Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Flirts with triple-double in loss
Brogdon amassed 18 points (7-23 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds, 12 assists, one block and two steals over 34 minutes during Sunday's 108-102 loss to the Bucks.
Brogdon paced Portland offensively, handing out a team-high assist total while finishing second in scoring. He set a season high in assists and has recorded 10 or more dimes three times this year. Brogdon also appears to have moved past the minute restriction he was on following a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury, as he saw 34 minutes after playing just 24 and 25 minutes, respectively, during his first two games back in action.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Operating on minutes restriction
Brogdon will be on a minutes restriction for Wednesday's game versus the Jazz, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
Despite Scoot Henderson returning to action against Utah, Brogdon is expected to remain in the starting lineup. Due to Wednesday's contest being the second leg of a back-to-back, Brogdon will likely play around the 25 minutes he logged against Phoenix on Tuesday.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Full go Wednesday
Brogdon (hamstring/rest) wasn't listed on Portland's injury report for Wednesday's matchup against the Jazz.
Brogdon returned to action Tuesday following a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury and posted 19 points (6-14 FG), five assists and one rebound in 25 minutes. It was presumed the reigning Sixth Man of the Year would be sidelined or limited during the second half of a back-to-back set, but it appears he'll be full go Wednesday. If Scoot Henderson (ankle) makes his return, Brogdon may come off the bench after starting Tuesday's loss to Orlando.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Posts 19 points in return
Brogdon (hamstring) ended with 19 points (6-14 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five assists and one rebound across 25 minutes during Tuesday's 120-107 loss to the Suns.
Portland got a major piece of their roster back in Brogdon, who had missed the previous five games with a hamstring strain. He'll likely stick on the top unit as the Trail Blazers' starting point guard until rookie first-round pick Scoot Henderson (ankle) completes his reconditioning process in the G League. The team will also be without Anfernee Simons (thumb) for at least a few more weeks, so Brogdon should see an expanded opportunity in an off-ball role with the top unit or as Portland's sixth man once Henderson is back in the fold. Given that Tuesday's game marked the front end of a back-to-back set, Brogdon could be a candidate to sit Wednesday against the Jazz.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Cleared to play
Brogdon (hamstring) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's game against the Suns and will join the starting lineup.
Brogdon will be returning from a five-game absence, and there's no word of any restrictions. Skylar Mays has held down the fort admirably for the Trail Blazers in Brogdon's absence, so it will be interesting to see how the backcourt rotation shapes up.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Upgraded to questionable Tuesday
Brogdon (hamstring) is questionable to play Tuesday against Phoenix.
Brogdon is ramping up amid a five-game absence due to a left hamstring strain. Skylar Mays and Toumani Camara have been frequent additions to the starting lineup for Portland, although it's unclear who Brogdon would supplant if he slides back in as a starter upon his eventual return.

Brogdon (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game against Oklahoma City.
Brogdon is set to miss a fifth straight game due to a nagging hamstring injury. His next chance to play will come against the Suns on Tuesday. Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Remains out Wednesday
Brogdon (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Brogdon will miss a third straight game Wednesday due to a left hamstring strain. With Scoot Henderson (ankle) and Anfernee Simons (thumb) also inactive, the Trail Blazers' backcourt will be shorthanded again. Skylar Mays has excelled in an increased role recently, averaging 13.0 points and 11.0 assists per game in Brodgon's absence.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Ruled out Sunday
Brogdon (hamstring) won't play Sunday against the Lakers.
Brogdon left Wednesday's matchup against Sacramento with a left hamstring strain, and the injury will force him to miss at least one additional contest. Skylar Mays and Shaedon Sharpe should see more opportunities in the backcourt as a result, especially with Scoot Henderson (ankle) and Anfernee Simons (thumb) also sidelined.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Exits with hamstring strain
Brogdon has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Kings with a left hamstring strain, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports. He produced five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in five minutes.
Brogdon picked up a third straight start at point guard in place of Scoot Henderson (ankle) but lasted less than one quarter before going down with an injury of his own. The Trail Blazers will return to action Sunday against the Lakers, but given that hamstring injuries often entail multi-week recoveries, Brogdon could be on track to miss time. At least for the rest of Wednesday's game, Skylar Mays is expected to take on extra minutes at point guard, while wing Shaedon Sharpe could shoulder a higher-volume scoring role out of the backcourt.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Posts double-double in defeat
Brogdon closed Sunday's 112-100 loss to the Grizzlies with 18 points (6-20 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, 11 assists and one steal over 39 minutes.
Brogdon started a second consecutive game Sunday with Scoot Henderson (ankle) sidelined once again, and he posted a second straight double-double. Brogdon has scored in double figures in every appearance this season and is averaging 19.0 points, 6.1 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 31.0 minutes per game. However, he'll likely have less upside once Henderson is cleared to return.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Pours in 24 points in start
Brogdon closed Friday's 115-113 overtime win over the Grizzlies with 24 points (6-19 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 10 assists, seven rebounds and three steals in 44 minutes.
Brogdon was already a prolific contributor off the bench, but Scoot Henderson's (ankle) injury earned him his first appearance of the season in Portland's starting lineup. The veteran was on the court for the majority of the game alongside Shaedon Sharpe and Jerami Grant, and all three players were able to clear the 20-point mark while handling usage rates north of 20 percent. The Trail Blazers appear to be taking a day-to-day approach with Henderson, but it wouldn't be surprising if he missed Sunday's rematch with the Grizzlies to put Brogdon in position for another start.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Will start at point guard
Brogdon is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
Brogdon will start at point guard with Scoot Henderson (ankle) out, and he will play in the backcourt alongside Shaedon Sharpe, who has been upgraded to available due to a thumb injury. Brogdon is averaging 18.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game off the bench this season.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Big night off bench
Brogdon logged 21 points (9-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes during Monday's 99-91 victory over Toronto.
The veteran guard has looked very comfortable in his role as the leader of Portland's second unit, popping for at least 18 points in four straight games to begin the season. Brogdon has seen extra minutes since Anfernee Simons (thumb) went down in the Trail Blazers' opener, and as long as the 30-year-old can stay healthy himself, his usage should allow him to continue his productive run.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Logs another solid game
Brogdon notched 18 points (6-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes during Friday's 102-97 loss to Orlando.
With Anfernee Simons (thumb) sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks, Brogdon's fantasy stock is bound to go up. He was excellent in the season opener, and his 31 minutes during Simons' absence is a clear indicator of increased opportunity. Typically, Shaedon Sharpe would be the first man off the bench, but that role is now in Brogdon's hands. After a cloudy initial outlook, Brogdon will be a solid waiver wire target for teams in need of backcourt support.

Trail Blazers' Malcolm Brogdon: Logs team-high 20 points from bench
Brogdon closed with 20 points (8-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 123-111 loss to the Clippers.
The Trail Blazers intend to give Scoot Henderson every opportunity to succeed as the team's floor general, but Brogdon was brought in to provide support at the position, and it will be no surprise to see Brogdon and Shaedon Sharpe step in to provide some punch in the second unit. Brogdon was a direct replacement for Henderson in the first half, but they shared time on the floor in the third and fourth quarter. The usage is a good sign that the Blazers will utilize Brogdon as an off-guard option as well, which will give him more viability as a fantasy target.
