Raptors' Gradey Dick: Out at least two weeks
Rotowire
The Raptors announced Tuesday that Dick has been diagnosed with a hyperextended right knee resulting in bone bruises, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports. Dick will return to Toronto to begin rehabbing and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
In Sunday's 104-102 win over the Magic, Dick played just 16 minutes game after being forced out of the game late in the second quarter, when he was involved in a collision with Orlando's Cole Anthony that also resulted in teammate RJ Barrett falling on Dick's leg. Though follow-up testing cleared Dick of any structural damage to his knee, he'll still miss at least two weeks, and the Raptors won't be incentivized to rush him back to the court after that while the team remains out of the mix for a playoff spot. In Dick's absence, Ja'Kobe Walter will likely move into the starting five, but Jamal Shead and A.J. Lawson are also candidates to take on increased roles in the backcourt.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Listed out for Tuesday
Rotowire
Dick (knee) will not play Tuesday against the Magic, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Dick suffered a hyperextension and a sit-bone contusion in his right knee during the second quarter of Sunday's game, and it's not a surprise that he won't be suiting up for the rematch against Orlando. An official timetable isn't known yet, but Dick's next chance to play comes Friday against Utah. Guys like Ja'Kobe Walter and Jamal Shead could see an uptick in minutes in the meantime.
Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said after Sunday's 104-102 win over the Magic that Dick suffered a hyperextension and a sit-bone contusion in his right knee during the second quarter of the game, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Dick totaled two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound in 16 minutes before checking out of the game for good with 42 seconds remaining in the second quarter, shortly after he sustained multiple injuries in a collision with the Magic's Cole Anthony that simultaneously resulted in teammate RJ Barrett falling on Dick's leg. According to Rajakovic, Dick passed all concussion testing administered after the game, but he suffered a split lip in addition to the knee injury. A timeline for Dick's return has yet to be provided, but the second-year guard seems more likely than not to sit out Tuesday's rematch with the Magic.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Flirts with double-double in loss
Rotowire
Dick scored 13 points (4-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), grabbed nine rebounds and dished one assist in 35 minutes of action during Friday's 125-115 overtime loss to the Bulls.
The sophomore wing has struggled from the field of late, shooting just 37.0 percent since the All-Star break, but has made up for it from deep, hitting threes at a 41.4 percent clip in the same span. He's also been more active on the glass than ever before in his career, logging his first double-digit rebounding performance earlier in the week before grabbing nine boards Friday as he fell just one rebound short of his first career double-double. He'll look to improve his efficiency during Sunday's outing against the Magic.

Rotowire
Dick is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Celtics due to a thigh injury, Coty Wiles of RaptorsRepublic.com reports.
The injury is a new concern for Dick, and while he appears to be on track to play Tuesday, he may be more at risk of sitting out the second leg of a back-to-back set Wednesday versus the Pacers. Dick holds averages of 11.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.2 steals in 28.5 minutes over his last 10 games.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Another solid scoring effort
Rotowire
Dick had 17 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 28 minutes during Friday's 121-109 loss to Oklahoma City.
RJ Barrett (concussion) missed a third straight game Friday, and Brandon Ingram (ankle) hasn't been cleared yet to make his Toronto debut, so Dick was needed to handle more of the scoring load once again. The second-year wing has delivered double-digit points in 13 of his last 14 appearances, a stretch in which he's averaging 13.1 points, 3.1 boards, 1.7 threes and 1.5 assists, but he'll likely be bumped to the bench and see a lower usage rate once Barrett and Ingram are in the lineup.

The 2023 first-round pick has taken his game to another level this season for the Raptors, averaging a career-high 15.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists, shooting 41.5 percent from the floor and 34.6 percent from beyond the arc.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Out with illness
Rotowire
Dick (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Dick will miss Wednesday's matchup on the road in Washington as he continues to battle an illness. With the former first-round pick sitting out a game for the seventh time this season, the Raptors will likely turn to Bruce Brown, Ochai Agbaji and Ja'Kobe Walter to help shoulder the load in the absence of the 21-year-old rising star.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Iffy due to illness
Rotowire
Dick is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards due to an illness, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
Dick wasn't included on the Raptors' initial injury report, so the illness might have been something that surfaced overnight. The second-year wing has started in each of the Raptors' first 13 games of January and is averaging 25.8 minutes per game, though he fell under 20 minutes in both of the past two contests while battling foul trouble. If he's unable to play through the illness Wednesday, more minutes would open up for the likes of Bruce Brown, Ochai Agbaji and Ja'Kobe Walter.

However, he had a total of one steal and zero blocks in that stretch.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Modest scoring effort in victory
Rotowire
Dick posted 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes during Monday's 104-101 victory over the Warriors.
While Dick has generally been one of Toronto's top scoring options in 2024-25 and got off to a hot start this season, he seems to be slowing down a bit with the team getting healthier lately. Over his last six games, the sharpshooter is averaging 9.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.2 threes in 25.2 minutes while shooting a poor 32.2 percent from the floor. Dick remains a decent source of treys in fantasy leagues, but he doesn't appear to be playing as pronounced a role as he was to begin the campaign.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Poor shooting in loss
Rotowire
Dick amassed 11 points (3-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block in 27 minutes during Monday's 128-104 loss to Milwaukee.
Dick has taken his game to another level for the Raptors this season but didn't have it going during Monday's loss to the Bucks. The second-year forward has hit a rough shooting stretch, going 5-for-23 over the last two games. Dick's usage may continue to decline, as the Raptors have Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett all healthy for the first time this season.

Raptors' Gradey Dick: Iffy for Wednesday
Rotowire
Dick (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets.
Dick remains day-to-day after missing Tuesday's game against Boston. In addition to Dick, RJ Barrett (illness) and Immanuel Quickley (illness) are questionable, while Bruce Brown is resting for the second leg of this back-to-back. Once Quickley gets his legs under him, Dick's usage could take a hit.
