Brewers' Trevor Megill: Picks up 21st save
Megill pitched a perfect ninth while striking out two en route to his 21st save of the season in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.
Megill was tasked with facing the heart of the Dodgers' order and stood tall by striking out Freddie Freeman and Andy Pages before getting Michael Conforto to fly out to end the game. Over his last 10 appearances, Megill has tallied multiple strikeouts seven times and owns a 1.59 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 18:3 K:BB in 11.1 innings over that span. He now sits tied for fifth in baseball with 21 saves, which also ties his career high he set last year.

Megill earned the save in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Marlins, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.
Megill was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning and needed just 12 pitches to close things out. After blowing a save in his final June outing, the 31-year-old has now converted two straight opportunities to open July and delivered his third clean frame over his past 10 appearances. For the season, he's 20-for-23 in save chances with a 2.56 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 38:15 K:BB across 31.2 innings.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Collects 19th save
Megill gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his 19th save of the season in a 6-5 win over the Marlins. He struck out one.
Miami's hitters made him work, fouling off 10 of his 32 pitches (20 total strikes), but Megill finally got the job done. The right-hander bounced back nicely from his third blown save of the season, and he's two saves shy of matching the career-high 21 he racked up last year. Since the beginning of June, Megill has a 2.92 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 16:4 K:BB through 12.1 innings.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Suffers third blown save
Megill blew the save in Sunday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to Colorado. He allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and no walks over two innings with two strikeouts.
The Milwaukee closer entered the ninth with a one-run lead, which he coughed up by allowing a 385-foot solo shot to Orlando Arcia. Megill then reappeared for the 10th frame and allowed the automatic runner to score on a Thairo Estrada single. In total, Megill required 30 pitches, 22 of which were strikes, to complete this appearance. Despite this hiccup, the flamethrowing right-hander has been solid in 11.1 June innings with a 3.18 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB while converting eight of 10 save opportunities.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Pockets 18th save
Megill struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 18th save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Pirates.
The 31-year-old righty came through with his sixth straight successful conversion, and on the year he's blown only two of his 20 save chances. Megill hasn't been quite as dominant as his predecessors in the Milwaukee closer role, Josh Hader and Devin Williams, but that's a high bar to clear, and he's been more than adequate in his first full season with the job. Through 27.2 innings, Megill's posted a 2.60 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB.

Megill's converted his last five save chances, allowing one run while striking out 10 in that span (5.1 innings). His ERA sits at 2.70 on the year with a 1.31 WHIP and 32:14 K:BB across 26.2 innings.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Shaky in 15th save
Megill secured the save in Sunday's 3-2 win against St. Louis, allowing two hits with three strikeouts in a scoreless inning.
The Milwaukee closer labored a bit in this 29-pitch appearance, as the first two batters he faced reached via singles. However, Megill recovered to punch out the side, including fanning both Victor Scott and Masyn Winn with runners on second and third to wrap up the contest. Despite being unsteady over his past seven appearances with a 5.14 ERA and 1.43 WHIP, Megill is firmly cemented in the closer's role thanks to a 10.7 K/9 through 24.1 total frames.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Holds on for 14th save
Megill picked up the save in Friday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals, giving up one run on two hits and no walks in the ninth inning. He struck out two.
Although Megill has already amassed four saves in June, he's now surrendered at least one earned run in three of his last six outings. The hard-throwing right-hander has still been able to convert five of his six save chances during this span, so he should still have a pretty strong grip on Milwaukee's closing gig. On the season, Megill sports a 3.09 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 26:12 K:BB while going 14-for-16 in save opportunities over 23.1 frames.

Megill picked up the save in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Atlanta, throwing a clean ninth inning with two strikeouts.
After giving up two runs in a blown save Saturday against the Padres, Megill righted the ship Tuesday for his 13th save of the campaign. The hard-throwing right-hander has still been excellent for the most part over his last 17.2 innings, posting a 2.04 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB over that span as Milwaukee's clear-cut closer.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Blows save but notches win
Megill (1-2) blew a save but earned the win against the Padres on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk over one inning.
Megill entered in the ninth frame to try to protect a 3-1 Brewers lead, but he couldn't get the job done. The righty reliever yielded a one-out single and a two-out walk before allowing the Padres to tie the score on a two-run Luis Arraez double. Megill remained in the game and retired Manny Machado on a groundout, and he emerged with his first win of the campaign when Caleb Durbin hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth. The blown save was just the second of the season in 14 chances for Megill, and Saturday marked the second time he's surrendered an earned run over his past 15 outings, so he's plenty secure in his closer role.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Grabs another save Monday
Megill notched the save in Monday's 3-2 win over the Reds after throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out one.
Following an uneven start to the campaign as Milwaukee's closer, Megill has settled in nicely over the past month of action. The hard-throwing right-hander holds a 0.69 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB over his last 13 innings, successfully converting each of his 10 save opportunities during this stretch. Megill appears to be well over the knee issue that plagued him earlier in the year.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Battles for 10th save
Megill picked up his 10th save during Monday's 3-2 victory over the Red Sox, allowing one run on one hit and three walks.
It wasn't pretty, but Megill was able to get the final three outs of the Brewers' Memorial Day victory to cash in on his ninth straight save opportunity and 10th overall this season. He needed 34 pitches and walked three batters along the way -- a shock considering he had walked three batters combined in his 10 other appearances in May. It was the first time the 31-year-old surrendered an earned run since late April, a span of 12 appearances.

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Puts out fire for save Thursday
Megill picked up the save in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Pirates after throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out one.
It was a spotless inning of work for Megill but not for the Brewers, who saw Carlos Rodriguez give up two earned runs in the frame. Megill allowed one of those runs to come across via a groundout, but it was still his 10th consecutive outing without being charged with an earned run. The hard-throwing right-hander has strengthened his hold on Milwaukee's closing job after a rocky beginning in 2025, having converted each of his last six save chances while posting a 0.93 ERA and 9:4 K:BB across his last 9.2 innings.
