Murray (hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. Murray has missed 11 straight games due to a right hamstring strain, but as Shams Charania of The Athletic reported earlier in the week, the point guard will have a chance to suit up Wednesday. If available, Murray would presumably be subject to a minute restriction following a lengthy absence, but more information on his workload will likely be available prior to the 9 p.m. ET tipoff.... Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Out Monday, could return soon
Murray (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Clippers but could return later in the week, Shams Charania reported on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back" program. Murray will miss an 11th straight game Monday due to a right hamstring strain, but his return to action appears imminent. Charania said the All-Star guard is considered day-to-day at this point, adding that Murray could return as soon as Wednesday's matchup versus Houston. However, the Nuggets will end Week 6 with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back set versus the Suns and Kings, respectively, so even if Murray is cleared this week, it's difficult to imagine him playing in more than two games. Murray will presumably be subject to a minute restriction following a lengthy absence, so Reggie Jackson should continue to get plenty of run over the next couple of days.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Remains out
Murray (hamstring) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Spurs. Murray will miss his 10th straight game Saturday due to a right hamstring strain. His next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with the Clippers.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Not playing Friday
Murray (hamstring) has been downgraded to out to face the Rockets on Friday. Murray was always expected to be sidelined for Friday's contest, so this is not a surprise. Hamstring injuries are extremely tricky, and the Nuggets are taking a cautious approach with one of their best players. Reggie Jackson will remain as the starting point guard, while Murray's next chance to return will come Sunday at home against the Spurs.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Out Wednesday, likely out Friday
Murray (hamstring) will not play Wednesday in Orlando and is considered doubtful for Friday's matchup in Houston, Vic Lombardi of AltitudeTV reports. As expected, Murray likely won't return to action during the Nuggets' current five-game road trip despite traveling with the team. However, he could be back in the mix Sunday, when Denver returns home to face San Antonio. Murray hasn't been cleared for full-contact drills yet but has been partaking in pregame workouts.... Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Unlikely to play on road trip
Head coach Michael Malone said Monday that he doesn't think Murray (hamstring) will be ready to play in any of the remaining three games of the Nuggets' road trip, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports. Murray is traveling with the team during the five-game trip, which started Friday in New Orleans. However, the star point guard looks like he'll remain sidelined for at least the next three contests before potentially returning when Denver plays its next home game Sunday versus San Antonio. Per Winge, Murray has been going through pregame workouts and is progressing well, but the team's medical staff hasn't cleared him for full-contact work yet. In Murray's absence, Reggie Jackson has moved into the starting lineup, but Christian Braun has also made a strong impact off the bench during recent games.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Not ruled out for road trip
Head coach Michael Malone said Thursday that Murray (hamstring) is getting closer to a return and will join the Nuggets for their five-game road trip, which begins Friday in New Orleans, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports. "I don't know if on this road trip he'll play or not," Malone said, when asked about Murray's status. Murray suffered a right hamstring strain Nov. 4, and though the Nuggets never put an official timeline on the star point guard's return to the lineup, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported last week that Murray was expected to remain sidelined through the end of the month. Though Malone is leaving the door open for Murray to potentially play during the road trip -- which runs through Nov. 24 -- it's more likely than not that the Nuggets will take a cautious approach and give him the recommend 3-to-4 weeks off for his hamstring to properly heal. At the very least, Malone's comments Thursday would seem to indicate that Murray has made progress on some level in his recovery.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Slated to miss rest of November
Murray will likely be sidelined for the rest of November due to a right hamstring strain, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. As expected, Murray will miss an extended period due to a hamstring injury he sustained during Saturday's win over the Bulls. In Murray's absence, Reggie Jackson should be Denver's starting point guard, but the offense will presumably still run through Nikola Jokic. Julian Strawther, Christian Braun and Collin Gillespie are also candidates for increased bench roles until Murray returns.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Multi-game absence expected
Murray (hamstring) could miss an extended period of time, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports. Murray exited Saturday's contest after suffering a hamstring injury, but no specifics have been announced on its severity. Coach Michael Malone said that Murray will miss a week at minimum. More details will follow in coming days.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Won't play Monday
Murray (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pelicans. Murray suffered a right hamstring strain during Sunday's matchup against the Bulls and will be forced to miss at least one game. Reggie Jackson started at point guard during the second half of Saturday's game and should see increased run Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Injures hamstring Saturday
Murray (hamstring) won't return to Saturday's game against the Bulls. He'll finish Saturday with two points (1-3 FG) and two rebounds. Murray had been a candidate to sit Saturday in the second leg of a back-to-back set, and though he ultimately suited up, his night ended after just two quarters due to a tight right hamstring. Reggie Jackson started at point guard to begin the second half and will most likely join the top unit for the Nuggets' next game Monday against the Pelicans if Murray is unable to recover from the hamstring injury in time.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Questionable to return Saturday
Murray is questionable to return Saturday against the Bulls due to a hamstring injury. Murray was probable before this game due to a quadriceps injury, and while it's not the same problem, it shows he's not 100 percent healthy. Reggie Jackson should see more minutes if Murry remains sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Playing against Bulls
Murray (quadriceps) is available and will start against the Bulls on Saturday. Murray is dealing with a contusion, but that won't stop him from playing here. The 26-year-old guard is averaging 18.7 points, 8.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 34.5 minutes across his first six appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Likely to play Saturday
Murray (quadriceps) is probable for Saturday's game versus the Bulls. Murray will receive a probable tag for the second straight game while dealing with a right quadriceps contusion. The 26-year-old guard is averaging 18.7 points, 8.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 34.5 minutes across his first six appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Double-double in win over Dallas
Murray totaled 18 points (5-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds, 13 assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Friday's 125-114 win over the Mavericks. It's the second double-double of the young season for Murray, who had only five over 65 games in 2022-23. The 26-year-old point guard has also scored at least 14 points in six straight games, and while his volume in general is down a little from the last couple years, Murray's 43.8 percent shooting from three-point range would be a career high.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Available Friday, will start
Murray (quad) is available for Friday's game against Dallas and will be part of the starting lineup, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports. Murray was carrying a probable tag due to a mild contusion on his right quadriceps, so there wasn't much concern here. Through five games, Murray is shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from beyond the arc.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Likely to play Friday
Murray is probable for Friday's game against the Mavericks despite a right quadriceps contusion. Murray hasn't appeared to have many limitations early in the year, averaging 18.8 points, 7.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 33.4 minutes per game. While he's dealing with a quad issue, he'll likely be able to play through it during Friday's matchup.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Struggles from field in loss
Murray ended Wednesday's 110-89 loss to the Timberwolves with 14 points (5-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes. Murray and Nikola Jokic were the only two players who scored in double digits in this loss, as the Nuggets looked exhausted while seeing the end of their perfect start to the campaign. Despite the loss and the efficiency issues in this particular game, Murray is enjoying a solid start to the season. He should remain Denver's second-best player behind Jokic on most nights.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Offensive maestro
Murray amassed 18 points (7-19 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, 14 assists and two blocks over 37 minutes during Monday's 110-102 victory over the Jazz. Murray fell one assist shy of matching his career high, and aside from some poor shooting, he hosted a masterclass against Utah. Even while Denver scuffled to 42.9 percent shooting from the field as a team, assists were logged on 30 of 42 buckets -- symbolizing the connectivity of the offense.... See More ... See Less -
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Pops for 22 against Grizzlies
Murray contributed 22 points (7-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, five assists and one block in 34 minutes during Friday's 108-104 victory over Memphis. The 26-year-old guard tied Nikola Jokic for the team lead in scoring on the night, and his four made threes led all shooters. Murray has kicked off his campaign with back-to-back games of 20-plus points, five-plus assists and three-plus three-pointers, but the biggest concern with him from a fantasy perspective remains his ability to stay on the court -- he hasn't played more than 65 games in a season since 2018-19....
