Giddey is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Spurs due to a sprained right ankle.
Giddey is coming off his first triple-double of the season, posting 20 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and one block in a 128-102 win over the Nets. Coby White (ankle) and Lonzo Ball (knee) have already been ruled out, so the Bulls could be especially shorthanded in the backcourt if Giddey is also shelved. That could lead to extra minutes for a variety of players, including rookie Matas Buzelis and Talen Horton-Tucker.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: First triple-double with Chicago
Giddey recorded 20 points (9-17 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 13 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and one block in 32 minutes during Monday's 128-102 win over the Nets.
Giddey struggled with his shot from range, but that's about the only area in which he floundered Monday evening. He secured his first triple-double since joining the Bulls and posted his best scoring performance since Oct. 30, when he put up 20 points versus Orlando. Monday's showing was a positive sign for the 22-year-old, who was held to a season-low four points in his previous appearance Friday against Boston.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Inefficient performance in loss
Giddey posted five points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists over 26 minutes in Wednesday's 122-106 loss to Milwaukee.
Giddey has been inefficient offensively to start the season, shooting just 40.6 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from three, but he is averaging 11.8 points, 6.4 assists, 6.2 rebounds, 0.7 blocks and 0.2 blocks across 27.2 minutes. If his shot isn't falling, Giddey will look to get his other teammates involved, and his next opportunity to bounce back will be Friday against Atlanta.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Notches third double-double
Giddey finished Monday's 122-112 win over Detroit with 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), eight rebounds and 10 assists over 29 minutes.
Giddey was somewhat efficient on the offensive end and scored in double figures for the first time in a week. He also put together his best passing performance since Nov. 7, good enough for his third double-double of the 2024-25 campaign. There should be plenty of opportunities to rack up assists for Giddey moving forward, at least while Nikola Vucevic, Zach LaVine and Coby White all continue to play at a high level.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Stuffs stat sheet Monday
Giddey recorded 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Monday's 119-113 loss to Cleveland.
Giddey recorded at least one tally in each of the five major categories and was efficient from the field. Unfortunately, he came up short of recording a double-double by just two boards and three dimes. Giddey is enjoying a strong start to the season with Chicago and is averaging 12.7 points, 8.0 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game since the beginning of November.

Giddey ended with 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Saturday's 125-113 win over Atlanta.
Giddey had a strong performance on both ends of the court, and as has been the trend with him since moving to Chicago, he's stuffing the stat sheet admirably. Giddey has scored in double digits in all but one of his appearances in 2024-25 while also posting solid numbers as a playmaker, rebounder and on-ball defender. Giddey will remain valuable in fantasy as long as he can keep racking up stats left and right, even though he shares the court with two high-usage players, Zach LaVine and Coby White, on a regular basis. Giddey's ability to stuff the stat sheet is critical for his upside.

Giddey had nine points (3-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and 13 assists across 30 minutes during Thursday's 135-119 loss to the Timberwolves.
Giddey failed to reach double digits in the scoring column for the first time this season, but he replaced the lack of firepower on offense with an excellent showing as a playmaker. Giddey is showing the outstanding stat-filling ability he had previously shown during his OKC tenure. He's recorded three double-doubles so far and has proven to be able to make a huge impact in several categories. He's re-establishing his value as a reliable fantasy contributor, particularly in category-based leagues.

Giddey posted 10 points (3-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 119-99 loss to the Mavericks.
Giddey continues to battle an ongoing illness, although he once again suited up Wednesday. He finished with a serviceable line given his health and the fact the game was a blowout. It's been a solid start to his career in Chicago and barring a change in direction, he should continue to run as the starting point guard moving forward.

He's received 30 or more minutes in three straight games and could see and expanded role with Zach LaVine (thigh) sidelined.

Giddey had a modest output in the season-opening loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday, but he played a prominent role in this win, ending just one assist away from a double-double and leading the Bulls in that category. At his best, Giddey is a player capable of racking up stats and filling out the stat sheet on a regular basis, and his numbers should trend in the right direction -- compared to the season opener -- as he gets more comfortable running the offense alongside Coby White, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.
