Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Moves to 60-day IL
The Yankees transferred Dominguez (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.
Dominguez is set to be out until the middle of next season after undergoing Tommy John surgery Sept. 20, so his move to the 60-day IL is simply procedural. His spot on the 40-man roster will be filled by Frankie Montas (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 60-day IL in a corresponding move.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Set for UCL surgery Wednesday
Dominguez will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair the torn UCL in his right elbow, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
It won't be known until the operation whether Dominguez will require Tommy John surgery, an internal brace procedure or a combination of the two. Either way, the expected recovery time is 9-to-10 months, which means the young outfielder is likely to be sidelined until around midseason of 2024.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Goes on IL
The Yankees placed Dominguez (elbow) on the 10-day injured list Monday.
The transaction is merely a formality, as Dominguez will soon undergo Tommy John surgery to address a torn UCL in his right elbow. As a position player, Dominguez will face a shorter recovery timeline from the procedure than a pitcher would, but the Yankees are still preparing for the 20-year-old to need the next 9-to-10 months to complete his rehab. Dominguez, who hit .258 with four home runs, one stolen base, seven RBI and six runs in eight games following his call-up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 1, is expected to remain out through the first half of the 2024 season.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Likely to miss first half of 2024
Dominguez is likely to miss the first half of the 2024 season after being diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The recovery from Tommy John surgery for position players isn't as long as it is for pitchers, but Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Dominguez's recovery will likely take 9-10 months. That suggests a return around the All-Star break of next season would be a best-case scenario for the young outfielder. The 20-year-old Dominguez made a great first impression in the big leagues, batting .258 with four home runs, a double, seven RBI, six runs and a steal over eight games.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Scratched with elbow inflammation
Dominguez was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Brewers due to right elbow inflammation.
It's unclear when the injury cropped up for Dominguez, who has started all eight games in center field since being called up by the Yankees on Sept. 1. The 20-year-old could be headed for medical imaging, and the organization is likely to be cautious with its top prospect amid the closing stretch of a lost season. Isiah Kiner-Falefa replaced him in center field Sunday.

Yankees' Jasson Dominguez: Diagnosed with torn UCL
Dominguez was diagnosed with a torn UCL on Sunday, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.
Dominguez's major-league career was off to a torrid start, as he hit .258 with four home runs, a double, seven RBI, six runs and a steal over eight games. He was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Brewers due to what was initially believed to be right elbow inflammation. However, he'll be forced to miss significant time after being diagnosed with a torn UCL. Manager Aaron Boone said Dominguez doesn't yet have surgery scheduled, but the typical recovery timetable from this injury is 9-10 months for a position player. However, it's possible he's back in as early as six months, which means he could be in the mix to return early in the 2024 campaign, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Dominguez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Friday's loss to Milwaukee.
Dominguez accounted for the Yankees' only runs with his two-run homer in the third inning. It was his fourth long ball through his first seven major-league games -- at 20 years old, he's the youngest MLB player since at least 1901 to achieve that feat, per Sarah Langs of MLB.com. For good measure, Dominguez added his first big-league steal to his stat line Friday. He knocked 15 home runs and stole 39 bases over 118 contests in the minors prior to his Sept. 1 call-up.
