  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Could see more time against Kings

Spencer chipped in seven points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and two steals over 11 minutes during Tuesday's 118-107 victory over Phoenix. Stephen Curry (illness) and Jimmy Butler (back) are unlikely to play against the Kings, and coach Steve Kerr gave Spencer some time on the floor in anticipation of a larger role against the Kings. Over three seasons with the Warriors, the perennial backup's impact has been negligible.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: All-around outing in loss

Spencer put up nine points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six assists, five rebounds and a steal across 20 minutes in Friday's 106-103 preseason loss to the Clippers. Spencer likely won't crack the Warriors' rotation to begin the regular season and will probably spend time with the team's G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. However, with injuries to De'Anthony Melton (knee) and Moses Moody (calf), there is a chance Spencer may be able to play if more injuries occur.

  • Pat Spencer: Will be unrestricted free agent

The Warriors declined to extend a qualifying offer for Spencer on Sunday, Danny Emerman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. That will make Spencer an unrestricted free agent, which will allow him to explore his options and sign with a team in need of guard depth. After playing in just six regular-season games in 2023-24, Spencer enjoyed more run with the Warriors during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 2.5 points, 1.2 assists and 1.2 rebounds over 6.4 minutes per contest across 39 regular-season games.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Sees six minutes

Spencer produced two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over six minutes during Wednesday's 121-110 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Spencer, who had his two-way deal upgraded to a one-year contract back in March, was a standout player in the G League for most of the season. He did make 39 appearances at the NBA level, however, posting averages of 2.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 6.4 minutes while shooting 40.6 percent from the field. Spencer will turn 29 in July and is set to hit restricted free agency.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Sees 11 minutes

Spencer ended Tuesday's 99-88 win over the Timberwolves in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals with four points (2-4 FG), two rebounds and two steals in 11 minutes. Spencer, who has been used sparingly all season, was pressed into backup point guard duties following an injury to Stephen Curry (hamstring). To his credit, Spencer made the most of his minutes and came up with a couple of big plays. It's possible coach Steve Kerr calls his number again with Curry expected to be sidelined through Game 4.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Ejected from Game 5

Spencer was ejected from Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. He'll finish the contest with 11 points (5-7 FG), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 14 minutes. Spencer's Game 5 ends a few minutes before the final buzzer, as he got ejected for headbutting Alperen Sengun after Sengun and Trayce Jackson-Davis exchanged words. Spencer didn't see the court in Games 3 and 4, but the lopsided nature of Wednesday's game allowed for Spencer to see some extended action.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Sees 12 minutes

Spencer recorded 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 12 minutes during Wednesday's 109-94 loss to the Rockets in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. With Jimmy Butler forced to leave this contest after eight minutes with a pelvic contusion and Brandin Podziemski battling an illness, several players including Spencer and Jonathan Kuminga were asked to step up. Spencer's role was much smaller than Kuminga's, however, and he did play the final few minutes of garbage time in this blowout as well. If Butler is able to play in Game 3, Spencer likely won't see the floor.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Recalled to NBA

Spencer produced 25 points (7-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and two steals across 33 minutes of Sunday's 118-107 G League loss to the Mexico City Capitanes. After the game, Spencer was recalled to Golden State. It's not a surprise to see Spencer dominate at the G League level, but minutes have been hard to come by in the NBA. In his last four appearances for Golden State, Spencer logged a total of 13 minutes.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Gets standard deal

Golden State converted Spencer's two-way contract to a standard deal Tuesday, NBA reporter Jake Fischer reports. Spencer has largely been outside of the rotation this season, but he appeared in 10 of the Warriors' last 12 games and averaged 3.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 7.3 minutes per game over that span. Now that he's been moved up to the 15-man roster, Spencer will be eligible to play in every game for the rest of the regular season and playoffs.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Sees increased run in win

Spencer contributed six points (2-7 FG, 2-2 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal in 13 minutes during Thursday's 105-98 victory over the Rockets. After logging just five total minutes in Golden State's previous three outings, Spencer was a key bench contributor in Thursday's win. Spencer is averaging 4.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 9.1 minutes across his last 10 appearances.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Posts full stat line

Spencer logged 13 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and four steals across 27 minutes of Wednesday's 96-85 win over the Cavaliers in Summer League. Spencer tied for the team high in assists Wednesday while committing only one turnover. He was also active defensively, logging four steals. The 28-year-old will be on a two-way contract this season for Golden State but will likely spend most of his time with the team's G League affiliate.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Still looking for shot

Spencer notched 15 points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 22 minutes of Sunday's 127-104 loss to Mexico City. Spencer has been pretty cold since signing his two-way contract with Golden State. Over his last four appearances, Spencer has shot a combined 5-of-25 from three-point range.

  • Warriors' Pat Spencer: Gets two-way deal from Golden State

Spencer agreed Wednesday with the Warriors on a two-way contract, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. He'll join Jerome Robinson and Usman Garuba as two-way players for Golden State, stepping in as a replacement for Lester Quinones, who was upgraded to a standard NBA contract. Spencer, 27, has been a member of the Warriors' G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, for both of the past two seasons. The combo guard is averaging 12.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.4 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 23.2 minutes per game over 27 appearances for Santa Cruz in 2023-24 while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 42.7 percent from three-point range.

  • Pat Spencer: Done for season

Spencer will miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season after suffering a fractured wrist Jan. 27 versus South Bay, Santa Cruz Warriors sideline reporter Zena Keita reports. Spencer appeared in just four regular-season contests for Santa Cruz before suffering the season-ending injury, averaging 7.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals over 21.8 minutes. He will now shift his focus toward getting healthy ahead of 2023-24.

  • Pat Spencer: Back in action

Spencer (illness) added eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists and one steal during Friday's win over Mexico City. This was just Spencer's second appearance since returning to the lineup from an illness that kept him out for two full months. Spencer is averaging 11.7 points this season with Santa Cruz.

  • Pat Spencer: Remains out Friday

Spencer (illness) didn't play in Friday's overtime loss to Stockton. Spencer continues to be hampered by an illness. The guard hasn't appeared in a contest since Nov. 12.

  • Pat Spencer: First double-double of season

Spencer tallied 14 points (6-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds and six assists during Wednesday's loss to the Blue. Spencer posted a superb all-around outing in 27 minutes, as the guard recorded his first double-double of the year while dishing out a new season high in assists. Spencer is averaging 16.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists across three G League matchups.
