  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Out at least three weeks

The Suns announced Friday that Beal will be re-evaluated in three weeks as he recovers from a low back strain. Beal has played just three games this season while dealing with a back injury, which was originally described as soreness, but it appears the Suns are playing it cautiously to allow their star guard to fully recover from what is now being labeled as a strain. Eric Gordon and Grayson Allen are candidates to receive increased roles in Beal's ongoing absence, while Devin Booker and Kevin Durant will presumably shoulder most of the offensive load. Beal's timetable likely makes the middle of December his target to return to game action.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Doubtful for Friday

Beal (back) is doubtful to play Friday against the Jazz. Beal has been dealing with injuries all season long and has been available in only three of Phoenix's 11 contests to date. The veteran guard has scored more than 15 points just once in those three outings, so his start to the season hasn't been very encouraging, though at the same time, he's yet to get into any sort of rhythm.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Ruled out Wednesday

Beal (back) will not play in Wednesday's game against Minnesota, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Several reports on Wednesday indicated that Beal would play, and he was also carrying a probable tag prior to this update. This is very unfortunate for the Suns, as they were hoping to have their entire starting lineup available Wednesday. Beal should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Deemed probable by Vogel

Coach Frank Vogel called Beal (back soreness) probable for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. If active, Beal will be under a minutes restriction. An earlier report from Shams Charania of The Athletic indicated that Beal would suit up Wednesday, but it appears he still hasn't been cleared. While he's still considered likely to play, Vogel did note that Beal would be under a minutes restriction if he plays. Look for a concrete ruling closer to Wednesday's 9:00 ET tipoff.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Cleared to play Wednesday

Beal (back) is available for Wednesday's game against Minnesota, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Beal has continued to deal with renewed back discomfort, but he had been listed as probable heading into Wednesday. With Beal, Devin Booker (calf) and Kevin Durant all getting the green light to play Wednesday, the trio will share the court together for the first time all season. Over his first three appearances of the season, Beal has averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 28.7 minutes per game, but he's shot just 39.1 percent from the floor.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: On track for Wednesday

Beal (back) is expected to play Wednesday versus Minnesota, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. After missing Phoenix's first seven games of the season while dealing with back spasms, Beal has started each of the last three contests, logging 30-plus minutes on two occasions. On Tuesday, Beal discussed dealing with continued back discomfort and tightness throughout games, but he'll continue playing through the injury. Beal, Devin Booker (calf) and Kevin Durant all appear on track to play Wednesday, marking the first time all three will be available in the same game this season.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Still dealing with back tightness

Beal acknowledged after Sunday's 111-99 loss to the Thunder that he's still dealing with discomfort in his back, Sunday marked Beal's third appearance in a Suns uniform since making his debut on Nov. 8 in Chicago. The veteran guard finished with 15 points (6-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), eight rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes, but he committed five turnovers, and his shooting was well off the mark. Beal doesn't seem to anticipate missing any time, but the fact that he's still not 100 percent is a bit concerning for fantasy managers -- especially with the Suns playing only three games during the upcoming week. Once Devin Booker (calf) returns -- which could happen as soon as Wednesday against Minnesota -- Beal will likely settle in as Phoenix's clear No. 3 option on offense.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Available Sunday

Beal (back) is available for Sunday's game against the Thunder, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. Beal was probable for Sunday's matchup, so his availability isn't particularly surprising. Over his first two appearances of the season, he's averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 27.5 minutes per game.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Probable Sunday

Beal (back) is probable to play Sunday against Oklahoma City, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Beal continues to navigate his return from back spasms, but he logged 32 minutes in Friday's loss to the Lakers, and no setback was reported. It wouldn't be surprising to see him suit up Sunday.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Will play Friday

Beal (back) will play in Friday's game against the Lakers, according to Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet. No surprise here, as Beal was previously carrying a probable tag. According to coach Frank Vogel, Beal is expected to see a similar workload to Wednesday's game in which he played 24 minutes.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Probable for Friday

Beal (back) is probable for Friday's game against the Lakers. Probable tags after a player just returns from a lengthy injury are pretty common, so fantasy managers shouldn't be alarmed here. Beal looked rusty in his return Wednesday, finishing with 13 points on 3-of-12 shooting in 24 minutes. Expect his restrictions to be eased a bit more Friday.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Turns in solid team debut

Beal ended Wednesday's 116-115 overtime win over Chicago with 13 points (3-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block across 24 minutes. Beal made his team debut Wednesday after missing the Suns' first seven games with back injury, with his return pushing Eric Gordon to the bench. The 30-year-old guard displayed some rust but was efficient from three-point range and the free-throw line while committing just two turnovers to four assists. He'll presumably see his minutes ramp up Friday against the Lakers, when it's possible he'll be joined in the backcourt for the first time by Devin Booker (calf), who missed his third straight game Wednesday.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Will have minutes monitored

Coach Frank Vogel said Beal (back) will have his minutes monitored during Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Vogel wouldn't specify exactly how many minutes Beal will play during his season debut, but the Suns' big offseason addition will be starting Wednesday's contest. Devin Booker (calf) remains sidelined, so while he's on the court, Beal should serve as the No. 2 offensive option behind Kevin Durant.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Available Wednesday

Beal (back) will play Wednesday against the Bulls, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Beal was questionable ahead of Wednesday's matchup, but he'll be able to make his season debut in Chicago. Although Devin Booker (calf) will be unavailable Wednesday, Beal may face a minutes restriction following his absence to begin the season. Booker could be available this weekend, so the Suns are close to getting their full rotation on the court together for the first time.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Questionable for Wednesday

Beal (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Upgraded to questionable, Beal is nearing his season debut. Teammate Devin Booker (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest, but it's unclear if Beal would face a minute restriction.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Still out Sunday

Beal (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pistons, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports. Beal will miss a seventh straight game to begin the season while he recovers from low back spasms, but he seemingly took a step forward by going through a rigorous workout in pregame warmups ahead of the Suns' loss to the 76ers on Saturday, per Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic. After the Suns conclude their back-to-back set Sunday, they will have two days off before returning to action Wednesday in Chicago. If Beal is able to practice in some capacity Tuesday, he could have a chance at making his Phoenix debut against the Bulls.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Progressing, but likely out Sunday

Beal (back) went through an extensive 20-minute pregame workout Saturday, but he's unlikely to make his season debut Sunday against the Pistons, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. The Suns have yet to release an updated injury report ahead of the second leg of a back-to-back set, but Beal looks like he'll miss a seventh consecutive game to begin the 2023-24 campaign when Phoenix tips off in Detroit at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday. Though head coach Frank Vogel said that there has been "no change" in Beal's status following his pregame workout prior to Saturday's 112-100 loss to the 76ers, the 30-year-old guard at least appears to be inching toward his Suns debut. With two off days following Sunday's game, Beal could have a more realistic chance at suiting up in Wednesday's contest in Chicago if he's able to get in a practice beforehand.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Remains out Saturday

Beal (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the 76ers, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Beal has been dealing with back spasms since just before the start of the regular season and will be unavailable for a sixth consecutive game to begin the 2023-24 campaign. The Suns also play Sunday against Detroit, and it's not yet clear whether Beal will be able to make his season debut in the second half of the back-to-back set.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Out again Thursday

Beal (back) won't play in Thursday's game against the Spurs, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Beal will miss a fifth straight contest due to back spasms and currently remains without a timetable for return. On the bright side for Phoenix, Devin Booker (ankle) is listed as questionable after missing three consecutive games. Beal's next chance to play will come Saturday at Philadelphia.

  • Suns' Bradley Beal: Still sidelined Tuesday

Beal (back) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Spurs, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Beal continues to deal with back spasms and will be unavailable for a fourth consecutive game to begin the regular season. Devin Booker (ankle) is doubtful, so Eric Gordon, Grayson Allen and Jordan Goodwin should see increased run. Beal's next chance to return will be Thursday in a rematch against San Antonio.
