Wizards' Jaylen Martin: Team-high four steals off bench
Rotowire
Martin logged eight points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, four steals and three assists across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 122-103 loss to the 76ers.
Martin made his 13th appearance of the season for the Wizards and got the chance to play extended minutes, but aside from the team-high steal total, he offered limited production. A two-way player, Martin was eligible to be active for just one more game on the season heading into Wednesday, so unless the Wizards upgrade him to a standard NBA deal, he won't suit up Friday in Chicago or Sunday in Miami. Martin made 16 total appearances at the NBA level this season between Brooklyn and Washington, averaging 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 14.9 minutes per contest.
The Wizards list Martin as inactive for Wednesday's game against the Kings.
A two-way player, Martin is eligible to suit up in just two more games for the Wizards for the rest of the season, so the team will hold him out Wednesday to preserve his games count. Washington will have just nine players available Wednesday, and all those players could end up seeing minutes.

Wizards' Jaylen Martin: Fails to score in loss
Rotowire
Martin accumulated zero points (0-1 FG) and two rebounds in four minutes during Monday's 112-104 loss to the Raptors.
Martin made a rare appearance in the loss, suiting up for just the sixth time in the past nine games. Prior to that, he had been out of the rotation altogether, continuing what has been a disappointing campaign. To this point, he has appeared in just 10 games, averaging 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per contest.

Wizards' Jaylen Martin: Lands two-way deal
Rotowire
The Wizards signed Martin to a two-way contract Saturday.
Martin had previously opened the season on a two-way deal with Brooklyn, but he logged just five total minutes over three appearances at the NBA level before being waived in January. The 21-year-old wing has seen the bulk of his playing time in the G League this season, averaging 16.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers in 29.6 minutes per game over 22 appearances with the Long Island Nets and Delaware Blue Coats.

Nets' Jaylen Martin: Iffy due to illness
Rotowire
Martin is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Grizzlies due to an illness.
Martin has played a total of three minutes in two appearances this season, so his status for Monday's contest doesn't carry many fantasy implications.

Nets' Jaylen Martin: Logs 11 points in preseason debut
Rotowire
Martin recorded 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), four rebounds and an assist across 16 minutes in Tuesday's 115-106 loss to the Clippers.
Martin's future usage is unclear, as the two-way player may find his way back into the G League once the regular season is underway. He's shown flashes of production with the Long Island Nets and recorded a couple of decent performances during this year's Summer League in Las Vegas.

Nets' Jaylen Martin: Scores 12 points in Summer League
Rotowire
Marten logged 12 points (4-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, an assist and three steals across 24 minutes of Friday's 97-95 win over the Pacers in overtime.
Martin missed the final three games of the 2023-24 regular season with a sprained left ankle, but he's overcome the injury and operated as Brooklyn's sixth man Friday. The 20-year-old inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Nets in February, and although he'd been part of the Nets' roster, he has yet to make his NBA debut.

Nets' Jaylen Martin: Dealing with ankle sprain
Rotowire
Martin has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Raptors due to a left ankle sprain, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Martin presumably sprained his ankle Sunday during the Long Island Nets' loss to the Maine Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals of the G League playoffs, as he played just three minutes off the bench. He has yet to make his NBA debut, so his absence Wednesday won't impact Brooklyn's rotation.

Nets' Jaylen Martin: Inks two-way deal with Nets
Rotowire
Martin agreed to a two-way contract with the Nets on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
After going undrafted in June, the 20-year-old Martin had opened the season as one of the Knicks' three two-way players, but he never got the chance to make his NBA debut before being waived in December. He had continued to stick around in the New York organization as a member of the G League's Westchester Knicks, averaging 12.3 points (on 48.7 percent shooting from the field), 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 24.8 minutes per game over 31 appearances. The 6-foot-6 wing is projected to see most of his playing time in the G League with the Long Island Nets for the rest of the season, though he'll be eligible to appear in contests for Brooklyn at the NBA level.
