Ramos knocked an RBI sacrifice fly in the first inning before belting a two-run shot in the fourth. He was hit by a pitch in the sixth and hit an RBI single in the eighth. • Giants' Heliot Ramos: Scores winning run

Ramos went 2-for-3 with a steal and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Rangers. Ramos had two of the five hits the Giants managed on the day and swiped his first bag since April 4. His second hit was an infield single that turned into a little-league homer after two throwing errors allowed him to scoot all the way around the bases to end the game. Ramos now has four multi-hit efforts in his last eight games but has just one RBI to show for it. For the season, he's lifted his average to .246 and his three steals are already half the number of steals he totaled in 121 games in 2024.

Ramos went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Angels. Ramos doubled and then scored in the fifth for the game's first run. It was his second time this season reaching base four times and his first time with a positive BB:K in a game, as he didn't strike out at all Sunday. Ramos has hit safely in six of his last seven games but sits at a .231 average on the season.

  • Giants' Heliot Ramos: Scores twice in loss

Ramos went 1-for-4 with two runs scored during Thursday's 6-4 loss to Philadelphia. Ramos lined a two-out double into center field and came around to score in the first frame. In the sixth, he reached first base on an error and scored again. It marked just the second time this season that he's scored twice in a game, with both instances coming in his last two appearances. The 25-year-old outfielder notched at least one hit in all four games of the Giants' series against the Phillies, going 5-for-17 with two doubles. Despite the resurgence, Ramos has cooled off following a hot start to the 2025 campaign and is now slashing .225/.271/.413 with nine RBI, six doubles, three homers and a 4:24 BB:K across 85 plate appearances.

  • Giants' Heliot Ramos: Likely to bat leadoff vs. lefties

Ramos went 1-for-3 with a double in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Athletics in Cactus League play, and he is making a case to hit leadoff against lefties during the regular season, Shayna Rubin of the San Fransisco Chronicle reports. Ramos hit leadoff against southpaw Jeffrey Springs in Tuesday's win, and he crushed lefties in 2024 with a .370/.439/.750 slash line and 10 homers in 123 at-bats. "Look at his numbers last year against lefty pitching and he's inspired to do it, too," manager Bob Melvin said. "We'll see where it goes." The 25-year-old outfielder is hitting .231 in 13 at-bats in Cactus League play, and he has also recorded two stolen bases. Ramos is slated to serve as the club's everyday left fielder in 2025 after a successful 2024 campaign, during which he finished with a .269/.322/.469 slash line, 22 home runs and six steals over 121 outings.

  • Giants' Heliot Ramos: Resumes hitting Wednesday

Ramos (oblique) hit off a tee and took soft toss Wednesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. It's a day earlier than he was expected to resume hitting, which would appear to be a good sign. Recovering from a sore oblique, Ramos is hopeful of making his Cactus League debut March 4. The young outfielder is expected to be ready in time for Opening Day, provided he can avoid setbacks.

  • Giants' Heliot Ramos: Expected to resume hitting Thursday

Ramos (oblique) will throw Monday and likely resume hitting Thursday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports. The young outfielder tweaked his oblique while dodging a pitch during a recent live batting practice session. If that all goes well this week, Ramos should be ready for his Cactus League debut March 4. He has plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day, barring any setbacks.

  • Giants' Heliot Ramos: Pops homer in live BP

Ramos (hamstring/foot) took part in live batting practice against right-hander Justin Verlander during Wednesday's full-squad workout, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Ramos provided one of the highlights of the day during his round of BP, hitting a long home run that struck the scoreboard at Scottsdale Stadium. Though he impressed in his first full big-league campaign in 2024 with a .269/.322/.469 slash line to go with 22 home runs and six steals over 121 games, Ramos disclosed after the season that he had been dealing with a tight hamstring and plantar fasciitis down the stretch. Neither issue presented any reported complications during his offseason training program, and Ramos doesn't appear to be facing any restrictions during spring training. He's poised to handle an everyday role for the Giants in 2025 and will likely slot somewhere in the middle of the lineup against both right- and left-handed pitchers.

Ramos had a breakout age-24 season, slashing .269/.322/.469 with 22 home runs and six steals in 518 plate appearances.

Ramos is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.
