Holmgren finished with 21 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 35 minutes during Friday's 138-136 overtime victory over the Warriors. Holmgren scored at least 20 points for the first time in his past five games, helping the Thunder to an impressive victory. Despite his inconsistent scoring of late, Holmgren has been able to maintain second-round value, thanks primarily to his elite shot-blocking numbers. For the season, he is averaging 2.5 blocks to go with 17.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.6 three-pointers. His time is now, and it's safe to assume he is going to be a fantasy beast for many years to come.... See More ... See Less

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: All-around showing in victory
Holmgren recorded 11 points (4-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, five blocks and one steal in 30 minutes during Saturday's 126-120 win over Dallas. Holmgren did a little bit of everything to boost Oklahoma City, leading all Thunder players in rebounds and blocks while finishing with a double-double performance. Holmgren has tallied a double-double in seven games this season, now notching at least four blocks in four contests.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Modest production Thursday
Holmgren closed with 18 points (8-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two steals over 28 minutes during Thursday's 133-110 win over the Lakers. Holmgren had to deal with Anthony Davis on both ends of the court throughout the entire contest, so it's not surprising to see him having a down game -- at least by the standards he has set up following a blistering start to the campaign. Holmgren is likely feeling the rigors of the campaign and the fact that teams are now actively planning to contain him, as evidenced by his failure to reach the 20-point mark in four of his last five outings. Luckily for fantasy managers, Holmgren does other things well, so his value is not entirely tied to his scoring prowess.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Struggles from field Tuesday
Holmgren closed with 16 points (6-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 106-103 loss to Minnesota. Holmgren filled the stat sheet admirably once again and continues to show why he's already considered a top-notch two-way player despite the fact this is his first year in the league. The shooting woes are a growing pain with him, as these games are going to happen more often than not, but he keeps finding ways to produce even when his shot isn't falling. Holmgren is averaging 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.3 blocks per game over his last six contests.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Scores 16 points in rout
Holmgren ended with 16 points (6-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and two blocks over 20 minutes during Sunday's 134-91 victory over the Trail Blazers. Holmgren has had an excellent start to the season, and there are few centers oF Holmgren's size who can stretch the floor like he can. The 7-1 Gonzaga product is attempting an average of 3.6 shots beyond the arc and converting 46 percent of them, making him very difficult to defend at the perimeter. The only sour mark is his rebound production, which should be a little higher considering his imposing presence at the baseline.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Double-double against Warriors
Holmgren amassed 13 points (4-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 27 minutes during Thursday's 128-109 victory over the Warriors. It was another solid performance for the second overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, and Holmgren has four double-doubles through his first 12 pro games. The 21-year-old has scored in double digits in 11 of them while recording multiple blocks seven times, and Thursday's contest was also the first time this season he hadn't supplied at least one steal or three-pointer. Holmgren was typically going off the board in the fourth or fifth round in 12-team leagues this fall, but his production so far has out-stripped even that level of optimism for his value.... Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Solid production in win
Holmgren registered 18 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two blocks over 33 minutes during Sunday's 111-99 win over the Suns. Holmgren hasn't exploded for a monster game yet, but the rookie has been incredibly consistent. Across 10 appearances, he's averaging 16.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.3 blocks and 0.9 steals in 30.1 minutes per game. Holmgren's 55/50/90 shooting splits are eye-popping for his age (21) and size (7-foot-1), and he's been the perfect floor spacer for guys like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams.... Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Continues to swat shots
Holmgren ended Wednesday's 128-120 victory over the Cavaliers with 15 points (7-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 29 minutes. Holmgren recorded three blocks for the second straight game and is averaging 2.5 on the season. His 57.5/55.6/90.0 shooting splits have also been incredibly impressive for a rookie. If not for Victor Wembanyama, Holmgren would be an early heavy favorite for Rookie of the Year.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Records third double-double
Holmgren provided 16 points (4-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 126-117 victory over the Hawks. Holmgren is proving worthy of his 2022 No. 2 overall selection after missing his rookie season due to injury. The Thunder struggled to find an answer at center last season, and Holmgren now provides the kind of interior stability that the team needs to get to the next level.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Sets career-high scoring mark
Holmgren finished Friday's 141-139 loss to Golden State with 24 points (7-9 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes. Holmgren's 24 points are his new career high, as his perfect shooting from the line helped him boost his scoring total. Holmgren has played incredibly for a rookie, averaging 17.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in 29.2 minutes across his first six outings. The big man is also shooting a blistering 62.5 percent from the field and 56.5 percent from three.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Registers second double-double
Holmgren finished Wednesday's 110-106 loss to the Pelicans with 19 points (8-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 37 minutes. Holmgren helped the Thunder get out to a 19-point lead by chipping in seven points in the first frame. He was the second-leading scorer on the team and has shot better than 50 percent from the field in all five games this season. The rookie center will look to continue his efficient start to the year Friday against the Warriors.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Top scorer in blowout loss
Holmgren registered 19 points (7-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and four rebounds over 26 minutes during Sunday's 128-95 loss to the Nuggets. Holmgren led all Thunder players in scoring while tallying his highest point total of the young season. Holmgren has posted 10 or more points in all three of the Thunder's contests thus far, averaging 13.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 2.5 assists in 27.3 minutes per game.... See More ... Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Seven blocks, double-double in win
Holmgren registered 16 points (5-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, seven blocks and a steal over 31 minutes in Friday's 108-105 win over the Cavaliers. It was a block party for Holmgren in Cleveland, whose seven blocks were a Thunder rookie record, and he was the first player to record seven rejections or more in a regular season game for the franchise since Moses Brown on May 16, 2021. This was also the first career double-double for Holmgren, and his 31 minutes played Friday is a noticeable increase from the 25 minutes he played in the season-opening win Wednesday against the Bulls. The Thunder will host the defending-champion Nuggets in their home opener Sunday, which will present Holmgren his biggest challenge yet against two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Modest production in win
Holmgren accumulated 11 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 124-104 win over Chicago. Holmgren had a welcome-to-the-league moment when Andre Drummond's crossover sent him to the ground, but it was a smooth night otherwise. Most of Holmgren's shot attempts were flashy, so it'll be interesting to see how his offense scales in coming weeks.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Locked down for 2024-25 season
Oklahoma City exercised Holmgren's third-year contract option Saturday, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. Holmgren has yet to play a single minute in the NBA regular season following a foot injury that forced him to miss all of last year, but the team has evidently liked what they've seen from the young talent and has elected to take care of his contract for the 2024-25 season. Holmgren is set to earn $10.2 million during the 2024-25 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Will play Tuesday
Holmgren will play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Bucks, Brandon Rahbar of the Daily Thunder reports. Holmgren was rested during Sunday's preseason contest along with several other key players. Holmgren's impressive play in the preseason has seen his ADP rise in recent fantasy drafts.... See More ... Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Won't play Sunday
Holmgren (rest) is out for Sunday's preseason contest against Charlotte. Holmgren is joined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Willams and Josh Giddey as young co-stars resting Sunday. Holmgren is a candidate to suit up in Tuesday's preseason contest versus the Bucks.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Struggles from field Thursday
Holmgren posted 16 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds, a steal and three blocks across 21 minutes in Thursday's 128-125 preseason loss to the Pistons. Holmgren was excellent as a rim protector and displayed elite instincts on defense, but he struggled from the field and was poor as a rebounder, especially considering his size. Holmgren will open the season as the Thunder's starting center after missing the 2022-23 season with a severe foot injury.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Starting preseason opener
Holmgren will start Monday's preseason opener against the Spurs, Rylan Stiles of FanSided.com reports. Holmgren will start at center during his first non-Summer League NBA appearance. The 2022 No. 2 overall pick is slated to face off against the 2023 No. 1 overall pick, Victor Wembanyama, but neither youngster is expected to play more than 25 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Suiting up Wednesday
Holmgren (not injury related) will play in Wednesday's Summer League game against the Pacers, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. After showing out with 13.6 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game across three Summer League appearances, there were talks that Holmgren could be shut down for the remainder of the tournament. However, he'll suit up for at least one more contest, though it's unclear if he'll handle a full workload Wednesday.... See More ... See Less
