  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Pummels three homers

Dominguez went 3-for-4 with three home runs and seven RBI in Friday's 10-2 win over the Athletics.

It was a career-best game for the talented youngster, who came into this contest with just two homers on the year. Dominguez went back-to-back with Paul Goldschmidt in the third inning, added a sacrifice fly in the fifth, hit another solo shot in the seventh and then launched a grand slam in the eighth. Trent Grisham's strong play lately has cost Dominguez some playing time, but the Yankees won't have Dominguez sitting for too long. He's now batting .250 with an .802 OPS, five homers, 19 RBI, 20 runs scored and three stolen bases over 32 games this season.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Hitting bench Monday

Dominguez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

The New York outfield has become a four-man rotation of late with manager Aaron Boone having made more of an effort to keep Trent Grisham's hot bat in the lineup. With Grisham manning center field and Cody Bellinger and Aaron Judge flanking him in left and right field, respectively, Dominguez will be the odd man out Monday. Dominguez has now sat three times in the last six games and could end up settling in as more of a part-time player if Grisham continues to rake.

Dominguez is batting .171 (6-for-41) with 19 strikeouts across his past 11 games and will sit Friday for the second time in the Yankees' last three contests. Cody Bellinger will again shift to left field while Trent Grisham starts in center.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Belts first homer of season

Dominguez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run in Tuesday's loss to Arizona.

Dominguez wasn't able to go deep during New York's homer-filled first series of the campaign against Milwaukee, but he joined the party Tuesday with a solo blast in the third inning. The 22-year-old has started in each of the Yankees' first four games of the season (three times in left field and once at DH) and has reached base safely in three of them. • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Officially makes roster

Manager Aaron Boone announced Tuesday that Dominguez will be included on the Yankees' Opening Day roster, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports.

The 22-year-old experienced some defensive struggles in left field during spring training, but there's never been any real question about whether he would make the season-opening roster. Dominguez had a decent showing at the plate in Grapefruit League action with three homers, two steals and a .267/.302/.467 slash line in 63 plate appearances. He posted a .747 OPS in 26 MLB games across the past two seasons but is now poised to receive his first true opportunity as an everyday player at the big-league level.

  • Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Goes deep for second spring homer

Dominguez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a walk in Thursday's Grapefruit League win over the Tigers.

Dominguez put the Yankees on the board in the fourth inning, smashing a 381-foot homer to right field off Jackson Jobe. The long ball was the second of the spring for Dominguez, who is batting .229 with five RBI, seven runs, two stolen bases and 10 strikeouts over 35 at-bats. Dominguez has had some defensive troubles in left field during the exhibition slate, but the expectation remains that he'll be the Yankees' everyday left fielder upon the kickoff of the campaign.
