  • Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Gets light run in blowout

Tillman (knee) tallied two points (1-1 FG) and one block in three minutes Thursday in the Celtics' 129-112 win over the Bulls. Tillman made his Celtics debut Thursday after he hadn't been available since being acquired from the Grizzlies on Feb. 7 while he continued to recover from a left knee injury. He found himself outside of head coach Joe Mazzulla's rotation, however, as Tillman didn't check into the game until 2:33 remained in the fourth quarter, when the Celtics were up by 18 points. Tillman looks like he'll need at least one or two of Boston's regular rotation players to be out for a given game in order to play meaningful minutes.

  • Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Available for Thursday's game

Tillman (knee) is available for Thursday's game against Chicago, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. Tillman has been dealing with a left knee injury in recent weeks and hasn't yet been able to make his debut for the Celtics after being traded from Memphis to Boston in early February. However, he'll be able to suit up as the Celtics resume play following the All-Star break. The 25-year-old should compete with Luke Kornet for reserve center minutes now that he's healthy.

  • Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Won't play Tuesday

Tillman (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. Tillman was traded from the Grizzlies to the Celtics on Wednesday but hasn't yet been able to make his team debut due to his knee injury. It wouldn't be surprising to see him remain sidelined for Wednesday's rematch against the Nets to give him additional time to rest before the All-Star break.

  • Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Not playing Sunday

Tillman (knee) won't play against the Heat on Sunday, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. After being acquired from the Grizzlies on Wednesday, Tillman acknowledged he has no precise timeline to resume game action while he recovers from a sore left knee. The Celtics will continue to evaluate Tillman's status on a game-by-game basis, but he'll most likely sit out the team's upcoming Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back set with the Nets to heal up in advance of the All-Star break. Once healthy, Tillman could challenge Luke Kornet for a role as the Celtics' fourth option in the frontcourt behind Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford.

  • Celtics' Xavier Tillman: No timetable to return

Tillman (knee) said Friday that he doesn't have a timetable to return, John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports. Tillman was traded from the Grizzlies to the Celtics on Wednesday, but he's been dealing with a left knee injury recently. He participated in Boston's morning shootaround ahead of Friday's game against the Wizards, but his comments afterward imply that he'll be sidelined against Washington. Once Tillman is healthy, he will fight for reserve center minutes with Al Horford and Luke Kornet.

  • Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Dealt to Boston

The Grizzlies traded Tillman (knee) to the Celtics in exchange for Lamar Stevens and two future second-round draft picks Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Tillman is currently dealing with a left knee injury, but he's not expected to be sidelined for a lengthy period. The 24-year-old big man was averaging 6.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 20.6 minutes across 34 appearances in 2023-24 for Memphis. With the Celtics, Tillman will likely serve as frontcourt depth alongside Al Horford and Luke Kornet behind Kristaps Porzingis. While the deal became official Wednesday night, Tillman presumably won't be able to debut versus the Hawks, so his next chance to suit up will come Friday versus Washington.

Tillman (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Boston. Tillman contributed 10 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and three steals across 37 minutes during Monday's 103-94 loss to Sacramento. Tillman moved back into the starting lineup, turning in his best performance in almost two weeks. Since returning from a one-game absence, Tillman had been coming off the bench. A plethora of injuries allowed him to up his playing time, eclipsing 30 minutes. While there is no certainty regarding his role, Tillman is worth keeping an eye on.

Tillman is starting Monday's game against the Kings. Tillman finished Friday's 107-106 win over the Magic with five points (2-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 13 minutes. Tillman continues to play limited minutes off the bench, ending with just five points in 13 minutes. Since returning from injury, Tillman has been unable to find any rhythm on the offensive end. His defensive production is offering a small amount of upside, albeit in slightly deeper formats.

  • Grizzlies' Xavier Tillman: Good to go Monday

Tillman (knee) is cleared for Monday's game against Toronto. Tillman returns from a one-game absence due to left knee soreness. • Grizzlies' Xavier Tillman: Late addition to injury report

Tillman is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Bulls due to left knee soreness. Tillman's late addition to the injury report is a bad sign for his availability Saturday. If Tillman is ruled out, Santi Aldama will likely receive increased playing time.

  • Grizzlies' Xavier Tillman: Impresses defensively Saturday

Tillman racked up 12 points (6-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, one block and six steals in 36 minutes during Saturday's 106-94 loss to New York. Tillman made his presence felt on both ends of the court Saturday despite the loss, as he started for the third time over Memphis' last four games, but there's no question the most impressive aspect of his stat line was the six steals, a season-high mark for him and the seventh time he's registered two or more steals in a game. Tillman could move back to the bench once the Grizzlies return to full strength, and if that's the case, then his fantasy upside will be minimal outside of very deep formats. The status of Jaren Jackson (knee), who did not play Saturday, is the biggest factor when it comes to Tillman's role going forward.
