Walker went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds. Walker was held hitless in just five of his last 27 games this season, batting .304 (31-for-102) from the start of September onward. The rookie didn't fully live up to expectations, but he performed well with a .276/.342/.445 slash line, 16 home runs, 51 RBI, 51 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 117 games. Walker's defense in right field remains a work in progress, something he'll likely focus on ahead of 2024. He should be penciled into a starting role once again next year.... See More ... See Less

Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Goes yard in win
Walker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Phillies. Walker's only hit of the day was a massive one, as he took Seranthony Dominguez deep to left in the eighth to put the Cardinals up 6-5, which was enough for the win. Walker now has four of his 16 home runs this month and has continued his solid run at the plate since the end of August. Over his last 17 games, the 21-year-old rookie is slashing .365/.408/.651 with five homers, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and a 5:12 BB:K.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Idle Saturday
Walker isn't in the Cardinals' lineup Saturday against Cincinnati. Walker will catch a day off after going 10-for-28 with three homers, five RBI and eight runs scored since Sept. 1. His absence will allow Alec Burleson to start in right field and bat sixth.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Homer binge continues
Walker went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 win over Atlanta. The rookie tagged Collin McHugh for a solo shot in the fourth inning, giving Walker homers in three straight games and four of his last five as part of a seven-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old has rebounded from an inconsistent start to his big-league career and now sports a .306/.378/.571 slash line since the beginning of August, a stretch in which he's racked up six home runs, 14 runs and 16 RBI.... Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Keeps power up Sunday
Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Pirates. Walker extended his hitting streak to six games, a span in which he's gone 12-for-21 (.571) with three homers and seven RBI. The rookie seems to be finding a groove late in the year while retaining a near-everyday role in right field. He's at a .274/.341/.453 slash line with 14 homers, 42 RBI, 37 runs scored and six stolen bases through 93 contests overall.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Remains hot Saturday
Walker went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in a loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday. Walker came up with a clutch blast for the Cardinals in the seventh inning, swatting a two-run homer that turned a one-run deficit into a one-run lead. He drew a hit-by-pitch in the ninth to get on base as the potential game-winning run, but St. Louis was unable to bring him home. Walker has been swinging a hot stick of late, collecting multiple hits three times during his current five-game hit streak. He's batting .588 (10-for-17) with two homers and six RBI over that stretch.... See More ... See Less -

Walker went 4-for-4 with a double and a three-run home run in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over San Diego. Walker got St. Louis on the board in the fourth inning, tying the game 3-3 with a three-run, 431-foot shot off Rich Hill. The rookie outfielder would log three more hits in the contest, winding up a triple shy of a cycle. Following an 0-for-8 stretch, Walker's now gone 7-for-10 with four RBI over his last three games. Overall, he's batting .267 with 12 homers, 39 RBI, 34 runs scored and a .766 OPS through 352 plate appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -

Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Up to No. 3 spot
Walker is now batting third Thursday against the Twins. Walker was originally slated to bat cleanup for the first time as a major-leaguer, but he'll move even higher in the Cardinals' batting order after Nolan Gorman (foot) had to be scratched. Walker slugged his 10th big-leaguer homer in Wednesday's win over Minnesota as part of a two-hit day.... See More ... See Less -

It's the highest lineup spot yet for the power-hitting rookie outfielder, who went 2-for-3 with a homer in Wednesday night's 7-3 win over Minnesota. Walker has registered a .769 OPS (110 OPS+) with 10 home runs and five stolen bases through his first 68 major-league games.... See More ... See Less -

Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Taking Sunday off

Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Notches ninth homer
Walker went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run in a 7-2 win against the Cubs on Thursday. Walker played a big part in a four-run fourth inning for St. Louis, belting a two-run shot to left-center off Cubs starter Marcus Stroman. The rookie is in the midst of a modest five-game hitting streak, going 7-for-21 (.333 average) with three RBI over that span. Walker has proven so far that his bat will play in the majors, slashing .282/.339/.455 with nine homers, 28 RBI and 24 runs while chipping in three steals over 227 plate appearances.... See More ... Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Launches eighth homer
Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-0 win over the White Sox. His ninth-inning shot off Tanner Banks gave Walker his second homer and third extra-base hit in the last four games. The rookie outfielder has solidified his spot in the St. Louis lineup since returning from Triple-A at the beginning of June, batting .296 (32-for-108) over his last 30 games with six of his eight home runs on the year and 14 of his 25 RBI.... Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Homers in loss
Walker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 10-9 loss to the Marlins. Walker put the Cardinals ahead with the ninth-inning blast, which came with two outs and two strikes. It ultimately postponed the inevitable, as Jordan Hicks blew the save chance. After hitting safely in 17 straight games to close out June, Walker's bat has cooled in July -- he's gone just 4-for-24 over his first six contests this month. The rookie is at a .286/.351/.452 slash line with seven homers, 24 RBI, 18 runs scored, seven doubles and three stolen bases through 47 games.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Not in lineup Wednesday
Walker is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros. This appears to be a routine night off for the red-hot rookie, who extended his hitting streak to 16 games in the Cardinals' defeat of Houston on Tuesday. Brendan Donovan, Lars Nootbaar and Dylan Carlson will start across the outfield Wednesday.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Returns to lineup
Walker (illness) is starting at designated hitter and hitting fifth in Saturday's game against the Cubs. Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Battling illness
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that Walker is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Washington due to an illness, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Marmol implied that Walker's illness is viewed as only a minor concern, so the rookie outfielder doesn't look as though he'll be at any risk of missing the Cardinals' upcoming two-game series with the Cubs in London this weekend. Walker may even be available Wednesday in a pinch-hitting capacity, though the Cardinals will be rolling out a starting outfield of Lars Nootbaar, Tommy Edman and Dylan Carlson in the series finale....
