Mariners' Logan Gilbert: Inks contract for 2025
Gilbert agreed to a one-year, $7.625 million contract with the Mariners on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
The right-hander led MLB with 208.2 innings last season and had a 3.23 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 220:37 K:BB as he made a career-high 33 starts. Gilbert picked up just nine wins despite his strong performance, but he has quickly established himself as one of the more reliable pitchers in baseball with a 3.60 ERA in 121 starts through his first four big-league seasons.

Mariners' Logan Gilbert: Leads majors in innings
Gilbert (9-12) allowed one hit and struck out seven without walking a batter over 5.2 scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday over the Athletics.
Gilbert was perfect into the sixth inning before Nick Allen hit a two-out single to end his day. Gilbert ends the regular season as the major-league leader in innings pitched with 208.2, two ahead of Kansas City's Seth Lugo. While he alternated between good and poor starts in September, Gilbert was generally one of the steadiest members of a strong Seattle rotation. He finished the campaign with a 3.23 ERA, led all major-league starters with a 0.89 WHIP and added a 220:37 K:BB over 33 starts, though he missed the 10-win mark for the first time in three years.

Mariners' Logan Gilbert: Gives up three homers
Gilbert (8-12) allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings to take the loss versus the Astros on Tuesday.
This was just the fifth time all year that Gilbert gave up multiple home runs, as the Astros were able to tag him for three overall. Over five starts in September, Gilbert has allowed 16 runs over 31.1 innings, including eight homers, despite a 41:6 K:BB. He's now at a 3.33 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 213:37 K:BB through 203 innings over 32 starts this season. He is not currently projected to pitch again in the regular season, though he would be on regular rest if the Mariners have anything to play for in their last game Sunday versus the Athletics.

Mariners' Logan Gilbert: Reaches 200 Ks in win
Gilbert (8-11) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings against the Yankees. He struck out nine.
Gilbert was afforded an early three-run lead then held the Yankees in check, with the only damage coming by way of a two-run homer in the third off the bat of Jazz Chisholm. Gilbert's whiff of Giancarlo Stanton to end the first gave him 200 on the season, marking the first time in Gilbert's four-year career he's reached the 200-strikeout milestone. He ended the day with nine strikeouts, one shy of matching a season high. Gilbert lines up for a start early next week against the Astros, which could be his final outing of the season.
