Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Lands on IL with strained hamstring
The Orioles placed Westburg on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left hamstring strain.
The team had initially pegged the infielder as day-to-day after he suffered the injury Saturday against the Tigers, but subsequent testing revealed a strain. Westburg will be eligible for activation May 7, but it's unclear whether he will be ready to go on that date. Ramon Urias will handle the bulk of the playing time at third base while Westburg is sidelined.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Deemed day-to-day
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde classified Westburg as day-to-day Monday due to a sore hamstring, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports. "We're staying optimistic and hopeful," Hyde said of Westburg's status.
Westburg is out of the lineup for Monday's series opener versus the Yankees, marking his second consecutive absence due to the hamstring issue. According to Jake Rill of MLB.com, Westburg is scheduled to undergo further testing Monday as the Orioles look to gain a better understanding regarding the extent of his injury. If the MRI reveals a strain, the 26-year-old infielder could require a stint on the injured list.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Remains out Monday
Westburg (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game versus the Yankees, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
It's the second straight start he's missed due to a sore hamstring. Westburg was reportedly available off the bench Sunday and should be again Monday, so a stint on the injured list looks unlikely at the moment. Ramos Urias is at third base and batting seventh in Monday's series opener.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Dealing with sore hamstring
Westburg is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Detroit due to hamstring soreness, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
The injury cropped up during Saturday's doubleheader as Westburg went 4-for-9 with an RBI and a caught stealing. The 26-year-old is expected to be available off the bench, so the injury doesn't appear to be a serious concern. Ramon Urias is starting at the hot corner in Sunday's series finale versus the Tigers.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Exits starting nine
Westburg is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Westburg missed a game last week with an upper-body issue but had started each of the previous three contests. His absence from Wednesday's lineup appears to be a routine day off. Ramon Urias will start at third base and bat ninth for the Orioles.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Back in lineup Saturday
Westburg (upper body) will start at third base and bat fourth Saturday against the Blue Jays.
Westburg was held out of Wednesday's contest due to a nagging upper-body injury. Thanks to a scheduled day off Thursday and a bit of rain Friday, the 26-year-old was able to receive plenty of rest and is now ready to take the field again.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Nursing upper-body injury
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that Westburg is being held out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks due to an upper-body injury, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Hyde described Westburg's injury as a nagging issue that previously resulted in the infielder sitting out a March 30 loss in Toronto. However, Westburg returned to the lineup the next day and had started each of the Orioles' last eight games prior to Wednesday while going 5-for-30 at the plate. Hyde didn't seem too concerned about the issue preventing Westburg from playing in this weekend's three-game series versus the Blue Jays, so the expectation is that the 26-year-old infielder will be back in the lineup Friday following Thursday's team off day.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Receiving afternoon off
Westburg is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
The Orioles are presumably just giving Westburg some rest for the day game after a night game. Westburg previously sat out a March 30 loss to the Blue Jays due to an unspecified injury, but he proceeded to start in each of the last eight games, going 5-for-30 with three walks, three runs and an RBI. His absence from the lineup Wednesday will open up a spot in the infield for Ramon Urias, who will start at third base and bat eighth.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Back in lineup Monday
Westburg (undisclosed) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Red Sox, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
After going 6-for-13 with three solo home runs and a walk through the Orioles' first three games, Westburg was surprisingly held out of the lineup for Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Blue Jays. Though the assumption heading into the day was that Westburg was getting a rest day, manager Brandon Hyde said after the game that the 26-year-old infielder was available for the contest only in an emergency due to an unspecified issue. Whatever the case, Westburg is back in action Monday, as anticipated, so fantasy managers can feel comfortable with locking him into their lineups.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Available only in emergency Sunday
Manager Brandon Hyde said after Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Blue Jays that Westburg was available for the contest only if an emergency situation had arisen, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The 26-year-old's absence from the lineup was presumed to be a rest day, but there was apparently an unspecified issue that prevented him from taking the field. Westburg is expected to be back in the lineup Monday against the Red Sox, per Weyrich, so the infielder doesn't appear to be tending to a serious concern.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Getting rest Sunday
Westburg is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
He hasn't suffered any reported injuries through the Orioles' first three games, so manager Brandon Hyde seems to be giving the 26-year-old infielder a planned day off for the series finale in Toronto after Westburg went 6-for-13 with three solo home runs, a walk and an additional run to begin the season. Jackson Holliday will slide over from shortstop to fill in at second base.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Homers twice in win over Blue Jays
Westburg went 4-for-5 with two home runs and an additional run scored in a 9-5 win over Toronto on Saturday.
Westburg is off to a blazing start in 2025 with a robust .462 batting average (6-for-13) to go along with three home runs and four runs through three games. He took advantage of a rusty Max Scherzer and followed up Colton Cowser's leadoff homer with a 434-foot smash to left-center to give the Orioles an early 2-0 lead. Westburg's second homer of the contest came in the seventh inning and finished the scoring for the game. He's batted leadoff against right-handed pitchers in the first three games of the season and has some serious run potential this year.
