The Thunder recalled Pokusevski from the G League's Oklahoma City Blue on Tuesday, Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic reports. Pokusevski will rejoin the Thunder after being sent to the G League earlier in the day to presumably practice. Tre Mann and Ousmane Dieng will be recalled alongside Pokusevski in advance of Wednesday's game against Chicago.... See More ... See Less

Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Logs five minutes in blowout
Pokusevski finished with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across five minutes during Tuesday's 123-87 victory over the Spurs. Pokusevski re-entered the rotation Tuesday, playing five minutes of garbage time. Often viewed as a speculative per-minute asset, Pokusevski now finds himself in a tough spot, surrounded by a team looking to push for wins as opposed to draft picks. In a nutshell, he can be ignored in just about every format.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Off injury report
Pokusevski (ankle) has no injury designation for Wednesday's regular-season opener against Houston. Pokusevski's recovery was ahead of schedule as of Oct. 18, and it appears that the 21-year-old will be active for the start of the regular season. He'll likely be ramped up with extreme caution, but Pokusevski could cut into minutes for Ousmane Dieng when fully healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Ahead of schedule
Coach Mark Daigneault said Wednesday that Pokusevski's (ankle) rehab is "accelerating better than we thought," Rylan Stiles of FanSided.com reports. Pokusevski sprained his right ankle during an offseason workout in September and was slated to be re-evaluated in six weeks. While his rehab appears to be going well, the fourth-year forward will likely still miss the start of the regular season. When healthy, he'll presumably be outside of the rotation now that Chet Holmgren is back in the picture, but Pokusevski could quickly carve out a reserve role if the Thunder's frontcourt suffers an injury or two. Pokusevski has averaged at least 20 minutes per game in each of his first three NBA seasons.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Sustains right ankle sprain
Pokusevski (arm) sustained a right ankle sprain during an offseason workout Tuesday and will be re-evaluated in six weeks, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports. Pokusevski suffered a small right humerus fracture at the beginning of June and was unable to play for the Serbian national team in the FIBA World Cup as a result. Although he was evidently cleared to resume working out, he's now dealing with an ankle issue that will force him to miss several weeks and could sideline him for the start of the regular season. Pokusevski has had a relatively consistent role over his first three seasons with the Thunder, averaging 8.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 21.7 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Won't play in World Cup
Pokusevski (arm) hasn't received medical permission to train until August, ruling him out for the FIBA World Cup, Eurohoops.net reports. Pokusevski hoped to make his debut for the Serbia national team but is still recovering from a small right humerus fracture. He's still expected to be ready for Oklahoma City's training camp at the end of September, but he may be limited at first.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Suffers right arm fracture
Pokusevski suffered a small right humerus fracture May 31 and will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks, Clemente Almanza of the Thunder Wire reports. Pokusevski has had some tough injury luck lately, as he missed over half of his third NBA season with a total of 34 games played. Fortunately, he still has a lot of time to recover in advance of training camp with the Thunder. With an improved three-point shot and a knack for blocking shots, Pokusevski has the potential to play a big role for the Thunder.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Remains sidelined Friday
Pokusevski (knee) is out for Friday's Play-In Game versus the Timberwolves. Pokusevski will miss his fifth straight game Friday due to a left knee contusion. His absence shouldn't affect the Thunder's rotation. If Oklahoma City beats Minnesota, Pokusevski's next chance to suit up will be Sunday's matchup with Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Won't play Wednesday
Pokusevski (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Play-In Game versus New Orleans. Pokusevski has made just three appearances since Dec. 27 due to lower leg and knee injuries, so it's unsurprising that he won't be available Wednesday. His continued absence won't significantly impact Oklahoma City's rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Won't play Sunday
Pokusevski (knee) is out Sunday against the Grizzlies. Pokusevski joins a myriad of his teammates on the sidelines for the regular-season finale. It's unlikely he will play a significant role during the Play-In Tournament or playoffs.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Won't play Thursday
Pokusevski (knee) is out for Thursday's game versus the Jazz. Pokusevski will miss his second straight game due to a left knee contusion. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Memphis.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Late addition to injury report
Pokusevski is out for Tuesday's game versus the Warriors due to a left knee contusion. Pokusevski has averaged just 8.0 minutes across his last three appearances, so his absence is unlikely to affect the Thunder's rotation. His next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Utah.... Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Unlikely to see playing time
Pokusevski is available for Friday's game versus the Lakers but likely won't play, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. Pokusevski hasn't played since Dec. 27, so the Thunder are likely trying to slowly incorporate him back into the lineup. However, the 20-year-old forward should be featured in the rotation soon.... Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Officially available Friday
Pokusevski (lower leg) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game against the Lakers. Pokusevski was recalled from the G League's Oklahoma City Blue earlier Friday and will officially be able to suit up for the parent club's matchup against the Lakers. He hasn't taken the court for the Thunder since Dec. 27, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him face a minutes restriction Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Recalled by parent club
Pokusevski was recalled from the G League's Oklahoma City Blue on Friday, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports. Pokusevski had been sidelined since late December with a non-displaced left tibial fracture, but he was assigned to the G League on March 6 and appeared in Wednesday's loss to Ontario. It's certainly possible he'll be able to suit up for the Thunder's game against the Lakers on Friday, but assuming he's available, it wouldn't be surprising to see his playing time monitored.... Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Makes G League appearance
Pokusevski (lower leg) played 15 minutes Wednesday for the G League's Oklahoma City Blue in a 114-105 loss to the Ontario Clippers, scoring zero points (0-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists and two blocks. Though efficiency has never been Pokusevski's forte since he entered the league in 2020, the 0-for-7 performance from the field still showed that he needs time to shake off rust after having missed the past two and a half months while recovering from a non-displaced left tibial plateau fracture. Pokusevski still managed to fill up the stat sheet in other areas, but the Thunder will most likely have him stick around in the G League for at least one more game to pick up more minutes. The 21-year-old could have a place in the NBA club's frontcourt rotation once he gets fully ramped up, but he's unlikely to handle a consistent enough role to warrant much attention outside of the deepest of fantasy leagues.... Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Moves rehab to G League
The Thunder assigned Pokusevski (lower leg) to the G League's Oklahoma City Blue on Monday, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. Pokusevski, who has been sidelined since late December with a non-displaced left tibial fracture, is scheduled to practice with the Blue, but he remains without a clear timeline to return to game action. Expect the third-year big man to remain sidelined for the entirety of the Thunder's four-game slate during the upcoming wek.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Remains sidelined Wednesday
Pokusevski (lower leg) is out for Wednesday's game versus the Lakers. Pokusevski will miss his 28th straight game Wednesday due to a non-displaced fracture in his left tibial plateau. On Sunday, Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault told Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman that the 20-year-old big man remains on a return-to-play plan but has "no date to return." Given that no reports have surfaced indicating that Pokusevski has resumed full-court, full-contact practice, he appears safe to rule out through the Thunder's remaining two games this week, back-to-back matchups with the Jazz on Friday and Sunday.... Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Resumes on-court work
Pokusevski (lower leg) was spotted on the court Monday doing some light shooting, Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic reports. The Thunder haven't provided a clear update regarding where exactly Pokusevski stands in his recovery from the non-displaced left tibial plateau fracture he suffered Dec. 27, but the fact that he didn't appear to be sporting any sort of cast or brace on his lower leg Monday suggests that he's made good progress in his recovery from the injury. Until the 21-year-old is able to resume practicing in some capacity, however, he'll remain without a clear timeline to return to game action. Expect Pokusevski's absence to extend into March, barring him taking any dramatic steps forward in his recovery program coming out of the All-Star break.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Aleksej Pokusevski: Will miss at least six weeks
Pokusevski sustained a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg Tuesday's game against the Thunder and will be re-evaluated in six to eight weeks, Nick Crain of Forbes.com reports. Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said Pokusevski's injury isn't "long-long term," so he will likely return before the end of the season. Darius Bazley, Mike Muscala and Jaylin Williams are candidates to see extended minutes in his absence.... See More ... See Less
