Pereira managed 15 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and four steals in 23 minutes during Friday's 132-121 G League loss to the Oklahoma City Blue.
Pereira led Memphis' bench with 15 points and a plus-three point differential -- he was the only reserve with a positive mark. He also recorded a game-high four steals and committed only two fouls.

Maozinha Pereira: Let go by Memphis
The Grizzlies waived Pereira on Saturday, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
The Grizzlies waived four players Saturday, parting ways with Miles Norris, Miye Oni and Armando Bacot as well as Pereira. The Brazilian could find opportunities in the G League for the 2024-25 season and could suit up with Memphis' affiliate, the Hustle, once he clears waivers.

Grizzlies' Maozinha Pereira: Signs with Memphis
The Grizzlies signed Pereira to an Exhibit 10 contract Friday, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Pereira will have the opportunity to make the Grizzlies' roster during fall training camp after signing an Exhibit 10 pact. The 24-year-old signed two 10-day contracts with the club in the 2023-24 campaign, during which he averaged 6.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks across 17.4 minutes in seven games.

Maozinha Pereira: Deal with Memphis expires
Pereira became a free agent Tuesday after his second 10-day contract with the Grizzlies expired, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Rather than re-signing Pereira for the rest of the season, the Grizzlies have opted to fill the rookie forward's spot on the roster with wing Jack White, who inked a 10-day deal with the club Tuesday. With injuries having ravaged the Memphis roster, Pereira was able to get frequent playing time over the course of his two 10-day deals with the Grizzlies, averaging 6.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals, 0.7 three-pointers, 0.6 blocks and 0.3 assists in 17.4 minutes across seven games.

Grizzlies' Maozinha Pereira: Double-doubles in loss
Pereira provided 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 36 minutes during Saturday's 116-96 loss to Philadelphia.
Playing in just the seventh game of his career, Pereira recorded his first NBA double-double. He has now played at least 30 minutes in two straight games, making the most of his opportunities. While he is someone to consider picking up, his role is far from secure given the current state of the Grizzlies roster. Feel free to take a chance on him, but don't be surprised if he is out of the rotation at some point soon.

Due to an extensive list of injuries, the Grizzlies have been granted an additional hardship roster spot, which they will reserve for Pereira.
