Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Undergoing surgery Wednesday
Adams (knee) is set to undergo surgery on his right knee Wednesday, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
Adams is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 season. The surgery will remedy instability in Adams' knee following what was initially diagnosed as a PCL strain. Memphis has limped to a 1-6 record without Adams thus far.

Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Needs knee surgery, out for season
The Grizzlies announced Sunday that Adams will undergo season-ending surgery to address instability in his right knee. He's expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Adams was diagnosed with a PCL sprain in the knee last January, and despite gaining clearance to start training camp, he didn't respond as well as hoped to non-surgical treatment and will be forced to go under the knife. The loss of Adams is a brutal blow to Memphis' frontcourt, which is also slated to be without Brandon Clarke (Achilles) for most of 2023-24. As a result, Xavier Tillman and Santi Aldama are both expected to be thrust into increased roles for the playoff-hopeful Grizzlies. It's not immediately clear which of the two players will settle into a starting role alongside Jaren Jackson, or if Memphis will go in a different direction.

This is likely just a maintenance day for the veteran, as he's coming off a knee injury from last season. The Grizzlies will give Xavier Tillman a look alongside Jaren Jackson on Friday.

Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Gets start against ATL
Adams (rest) is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Hawks.
Adams was rested in the preseason opener, but he will get the nod here in place of Xavier Tillman. Even though Tillman can produce when given the chance, Adams is likely to remain the starter once the 2023-24 season starts.

Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Ready for start of camp
Adams (knee) is healthy for the start of training camp, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
Although Adams has been trending in the right direction over the past few weeks, the Grizzlies will ease him back into action following his recovery from a sprained PCL in his right knee that he sustained in late January. Depending on his progress during training camp and the preseason, it's possible Adams faces some minutes restrictions to begin the 2023-24 regular season.

Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Getting close to full strength
Adams (knee) is doing well in rehab and should be full go for training camp, head coach Taylor Jenkins said in an interview with Steven Aschburner.
Adams suffered a sprained PCL in his right knee in late January and missed the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign. It appears his offseason rehab is going according to plan, but fantasy managers should expect Memphis to proceed with caution, meaning Adams may be subject to minute restrictions and/or rest days to start the 2023-24 campaign.
