The Trail Blazers waived Bouyea from his two-way contract Wednesday, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports. Bouyea made six appearances for Portland and two for the G League's Rip City Remix this season prior to being released. Due to the Trail Blazers losing multiple guards to injuries early on, Bouyea ended up seeing more action with the parent club than anticipated, but he largely struggled at the NBA level. He averaged 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 9.5 minutes per game for Portland while shooting 23.8 percent from the field.... See More ... See Less

Heat's Jamaree Bouyea: Overcomes ankle sprain
Bouyea (ankle) started and played 28 minutes in Thursday's 91-72 win over the Bucks in the Las Vegas Summer League, scoring nine points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and adding 10 assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal. After missing the Heat's opening game in Las Vegas on Saturday versus the Celtics due to a right ankle sprain, Bouyea returned to action for Monday's 73-70 loss to Phoenix and played 29 minutes off the bench. With Nikola Jovic resting Thursday, the Heat opened up a spot in the starting five for Bouyea, who has now compiled 19 assists across his last two contests. Bouyea is already on the books for the Heat for the 2023-24 season after inking a two-way contract earlier this month.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Jamaree Bouyea: Out versus Celtics
Bouyea won't play in Saturday's Summer League against the Celtics due to a sprained right ankle, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bouyea came off the bench during his first two Summer League appearances but will miss Saturday's contest. His next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Phoenix.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Jamaree Bouyea: Inks two-way deal with Heat
The Heat signed Bouyea to a two-way contract Saturday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bouyea spent most of the 2022-23 season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League but recorded five appearances with Miami, averaging 3.0 points across 14.0 minutes per game. He will participate in the Summer League with the Heat, and the coming months will be key to determining whether he'll get a spot in the final roster. Either way, it wouldn't be surprising if he spends most of the upcoming campaign in the G League once again.... See More ... See Less -
Jamaree Bouyea: Logs 20-point double-double
Bouyea submitted 20 points (7-16 FG, 1-4 3PT, 4-5 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block in 37 minutes during Sunday's 110-105 loss to Rio Grande Valley. Bouyea was strong in the team's playoff elimination, making significant contributions in points, rebounds and assists. His efforts were reflected in the plus-minus column, where he posted a team-best positive 11.... See More ... See Less -
Jamaree Bouyea: Double-doubles in Skyforce return
Bouyea posted 19 points (6-13 FG, 0-2 3PT, 4-4 FT), 12 assists, four rebounds, four steals and three blocks in 41 minutes of Thursday's 132-114 win over the Ignite. Bouyea returned to Sioux Falls after his 10-day contract with the Wizards expired and picked up right where he left off with the team. He took back the primary facilitation role, dishing out 12 assists while also grabbing seven steals/blocks.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Jamaree Bouyea: Impresses in expanded bench role
Bouyea produced 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three assists, three steals, two rebounds and one block across 28 minutes in Monday's 112-108 loss to the Nuggets. The Heat have a long history of plucking undrafted players out of obscurity and turning them into productive rotation players, and Bouyea could be the latest example. The 23-year-old rookie out of San Francisco was signed to a 10-day deal last week and has immediately stepped into the rotation as the backup to starting point guard Gabe Vincent while Kyle Lowry (knee) has been sidelined. Bouyea can't be relied upon to get 20-plus minutes on a regular basis even if Lowry is sidelined after the All-Star break, but he should get some extra run once again Wednesday in Brooklyn while Tyler Herro (knee) and Victor Oladipo (ankle) continue to sit.... Heat's Jamaree Bouyea: Joining Miami on 10-day deal
Bouyea agreed to a 10-day contract with the Heat on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Miami could be adding Bouyea as some insurance out of the backcourt while Kyle Lowry tends to a knee issue that will keep him out for at least three games. Bouyea had been putting up some impressive numbers in the G League, but there's no guarantee he sees the floor in Miami, even though he'll dress for the shorthanded Heat in Wednesday's game against the Pacers.... Jamaree Bouyea: Absent Saturday
Bouyea (back) did not play in Saturday's 124-110 win over the Vipers. Bouyea missed his first contest of the season due to a back issue. Considering Saturday's contest was the tail end of a back-to-back set for the Skyforce, he could have been held out as a precaution. However, his status will be worth monitoring considering his integral offensive role. His next chance to play will come Monday against Iowa.... See More ... See Less -
Jamaree Bouyea: Season-worst outing
Bouyea managed seven points (3-15 FG, 1-4 3PT) eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33 minutes of Wednesday's 108-105 win over the Gold. Bouyea struggled mightily Wednesday, posting season-low outputs in points and field goal percentage. He also failed to make his typical impact as a facilitator, posting three assists compared to his season average of 5.9. Bouyea has been one of the Skyforce's best players this season and can be expected to bounce back to his season averages.... See More ... See Less -
Jamaree Bouyea: Nears quadruple-double in start
Bouyea logged 27 points (12-18 FG, 1-3 3PT, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists, eight steals and two blocks in 40 minutes of action Thursday in Sioux Falls' 127-117 win over the Mad Ants. Bouyea was inserted into the starting lineup following an incredible start to the season in a sixth-man role and did not disappoint, coming up just shy of a quadruple-double in points, rebounds, assists and steals. He was incredibly efficient Thursday, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and recording a team-high 19 plus/minus. If Bouyea continues to perform at this level, he may catch the eye of some NBA teams.... See More ... See Less -
Jamaree Bouyea: Strong showing in opener
Bouyea registered 18 points (8-9 FG, 2-2 3PT), nine rebounds, six assists and two steals across 27 minutes in Saturday's 123-105 loss to the the G League Wolves. Bouyea was incredible Saturday in a sixth-man role, logging a positive plus/minus despite the Skyforce losing the game by double digits and shooting a red-hot 88.9 percent from the field. Bouyea also managed significant contributions in other statistical categories, leading the bench in rebounds, assists and steals.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Jamaree Bouyea: Impressive fourth quarter
Bouyea compiled 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds, a steal and a block in 12 minutes in a 109-80 preseason win in Brooklyn. Bouyea did not enter the game until the fourth quarter but made the most of his opportunity in his preseason debut for the Heat. Ten of his 12 points came in the final seven minutes as he made four of his last six field-goal attempts. The 23-year-old rookie went undrafted after averaging 17.3 points in his final year at San Francisco and is on an Exhibit 10 contract. He's likely to start the regular season in the G League....
