Jackson provided 35 points (15-19 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, 13 assists and two steals across 40 minutes during Monday's 113-104 win over the Clippers. Crypto Arena briefly converted into a time machine Monday night. Although Reggie Jackson and DeAndre Jordan's uniforms were a different color, they flashed some of the old Clipper magic against their former team. The duo utilized the pick-and-roll all night against the Clippers, and the connection gave a glimpse of how the Nuggets can get it done without Nikola Jokic (back), who took a seat during the second half of a back-to-back. It was Jackson's best outing of the season by a wide margin, but with Jamal Murray's (hamstring) return fast approaching, Jackson's tenure at point guard will soon come to a close.... See More ... Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Solid outing vs. San Antonio
Jackson provided 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Sunday's 132-120 victory over the Spurs. Jackson has done an excellent job filling in as the Nuggets' starting point guard while Jamal Murray (hamstring) remains out. Instead of taking touches away from Nikola Jokic to orchestrate the offense, Jackson has adapted a complementary role next to the star big man. Jackson is averaging 13.7 points, 4.4 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers while shooting 48.2 percent from the field since being moved to a temporary starting role 10 games ago. Murray is believed to be close to a return, however, so Jackson will soon see his fantasy value take a major hit.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Available Sunday
Jackson (back) will play in Sunday's game against the Spurs, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports. Jackson carried a questionable tag into the game due to an undisclosed back injury, but he ultimately will be able to play against San Antonio. Jackson has been in the starting lineup with Jamal Murray (hamstring) sidelined and is averaging 13.0 points, 4.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds across 28.8 minutes in his nine starts this season.... Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Probable for Sunday
Jackson (back) is probable for Sunday's game against the Spurs. Jamal Murray (hamstring) remains out, but he's believed to be close to a return. Jackson has been filling in as the starting point guard, but he's coming off one of his worst games of the season with two points, four rebounds, three assists, one block and six turnovers in 25 minutes against the Rockets on Friday.... Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Posts season high in scoring in win
Jackson totaled 21 points (9-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 107-103 victory over the Pistons. Jackson led all Nuggets in scoring while finishing second in assists and ending as one of two players with 20 or more points in a winning effort. Jackson has tallied at least 20 points and five assists on two occasions this season and should continue to get plenty of opportunities with Jamal Murray (hamstring) sidelined.... See More ... Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Logs 18 points in starting role
Jackson notched 18 points (7-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one block over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 111-108 win over the Clippers. Jackson continues to be the top choice as Jamal Murray's (hamstring) fill-in. While Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was expected to be the top beneficiary in Murray's absence, Jackson has posted three solid stat lines after a poor outing in his first game as the starter. The veteran is getting assist support throughout the rotation, and the backcourt of Caldwell-Pope and Jackson look more like two off-guards playing independently, rather than one clear floor general. The scheme seems to help the Nuggets, however. The team is 3-1 without Murray in the lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Murray's best fill-in during win
Jackson posted 20 points (8-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six assists and two rebounds across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 108-105 win over the Warriors. Although Kentavious Caldwell-Pope helped out in the backcourt, Jackson took ownership of the floor general role in Jamal Murray's (hamstring) stead, and bested other options on a night where Denver's bench was very ineffective. The bench only accounted for 12 points in the victory, and the Nuggets need more support to keep the starters rested and healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Steps into starting five
Jackson is starting at point guard Monday night against the Pelicans. Jackson will get a chance to run with the first unit after news broke earlier in the day that Jamal Murray (hamstring) is expected to miss an extended period of time. Jackson appears to be the top candidate to fill in at point guard while Murray is on the mend, and he could easily log 30-plus minutes as a starter after playing 25 minutes off the bench Saturday against the Bulls.... Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Steps up in win
Jackson contributed 16 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, three assists and one block over 25 minutes during Saturday's 123-101 win over the Bulls. Jackson started the second half for the Nuggets after Jamal Murray (hamstring) was forced to leave the game. The 33-year-old has been an inconsistent scorer thus far, but he's profiled as a stabilizing presence for Denver's second unit. Even then, he's the most likely candidate to join the starters if Murray misses time.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Leads bench crew in Friday's win
Jackson logged 16 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds and six assists across 22 minutes during Friday's 108-104 victory over the Grizzlies. The 33-year-old guard was the only member of the Nuggets' second unit to score in double digits. Jackson has been a reliable source of complementary offense for over a decade now, and the last time he failed to average at least 10 points a game was back in 2012-13, his sophomore NBA season. While he didn't make much of an impact for Denver last season after joining the team for the stretch run, he appears to be a bigger part of the game plan this time around after inking a two-year, $10.25 million contract in June.... Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Back to bench
Jackson will come off the bench for Thursday's preseason game against the Clippers. Jamal Murray is back with the starters after taking the night off Tuesday against Los Angeles. Jackson is the clear favorite to win the backup point guard job behind Murray.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Gets starting nod
Jackson (rest) is in the starting five for Tuesday's preseason game versus the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Jackson will return to action Tuesday after sitting out the previous game. He will replace Jamal Murray (rest) in the starting five against Los Angeles.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Doesn't play Sunday
Jackson did not play in Sunday's preseason matchup against the Bulls. Jackson was likely held out of the game for rest purposes, as the Nuggets are trying to ease their veterans back into action ahead of the regular season. Jackson should prove to be a valuable depth piece for Denver at the guard position this season.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Pours in 14 points in reserve role
Jackson netted 14 points (5-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three assists, a rebound, a steal and a blocked shot across 17 minutes in Tuesday's 115-107 win over the Suns. With Bones Hyland, Bruce Brown and Ish Smith gone, the door is open for Jackson to assume the backup role to Jamal Murray. Jackson isn't getting any younger, and it may be his last opportunity to make a significant impact with a team. Murray's injury history is well-documented, but barring a disaster, Jackson would be lucky to see more than an average of 15 minutes on the floor this season.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Staying in Denver
The Nuggets signed Jackson to a two-year, $10.25 million contract Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Despite having a minimal role in the playoffs, Jackson was an important depth piece after signing with the Nuggets in February. The veteran point guard averaged 7.9 points, 3.1 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 19.9 minutes across 16 regular-season appearances for Denver. Jackson is set to be Jamal Murray's backup next year.... Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Rare appearance Tuesday
Jackson amassed one rebound in four minutes during Tuesday's 118-102 victory over the Suns in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Jackson played four minutes in garbage time as the Nuggets took care of the Suns to take a 3-2 series lead. Since arriving in Denver, Jackson has been unable to carve out a consistent role for himself, instead spending most of his time cheering from the sideline. Based on the sample size, there is no reason to think his role will change moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Garbage time special in win
Jackson accumulated one assist and one steal over four minutes during Sunday's 109-80 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Jackson saw the court for just four minutes as the game descended into garbage time. This was an ideal start to the series for the Nuggets, easing their way into what they are hoping will be a deep playoff run. Outside of blowouts such as this, Jackson is unlikely to feature in Denver's postseason rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Available to play
Jackson (back) will be available to play Sunday against Sacramento. Denver is resting all its starters for Sunday's regular-season finale, so Jackson could be headed for a spot start with major minutes heading his way. If you need some points, triples and dimes, he could be worth a look, just know that he's not the most efficient scorer.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Probable for Sunday
Jackson is probable for Sunday's game against the Kings due to low back pain. Jackson has been experiencing pain in his lower back, but he should be available here, with Denver likely to rest most -- if not all -- of its starting unit. The veteran floor general is averaging 7.4 points and 3.1 assists per game across 15 outings since joining the Nuggets.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Sliding to bench role Saturday
Jackson won't start Saturday's game versus the Jazz. It's worth noting that while the Jazz's regular starting five will open Saturday's festivities, the unit is only expected to play about half the game. Jackson seems unlikely to hit the 30-minute threshold he reached last time out again Saturday, but he should again see an expanded workload in this one.... See More ... See Less
