  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Drops 22 in loss to Sixers

Suggs amassed 22 points (8-19 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, three assists and three steals over 33 minutes during Friday's 102-94 loss to the 76ers. The fourth-year point guard continues to provide consistent production for the Magic. Suggs has scored 12 or more points in six straight games since sitting out a Nov. 25 contest against the Hornets due to a minor hamstring issue, averaging 18.0 points, 5.0 assists, 2.5 boards, 2.5 threes and 1.8 steals over that stretch. He's been especially busy of late on the defensive end, beginning the month of December by recording multiple steals in four straight games.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Big two-way impact Wednesday

Suggs closed Wednesday's 106-102 victory over the 76ers with 17 points (6-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, six assists and three steals in 37 minutes. It was another outstanding performance particularly on defense for Suggs, who piled up three more steals and helped contain Tyrese Maxey, who went just 7-for-19 from the floor and 0-for-7 from downtown for Philadelphia. Over his past five contests, Suggs is averaging 17.2 points, 5.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 2.2 three-pointers in 32.5 minutes per game. The 23-year-old has taken on a larger role as Orlando's starting point guard with Cole Anthony starting to get phased out of head coach Jamahl Mosley's rotation and Markelle Fultz out of the picture altogether, and Suggs should continue absorbing additional ball-handling duties for however long star forward Paolo Banchero (oblique) remains sidelined.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Scores 14 points Tuesday

Suggs closed with 14 points (5-16 FG, 0-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 121-106 loss to the Knicks. Suggs had a rough shooting performance and finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored, which was particularly problematic given the team-wide struggles the Magic evidenced in this 15-point loss. Suggs has failed to crack the 15-point mark in four of his last five appearances, a span in which he's averaged 14.2 points per game while shooting 41.7 percent from the field while the Magic have gone 4-1. The Magic have been performing above expectations this season, but an uptick in Suggs' scoring numbers could make the team even more dangerous on the offensive end of the court.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Scores career-high 31 points

Suggs had 31 points (10-18 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and seven assists across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 133-119 victory over the Bulls. Suggs came through for the Magic in a game where the team needed him the most, and the 23-year-old guard responded by delivering the best scoring output of his career. Suggs has surpassed the 20-point plateau in just five games this season, so fantasy managers would like to see him score more consistently, especially since Paolo Banchero (oblique) remains sidelined. Still, Suggs is averaging 15.1 points per game in 14 appearances since the beginning of November.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Not on initial injury report again

Suggs (hamstring) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. Suggs played only nine minutes during Saturday's win over the Pistons, posting two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one assist and one block, before injuring his left hamstring. He was initially left off the injury report for Monday's game against the Hornets but was a late addition and ultimately missed his first game of the season. Given what happened Monday, Suggs may not be fully clear yet, but for now, it appears he'll return to game action after a minimal absence.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Won't play Monday

Suggs (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hornets. Suggs will miss his first game of the 2024-25 regular season Monday due to a left hamstring injury he suffered against the Pistons on Saturday. His next opportunity to play will be Wednesday against the Bulls. Gary Harris will take Suggs' place in the starting lineup Monday, while Anthony Black and Cole Anthony should see increased minutes off the bench.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Iffy for Monday

Suggs (hamstring) is questionable for Monday's game against the Hornets. Suggs wasn't on Orlando's initial injury report, and that's a surprise considering he was limited to nine minutes Saturday against the Pistons after picking up a strain. If he's unable to play Monday, Anthony Black and Cole Anthony could be more involved for the Magic.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Not on injury report for Monday

Suggs (hamstring) isn't listed on the injury report for Monday's game against the Hornets. Suggs played only nine minutes during Saturday's win over the Pistons, posting two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one assist and one block, before injuring his left hamstring. He was quickly ruled doubtful and never returned to the contest, so it's surprising the point guard will seemingly be available to play Monday. Before Sunday's game, Suggs averaged 15.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks in 30.5 minutes per game over his first 17 appearances.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Leaves early with hamstring injury

Suggs (hamstring) did not return to Saturday's 111-100 win over the Pistons and finished with two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one assist and one block over nine minutes. Suggs injured his left hamstring in the first half of Saturday's game. He returned to the bench for the second half, but he did not check back into the contest, as Anthony Black opened the third quarter with the starters in his stead. The Magic play their next game Monday against the Hornets, and given that hamstring injuries often keep players sidelined for multiple contests, Suggs could face an uphill battle to gain clearance to play in Charlotte.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Doubtful to return Saturday

Suggs is doubtful to return to Saturday's game against the Pistons due to a sore left hamstring, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports. Suggs tweaked his left hamstring in the first half of Saturday's game, and it doesn't appear he will return to the court. Anthony Black, Cole Anthony and Gary Harris should see increased minutes off the Magic bench due to Suggs' injury.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Drops 23 points in victory

Suggs racked up 23 points (7-18 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals across 40 minutes during Thursday's 119-118 victory over the Lakers. Suggs' total could have been higher with better accuracy beyond the arc, where he recorded his highest shot volume of the season. His scoring totals have been exemplary over the last three games. He's averaged 35.3 minutes and 23.0 points over that span.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Scores 19 points Friday

Suggs amassed 19 points (6-16 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 34 minutes during Friday's 98-86 win over Philadelphia. Suggs struggled from three-point range Friday, but he still managed to finish as the Magic's second-leading scorer behind Franz Wagner (31). Suggs has been less efficient from the field over his last five outings, during which he has averaged 11.2 points on just 32.3 percent shooting (including 22.2 percent from three on 7.2 3PA/G). He'll look to get back on track against the Suns on Monday.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Briefly exits game Tuesday

Suggs exited Tuesday's game against Charlotte following a collision with 8:46 remaining in the second quarter, though he has since returned, Cody Taylor of USA Today reports. Suggs was slow to get up after the collision, but he returned to the game in the second quarter after being checked out by medical staff on the bench. The 23-year-old will likely remain available the rest of the way, though his status is something to monitor moving forward.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Held to five points

Suggs racked up five points (2-8 FG, 1-6 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 18 minutes during Sunday's 121-94 victory over the Wizards. Suggs was held to single-digit points for the second game in a row, and his minutes were reduced with Cole Anthony having the hot hand off the bench. Despite a couple of duds on the offensive side of the ball, Suggs has had a strong campaign overall through 11 games with averages of 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 blocks, 1.5 steals and 2.1 three-pointers.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: All-around showing in defeat

Suggs finished Friday's 120-109 loss to Cleveland with 28 points (10-20 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, one block and three steals over 37 minutes. Suggs did a little bit of everything Friday for Orlando, leading all players in the contest in scoring, assists and steals while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total in a well-rounded performance. Suggs, who set a new season high in scoring and rebounds, has gotten off to a hot start to the 2024-25 campaign while posting at least 20 points, five rebounds and three assists in three contests.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Big all-around effort in loss

Suggs totaled 17 points (7-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and four steals over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 102-99 loss to Chicago. The fourth-year point guard made an impact at both ends of the court as he continues his hot start to the season. Suggs is averaging 16.8 points, 5.0 boards, 3.8 assists, 3.4 threes, 2.2 steals and 1.0 blocks through the first five games of the campaign, numbers which would represent career highs nearly across the board if he's able to maintain something even close to that pace.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Chips in 25 points vs. Indiana

Suggs accumulated 25 points (8-17 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Monday's 119-115 win over the Pacers. Suggs' 25 points and seven assists Monday were second on the Magic behind Paolo Banchero's career night (50 points and nine assists). After going 3-for-5 from three over the first two games of season, Suggs has gone 11-for-24 from deep over his last two outings and appears to have been given the green light from three-point range. Suggs and the 3-1 Magic will hit the road to take on the Bulls on Wednesday.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Solid two-way play in loss

Suggs amassed 21 points (6-17 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block across 31 minutes during Saturday's 124-111 loss to the Grizzlies. Suggs posted the second-highest scoring mark on the Magic behind Franz Wagner (23) while racking up a game-high four steals. Suggs was more involved in the offensive scheme compared to the first two regular-season games, likely due to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope shooting 1-for-6 from the field and Paolo Banchero shooting 4-for-12. Suggs is expected to continue receiving meaningful minutes in the starting five, and he has seen a gradual uptick in playing time since the regular-season opener.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Strong two-way performance

Suggs totaled 12 points (3-8 FG, 0-4 3PT, 6-7 FT), seven assists, four rebounds, four steals and one block in 24 minutes during Friday's preseason win over the 76ers. Suggs was a pest on the defensive end, tallying five combined steals and blocks. Slated as the starting point guard, Suggs is primed for a potential breakout after finally delivering a productive campaign during the 2023-24 season. Although he may not be a prototypical point guard, his assist and steal numbers should be enough to keep him afloat, making him a viable target in the ninth or tenth rounds of drafts.

  • Magic's Jalen Suggs: Won't see heavy minutes

Suggs is "expected to play around 16 minutes" in Wednesday's preseason duel versus San Antonio, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Suggs will operate on a limited workload alongside Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero. Each player is expected to see approximately 16-to-20 minutes of action Wednesday, per coach Jamahl Mosely.
