Pallante (5-5) took the loss Wednesday against the Nationals, giving up seven runs on eight hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out one.
Pallante was knocked around, matching a season high in runs allowed and falling one hit allowed short of his season worst. The 26-year-old right-hander tends to pitch to contact, as he entered Wednesday with a 64.6 percent groundball rate in 2025, and that got him into trouble while tying a season low with one strikeout against Washington. Pallante will carry an ordinary 4.49 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 64:32 K:BB over 100.1 innings into the All-Star break, and he'll likely primarily remain a matchup-based streamer for fantasy purposes.

Cardinals' Andre Pallante: Blanks Bucs in no-decision
Pallante came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Pirates, scattering one hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out three.
The righty was brilliant in his seventh quality start of the season, not even allowing a Pittsburgh runner to get into scoring position, but the St. Louis offense couldn't solve Paul Skenes and the Bucs' bullpen. Pallante has given up three earned runs or fewer in five straight trips to the mound, posting a 2.22 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 19:8 K:BB in 28.1 innings over that span, but he has just a 1-1 record to show for it. He'll look for more run support in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Nationals.

Pallante (5-4) took the loss against the Cubs on Thursday, giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts over five innings.
Pallante allowed a solo homer in the second inning -- his first homer surrendered since June 3 -- and issued a bases-loaded walk in the fourth. It was a mixed outing for the 26-year-old, who generated 12 whiffs but threw just 52 strikes on 94 pitches. Pallante (5-3) picked up the win Friday against the Reds, giving up no runs on two hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out four.
Pallante flummoxed the Reds in his second scoreless start of the year, submitting 12 whiffs while also inducing 10 groundouts. The 26-year-old right-hander also tied his season low in hits allowed en route to his sixth quality start among 15 outings in 2025. Pallante still owns an uninspiring 4.48 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 58:27 K:BB over 82.1 innings, but he does lead the major leagues in groundouts (139) among pitchers. That said, he'll be hard to trust in his next projected appearance versus a Cubs offense that entered Friday with MLB's lowest groundball rate (38.2 percent) for the season.

Pallante opened with three scoreless frames before allowing four runs across the fourth and fifth. This was a nice bounce-back performance for Pallante after he allowed seven runs over 4.1 frames in his previous start versus Kansas City. The right-hander recorded his fifth quality start of the campaign and completed six innings for the first time over his past four appearances. Pallante has been inconsistent this season and holds a 4.75 ERA along with a 1.38 WHIP over 13 starts covering 72 innings. He's projected for a road matchup against Milwaukee this weekend.

In his longest outing of the season, Pallante took a shutout into the eighth inning before Dylan Crews connected on a two-run homer. The right-hander fired 61 of 91 pitches for strikes in his first win in nearly a month, and he'll take a 4.36 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB through 43.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Kansas City.

This was Pallante's shortest outing of the season and the third time he's failed to complete five innings over seven starts. Pallante is now at a 4.75 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 21:16 K:BB over 36 innings.
