76ers' KJ Martin: Without timetable for return
Martin (foot), who has already been ruled out for Tuesday's contest against the Thunder, has resumed on-court work, but there's no clear timetable for his return to game action, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Martin has been sidelined since Dec. 23 due to a stress reaction in his left foot. The forward is out of his walking boot, though the 76ers seem to be considering him week-to-week rather than day-to-day at this stage. Martin has received a sizable role this season, and over his last 10 appearances (six starts), he has averaged 9.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per contest.

76ers' KJ Martin: Still out against Thunder
Martin (foot) remains out for Tuesday's game against the Thunder, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Martin has been on the shelf since Dec. 23 due to a stress reaction in his left foot, and he's not ready to return to the 76ers on Tuesday despite shedding his walking boot Thursday. His absence against Oklahoma City should continue to allow Eric Gordon and Ricky Council to maintain stable spots in Philadelphia's rotation off the bench.

76ers' KJ Martin: Sheds walking boot
Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse said Thursday that Martin (foot) is out of his walking boot but has yet to resume on-court work, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Martin has been sidelined since Dec. 23 due to a stress reaction in his left foot, and since he's not yet practicing, his absence looks as though it'll extend into mid-January, if not later. Before getting hurt, Martin had been part of the top unit in each of his last four appearances, but Caleb Martin has since settled in as the 76ers' starting power forward.

76ers' KJ Martin: Out with stress reaction in foot
Martin will be re-evaluated in two weeks due to a stress reaction in his left foot, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
This is a tough blow for Martin, as he had a solid showing in December with averages of 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 24.7 minutes per game. Guerschon Yabusele and Caleb Martin could see an uptick in minutes during the short term.

76ers' KJ Martin: Leaves early with sore foot
Martin will not return to Monday's matchup against the Spurs due to left foot soreness, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. He'll finish the game with four points (2-7 FG, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal across 20 minutes.
Martin didn't start the second half and was eventually ruled out due to foot soreness. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against Boston.

76ers' KJ Martin: Starting Monday vs. Charlotte
Martin is in the 76ers' starting lineup for Monday's game against the Hornets, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Martin will make his fourth start of the regular season Monday and his third of December. He has scored at least 11 points in four of his last six games, and over that span he has averaged 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 25.3 minutes per game.

76ers' KJ Martin: Pops for season-high 20 off bench
Martin produced 20 points (9-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 32 minutes off the bench during Friday's 102-94 victory over the Magic.
The fifth-year forward returned to the second unit after starting the prior two games, but Martin actually saw his biggest workload of the season Friday and responded with a new season scoring high. Over six games since moving into a more prominent role in the Sixers' frontcourt rotation, Martin is averaging 11.8 points, 3.5 boards, 1.7 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 steals in 26.3 minutes a contest while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor and 92.3 percent from the charity stripe. Joel Embiid (knee) is ramping up his activity level but still lacks a firm return date, so Martin's court time is likely safe in the short term.

76ers' KJ Martin: Not starting Friday
Martin will come off the bench in Friday's game against the Magic, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.
The club will opt to start Guerschon Yabusele and Andre Drummond ahead of Martin in the frontcourt Friday. The 23-year-old started in the club's last two outings, during which he averaged 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 25.5 minutes per game.

76ers' KJ Martin: Nears double-digit points in first start
Martin logged nine points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 110-104 victory over Charlotte.
Martin got his first starting nod of the season Tuesday, ending one point short of the double-digit mark in limited time in the start five. Martin has seen his production and playing time improve over the last few outings, scoring at least eight points in three straight contests.

76ers' KJ Martin: Starting vs. Charlotte
Martin is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Hornets.
Martin will start for the first time in 2024-25 after experiencing an uptick in playing time of late. He logged at least 22 minutes in each of Philadelphia's last three games, and he recorded a season-high 19 points in the win over the Pistons on Saturday.

76ers' KJ Martin: Dropped from rotation
Martin (coach's decision) didn't see the court Sunday in the 76ers' 107-105 overtime victory over the Hornets.
For the first time all season, Martin failed to get off the bench while head coach Nick Nurse reopened a spot in the rotation for Eric Gordon, who didn't play in a coach's decision in the 76ers' last game Friday against the Lakers. Martin's removal from the rotation came after the fifth-year forward had averaged 5.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, 0.6 assists and 0.4 steals in 17.5 minutes over Philadelphia's first eight contests of the season.

76ers' KJ Martin: Retreats to bench
Martin will slide to the bench for Friday's game versus the Raptors, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
Caleb Martin will get the start in place of Martin at power forward. The 23-year-old posted three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 FT) and five rebounds across only 15 minutes in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Bucks.

76ers' KJ Martin: Scores 12 points Wednesday
Martin posted 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and a steal across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 117-95 preseason win over the Nets.
Martin got the start in this preseason contest with Paul George (knee) sidelined, and it wouldn't be surprising if he gets the start in the regular-season opener against the Bucks on Oct. 23 if George isn't 100 percent ready to return. Martin played a career-low 12.4 minutes per game in 2023-24 while seeing time with the Clippers and 76ers across 60 regular-season appearances, and if he starts in the regular-season opener, he'd likely play a minimal role in the offensive scheme.

76ers' KJ Martin: Back in starting five
Martin will start Wednesday's preseason game against the Nets, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.
Martin will step in for Paul George (knee) in the first unit for Wednesday's penultimate preseason contest. Martin dropped 11 points in 22 minutes off the bench last time out.

76ers' KJ Martin: Returns to reserve role
Martin won't start Monday's preseason game against the Hawks.
Martin drew a spot start during the second night of a back-to-back set and scored nine points (4-7 FG) in 28 minutes. He's expected to handle a minor reserve role during the regular season.

76ers' KJ Martin: Passive performance Saturday
Martin compiled nine points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3PT, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Saturday's 139-89 preseason loss to the Celtics.
Martin moved into the starting lineup, but much like his teammates, offered very little in terms of tangible production relative to playing time. Despite signing a two-year deal in July, Martin's role on this team is uncertain, to say the least. He is an athletic wing who, in theory, should be able to compete at the NBA level. However, given what we have seen to this point in his career, he could struggle to play meaningful minutes again this season.

76ers' KJ Martin: Gets start vs. Boston
Martin is in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason contest against the Celtics.
The Sixers are resting most of their starters and veterans for this game, so Martin will be part of a relatively young first unit. Martin will start this contest next to Jared McCain, Jeff Dowtin, Ricky Council IV and Guerschon Yabusele in the first unit.

76ers' KJ Martin: Signs two-year deal with Philly
Martin signed a two-year, $16 million extension with the 76ers on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Martin will boost the team's bench depth due to his positional versatility. However, he's not expected to be a major factor in most fantasy formats. He averaged just 3.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game across 60 regular-season appearances (two starts) in 2023-24.

76ers' KJ Martin: Available for Wednesday
Martin (toe) is available for Wednesday's Play-In Game against the Heat.
Martin will return from a three-game absence and will likely be working with minutes in the teens. He's not the most attractive fantasy option.
