Forrest played the final four minutes of Tuesday's 128-105 loss to the Cavaliers and missed his only field-goal attempt. While Forrest remains on a two-way contract, his availability on the court is very restricted. Unless the Hawks call him up permanently from the G League, he will continue to make random appearances in a limited fashion.... See More ... See Less

Hawks' Trent Forrest: Hits game-winning FT
Forrest tallied 13 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three assists, two rebounds and two steals over 14 minutes in Tuesday's 108-107 win over the Cavaliers. Forrest hit the game-tying layup while fouled by Emoni Bates and hit the subsequent free throw to give the Hawks the one-point win. He signed a two-way deal with Atlanta on Sep. 12 after playing 23 NBA games with the team last season when he averaged 2.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 12.0 minutes per game. He'll look to carve out a larger role for himself during the preseason and will have his next chance Thursday against the Grizzlies.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Sticks in Atlanta with two-way deal
Atlanta re-signed Forrest on a two-way deal Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Forrest spent the 2022-23 campaign with the Hawks on a two-way deal, averaging 2.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 12.0 minutes per game across 23 NBA appearances (three starts). The undrafted point guard out of Florida State was better during limited action in the G League, averaging 16.7 points, 6.6 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 31.0 minutes per game across seven appearances (six starts). Forrest figures to handle a similar role in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Near triple-double
Forrest notched 27 points (12-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block in 32 minutes during Friday's 132-126 win over Grand Rapids. Forrest posted season highs in points and rebounds while finishing two assists shy of his first triple-double. He also recorded at least one steal and one block in the same game for just the third time this season.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Efficient outing in win
Forrest produced 23 points (11-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight assists, five rebounds and three steals in 32 minutes during Saturday's 137-116 win over Delaware. Forrest was extremely efficient en route to a season-high 23 points. He also dished out a team-high eight assists, his most since notching a season-high 12 against Motor City on Jan. 27, and recorded at least three steals for the third time over his last four appearances.... Hawks' Trent Forrest: Posts double-double in loss
Forrest managed 17 points (7-14 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 assists, six rebounds, one steal and one block in 33 minutes during Friday's 124-120 loss to Motor City. In his first G League appearance since Nov. 22, Forrest operated as College Park's primary point guard and made the most of his opportunity by recording a double-double. Across five appearances with the Skyhawks, the 24-year-old is averaging 12.4 points, 7.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 29.8 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Returns to bench Monday
Forrest is coming off the bench for Monday's contest against the Magic, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. After starting Atlanta's previous outing, Forrest will officially return to his normal reserve role. Throughout Forrest's 10 appearances off the bench this season, the Florida State product is averaging 2.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 10.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Starting Friday
Forrest will start Friday's game at Charlotte, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports. Coach Nate McMillan is switching things up, giving Forrest and Bogdan Bogdanovic starts over AJ Griffin and Jalen Johnson. In his two prior starts, Forrest averaged 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.5 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Returns to bench Wednesday
Forrest isn't in the starting five for Wednesday's matchup with the Magic, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Trae Young's return from a back injury will send Forrest back to his usual bench role. Forrest averaged 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.5 minutes across his last two games in the starting lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Starting Sunday
Forrest is starting Sunday against Chicago. Forrest came off the bench during his return to the court Friday, but he played 28 minutes in the loss to the Nets. Dejounte Murray (ankle) remains out Sunday, and Forrest will make his first start of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Gets 28 minutes in return
Forrest (concussion) scored 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 FT) and chipped in three assists, two rebounds and two steals across 28 minutes in Friday's 120-116 loss to the Nets. Even though he missed the Hawks' previous three games while in the NBA's concussion protocol, Forrest played his most minutes of the season in his return to action. The inflated playing time was out of necessity, as Atlanta was without three starters due to injury in Dejounte Murray (ankle), John Collins (ankle) and De'Andre Hunter (hip). Aaron Holiday picked up the start at shooting guard in place of Murray, but Forrest looks like he'll be a more significant beneficiary of Murray's absence than Holiday, Justin Holiday (11 minutes) and Jarrett Culver (10 minutes) will.... Hawks' Trent Forrest: Active Friday
Forrest (concussion) will play in Friday's game against the Nets, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Forrest will return to the hardwood following a three-game absence due to a head injury. Although he has appeared in just eight games this season, he may be called upon Friday considering Dejounte Murray (ankle) and De'Andre Hunter (hip) will be absent from the contest.... See More ... Hawks' Trent Forrest: Questionable Friday
Forrest (concussion) is questionable for Friday's game against the Nets, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Forrest has missed the last three games while in the league's concussion protocol but will be in the mix to return Friday. Even if he's deemed healthy enough to play, he's unlikely to see significant playing time for Atlanta.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Won't play Wednesday
Forrest (concussion) is out for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks reports. Forrest will miss his third straight game Wednesday due to being in concussion protocols. Forrest's next opportunity to play is Friday's game against the Nets.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Remains out Monday
Forrest (concussion) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Thunder, Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks reports. Forrest will miss a second straight game due to a concussion. In his absence, Aaron Holiday and Vit Krejci are candidates for backup minutes behind Trae Young, who's set to return following a one-game absence due to a shoulder injury.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Enters concussion protocol
Forrest was placed in the NBA's concussion protocol and didn't practice Sunday, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Forrest sat out Friday's win over the Nuggets while being evaluated for a possible concussion, and his entry in the protocol would seem to suggest he's been diagnosed with the head injury. Though he hasn't officially been ruled out for Monday's game against the Thunder, Forrest's absence from practice Sunday suggests he's not going to be cleared to play versus Oklahoma City.... Hawks' Trent Forrest: Snags three boards
Forrest provided four points (2-4 FG), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 15 minutes during Monday's 104-101 loss to the 76ers. Forrest has seen action in back-to-back contests after being called up from the G League, logging 13 and 15 minutes, respectively. He's made the most of his opportunities so far, totaling six points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Transferred to parent club
Atlanta transferred Forrest back from the G League on Wednesday, Brad Rowland of Locked on Hawks reports. Forrest totaled 12 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds across 34 minutes during the Skyhawks' 110-108 win over Westchester on Tuesday, but he's rejoined the NBA squad Wednesday. He's made five appearances for Atlanta, but he hasn't scored any points across 19 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Solid performance in loss
Forrest recorded 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six assists, five rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes during Sunday's 105-97 loss to Westchester. Forrest notched season highs in points, rebounds, assists and minutes played. Across three appearances, the 24-year-old has averaged 11.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.7 steals in 27.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trent Forrest: Returns to Hawks
The Hawks recalled Forrest from the College Park Skyhawks of the G League on Saturday. Forrest will be available for Saturday's game versus the Raptors.
