  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Racks up three hits in loss

Arraez went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 8-6 loss to the Dodgers.

Arraez is 10-for-31 (.323) over his last seven games, a span that has seen him rack up three doubles, three RBI and five runs scored. The infielder is up to a .280/.312/.396 slash line with three homers, 27 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases, 16 doubles and three triples over 66 contests. Arraez continues to provide steady contact with a tiny 1.7 percent strikeout rate -- he hasn't struck out since May 25 versus Atlanta.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Two doubles in three-hit game

Arraez went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and four runs scored in Tuesday's 11-1 win over the Dodgers.

Arraez hasn't found any over-the-fence power in June, but he's gone 11-for-42 (.262) with five doubles across 10 games this month. He did his part to get on base frequently Tuesday, and Manny Machado benefited, knocking in Arraez three times in a five-RBI effort. Arraez is at a .281/.314/.405 slash line with three home runs, 15 doubles, three triples, 25 RBI, 31 runs scored and three stolen bases over 60 games this season. He continues to switch between first base and designated hitter, sharing both positions with Gavin Sheets.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Comes through with clutch hit

Arraez went 1-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.

San Diego trailed by two runs with two outs in the ninth inning before Arraez tied the score with a two-run double. The big hit wasn't quite enough to send San Diego home with a victory, however, as Caleb Durbin swatted a walk-off homer for the Brewers in the bottom of the frame. Arraez has reached base safely in each of his first six games in June, though he's batting just .250 (7-for-28) during that span. Arraez's batting average sits at a fine .281 on the campaign, but that's well below his career mark as his three-year streak of winning a batting title looks to be in peril.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Returning to lineup

Arraez (knee) will serve as the designated hitter and bat second against Milwaukee on Friday.

Padres manager Mike Shildt told reporters Thursday that Arraez is working through posterior knee soreness. The 28-year-old is considered day-to-day, but he could see more work as the Padres' DH while Gavin Sheets shifts to first base. Arraez has gone 10-for-35 with five RBI over his last nine games.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Nursing sore knee

Manager Mike Shildt said Thursday that Arraez is day-to-day with posterior knee soreness, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Arraez appeared to tweak his knee while running to first base in the top of the sixth inning Thursday against the Giants, and he was replaced on defense when the Padres took the field in for the bottom of the frame. Shildt's comments suggest that the 28-year-old infielder didn't suffer any significant damage during the incident and could be back in the starting lineup within a few days. If Arraez ends up needing to miss a few games, Gavin Sheets or Jake Cronenworth would likely shift over to first base.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Breaks slump with three-hit game

Arraez went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 8-6 win over the Marlins.

Arraez supplied the game-tying and go-ahead hits, knocking in a run with a single in each of the fourth and fifth innings. This ended his 0-for-14 drought at the plate, which was enough to earn him a partial rest day Monday before he appeared off the bench. Prior to that slump, he had hit safely in 11 of 12 games, batting .358 (19-for-53) in that span. Overall, the contact-hitting infielder is at a .289/.322/.416 slash line with three home runs, nine doubles, three triples, 18 RBI, 20 runs scored and two stolen bases across 47 contests.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Not starting Monday

Arraez is not in the Padres' starting lineup against the Marlins on Monday.

Arraez -- who has gone 0-for-12 over his last three games -- will get his first rest day since being activated from the 10-day injured list April 29. Jake Cronenworth will shift over to first while Jose Iglesias gets the start at the keystone.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Three hits in Friday's loss

Arraez went 3-for-4 with a double in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Mariners.

The Padres managed only eight hits in total, while the three batters behind Arraez in the order went a combined 0-for-11, so the 28-year-old's knocks didn't lead to any offense. Arraez is finding his groove in May, recording four three-hit performances in 13 games while producing a .298/.333/.368 slash line with six RBI and nine runs.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Records three RBI in rout

Arraez went 3-for-7 with a triple, two runs and three RBI in Saturday's 21-0 win against the Rockies.

Arraez got in on the action during a massive day for San Diego's offense, singling in a run in the second inning and adding a two-run triple in the fourth. The veteran infielder has racked up three hits in two straight games, lifting his season batting average to .298. Arraez currently sits at 10th in the National League in that category as he seeks his fourth straight batting title.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Plates three in victory

Arraez went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and three RBI in Friday's 9-4 win over the Pirates.

Arraez gave the Padres a 3-2 lead with his run-scoring single in the fifth and added a two-run single in the eighth. Since returning from a stint on the 7-day concussion IL on April 29, the veteran infielder has collected at least one hit and at least one RBI in each of his three games. Arraez started slowly this season but is now batting a robust .313 -- ninth best in the National League -- as he pursues a fourth consecutive batting title.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Hitting well since return

Arraez went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run and an RBI in a 5-3 win against San Francisco on Wednesday.

Arraez was activated from the 7-day concussion injured list Tuesday and went 1-for-3 with an RBI in his return to action that day. The veteran infielder added another two hits Wednesday, with his sixth-inning triple plating a run. Arraez has shown a bit more pop than usual with three homers, three doubles, a triple and an overall .149 ISO thus far in 2025, and he's recovered from a slow start at the plate to push his batting average up to .298 through 104 plate appearances.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Activated from IL

The Padres reinstated Arraez (concussion) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

A collision with Mauricio Dubon sent Arraez to the 7-day concussion IL last week, but he's now been given the green light to return to competitive action. Jason Heyward (knee) will come off the IL alongside Arraez to replace Mason McCoy (finger) and Yuli Gurriel.

  • Padres' Luis Arraez: Expected to return Tuesday

Arraez (concussion) is expected to be activated from the 7-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game versus the Giants, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Arraez landed on the IL last week following a collision with the Astros' Mauricio Dubon, but he's poised to return after the minimum seven-day absence. The Padres have been using Gavin Sheets as their regular first baseman since Arraez went down, and Sheets will go back to being the club's primary designated hitter when Arraez returns.
