe.
