  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Lined up for Game 3 start

Myers will start a potential Game 3 of the National League Wild Card Series versus the Mets on Thursday if he's not needed in relief in Game 2, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports. It's all hands on deck for the Brewers on Wednesday as they try to stave off elimination, but Myers is tentatively lined up to take the ball in Game 3, if Milwaukee is able to force a winner-take-all contest. Myers was arguably the Brewers' biggest surprise this season as he held a 3.00 ERA and 127:36 K:BB across 138 frames in his rookie year.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Earns win in bulk-relief role

Myers (9-6) allowed one hit and struck out five without walking a batter over four shutout innings to earn the win in relief Saturday versus the Mets. Myers pitched behind opener Jared Koenig, which could be a signal that Myers will be used out of the bullpen in the postseason. He has gone exactly four innings in each of his last three appearances. The rookie right-hander allowed 13 runs (10 earned) over 29.2 innings across six outings in September, a performance right in line with the rest of his season. He concludes his first major-league regular season with a 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 127:36 K:BB over 138 innings across 27 outings (25 starts).

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Goes four innings vs. Pittsburgh

Myers didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits over four innings. He struck out four. Myers has hit a bit of a snag down the stretch, allowing seven runs over 14 innings in his last three outings. Still, it's been an impressive campaign overall for the rookie right-hander -- Myers is 8-6 with a 3.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 122:36 K:BB across 134 innings. He'll look to head into the playoffs on a high note in his final regular-season outing, currently scheduled for this weekend at home against the Mets.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Inefficient in defeat

Myers (8-6) took the loss against Arizona on Thursday, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out five batters over four innings. Only one of the runs Myers allowed was earned, but he wasn't sharp. The right-hander needed 93 pitches to get through four frames, and only 52 of those offerings were strikes. The outing was Myers' shortest since he went four frames against St. Louis on Aug. 21, and the loss was his first since Aug. 4 versus Washington.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Snags eighth win

Myers (8-5) allowed four runs on nine hits and struck out three without walking a batter over six-plus innings to earn the win Saturday over the Diamondbacks. The Brewers spotted Myers with a 13-run lead before he faltered in the sixth and seventh innings. He hasn't exactly been stellar in recent weeks with just one quality start of his last six outings, though he has a 31:9 K:BB over 32.1 innings in that span. Myers is now at a 3.07 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 115:33 K:BB through 126 innings over 24 appearances (23 starts) this year. The rookie right-hander is projected to make his next start at home in a rematch with the Diamondbacks.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Strikes out career-high 11 in win

Myers (7-5) picked up the win Saturday against the Rockies. He allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out 11 over six innings. Outside of a solo home run served up to Ryan McMahon, Myers was fantastic in one of the best starts of his young career. Myers got his first career start with double-digit strikeouts and at one point recorded eight straight outs via punchout. The rookie right-hander has been one of the better pitchers in the National League for over half the season now. Since the beginning of June, Myers has a 2.22 ERA, which is good for third best in all of MLB over that span.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Fans seven in no-decision

Myers did not factor into the decision in Sunday's loss to the Reds, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits and four walks while striking out seven in 5.2 innings. Sunday's outing could have been much worse for Myers, who matched his season-worst marks in both hits and walks allowed with eight and four, respectively. Myers was able to limit the damage with some timely strikeouts, allowing two runs to score on sacrifice flies and a third on a Jake Fraley solo home run. Myers has been a highly dependable pitcher for the Brewers this season, particularly since the All-Star break, after which he has allowed three runs or fewer in all eight of his starts. During that span, Myers owns an impressive 2.76 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB in 42.1 innings. The right-hander is tentatively scheduled for a favorable home start against Colorado next weekend.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Surrenders three runs

Myers allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Tuesday. Myers allowed solo home runs to Matt Chapman and Grant McCray. He left the game on the hook for the loss, but Myers was bailed out by Willy Adames putting the Brewers briefly ahead with a two-run homer in the sixth. August has been just okay for Myers, who has allowed 10 runs (eight earned) over 27 innings this month, though he's pitched into the sixth inning in just two of his five starts in that span. He's now at a 2.99 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 94:28 K:BB over 108.1 innings through 21 appearances (20 starts). The rookie right-hander's next start is projected to be in Cincinnati.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Inefficient in no-decision

Myers allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over four innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Wednesday. Myers was inefficient, requiring 89 pitches (59 strikes) to get through four frames, matching his shortest start since the All-Star break. On the bright side, he kept the ball in the yard for a third straight start. Myers is now at a 2.87 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 90:27 K:BB through 103.1 innings over 20 appearances (19 starts) this year. Fatigue shouldn't be an issue just yet -- the rookie right-hander threw 140.2 innings overall in 2023 and is at just 122 frames across all levels in 2024. He's tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Giants.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Fans five in short outing

Myers struck out five batters while allowing one run on three hits and a walk over four innings Sunday. He did not factor into the decision during the win over Miami. Myers coughed up a homer to Xavier Edwards on the first pitch of the day but settled in after that. Myers threw just 75 pitches (50 strikes), his lowest total since June 12 against Toronto. Despite the short outing, he lowered his ERA to 3.10 with a 73:23 K:BB through 81.1 innings this season. Myers is projected to make his next start in Washington.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Takes third loss

Myers (5-3) took the loss against the Rockies on Thursday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings. Myers allowed multiple baserunners in each of the first two frames, leading to three runs coming home early for Colorado. He then cruised through the next two innings before surrendering a solo shot to Jake Cave in the sixth, marking the second game in a row in which the 25-year-old has given up a home run. Myers also allowed a season-high eight hits on the night en route to being handed his first loss since May 4 against the Cubs. On a positive note, he's now gone at least six innings in five of his last six starts.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Receiving another start

Myers is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays in Milwaukee. With the Milwaukee rotation having been hit hard by injuries of late, Myers was called up from Triple-A Nashville last Wednesday and thrust back into a starting role, despite having turned in an underwhelming 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP through his first seven outings (six starts) with the Brewers this season. Myers slotted into the rotation Friday and proceeded to deliver the best outing of his young big-league career, stymieing the Tigers over eight shutout innings while allowing just four baserunners and striking out five. Unsurprisingly, Myers will get another start on the heels of his big effort, and he could lengthen his leash in the rotation if he delivers another quality showing versus Toronto.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Stellar in spot start

Myers (2-2) earned the win Friday against Detroit, allowing just one hit and three walks over eight scoreless innings. He struck out five. After he was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Myers rejoined the Brewers' rotation Friday and delivered a fantastic effort -- he allowed a single to Matt Vierling to lead off the first inning (which was erased on a pickoff) before proceeding to hold the Tigers hitless over his final seven frames. Myers lowered his ERA to 4.15 with a 1.24 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB across 34.2 innings in a swing role with Milwaukee this year. He figures to stick in the rotation for now due to Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all being on the IL.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Drawing start Friday

Myers will start Friday's game in Detroit, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Myers was available in relief for Wednesday's game against the Phillies after being recalled from Triple-A Nashville earlier that day, but since he wasn't needed, he'll be thrown back into the rotation this weekend against the Tigers. The 25-year-old has made six starts and one relief appearance for the Brewers this season, posting a 5.40 ERA and 27:10 K:BB over 26.2 innings. Myers could be needed for additional starts after Friday as Milwaukee battles numerous injuries to its rotation.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Returns to majors

The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday. Myers should be available out of the bullpen beginning with Wednesday's game against the Phillies, but he might be needed to make some starts while the Brewers are without multiple rotation members. The rookie right-hander holds a 5.40 ERA and 27:10 K:BB over 26.2 innings for Milwaukee, covering six starts and one relief appearance.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Roughed up in no-decision

Myers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 12-5 win over the White Sox, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out four. Myers entered this start on a hot streak, firing a 1.93 ERA and 12:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings in his last three outings, but struggled against a weak White Sox lineup. He allowed just one homer -- a 417-foot solo shot to Paul DeJong -- but failed to reach multiple strikeouts in a start for the first time this season. The Brewers' rotation plans are murky, currently as DL Hall (knee) has been making rehab starts and could return soon. If Myers remains in the rotation for another start, it would come against the Phillies on the road next week.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Solid versus Boston

Myers pitched 4.1 innings Sunday against Boston, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks. He struck out four and did not factor into the decision. The 25-year-old got his first start since being called up Tuesday, taking the place of Joe Ross (back) in the Brewers rotation. Myers pitched well, not allowing a home run for the first time in five starts this season and improving his shaky 10:8 K:BB ratio. With five Brewers starters on the IL, Myers could stick in the rotation for the time being, especially if he continues to pitch like he did Sunday.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Recalled from Triple-A

The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. Myers is taking the roster spot vacated by Joe Ross (back) and is also a candidate to take Ross' place in the rotation, although it would appear he'll be available in relief for now. The right-hander holds a 5.29 ERA and 17:9 K:BB over 17 innings covering four starts with Milwaukee this season.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Sent down to minors

The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Friday. The transaction comes one day after Myers was charged with one run on three hits and four walks over four innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals. Myers should be under consideration for future starts with the Brewers but will rejoin Nashville's rotation for the time being.

  • Brewers' Tobias Myers: Ugly outing in Chicago

Myers (0-2) took the loss to the Cubs on Saturday, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks over three innings. He struck out two batters. Nico Hoerner and Christopher Morel touched Myers up for homers, sending the right-hander to his second loss in three starts. Walks had not been an issue for Myers in his first two turns, as he walked only one batter in his first 10 innings, but he couldn't find the strike zone and/or didn't trust his stuff enough on this particular day to fill up the zone. While it was a step backward, Myers projects to remain in the rotation for the time being with DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) still without definitive timetables.
