  • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Won't start Friday

Jones will come off the bench during Friday's game against the Hornets, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports. The rookie first-round pick will return to the second unit after starting and playing 36 minutes in the Thunder's most recent game Wednesday, a 33-point win over the 76ers. Oklahoma City is getting multiple key rotation players back for Friday's contest, so Jones shouldn't be in line for extend playing time off the bench. The rookie first-round pick already logged 35 minutes earlier in the day in the G League Oklahoma City Blue's loss to the Stockton Kings.

  • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Returns to parent club

The Thunder recalled Jones from the G League's Oklahoma City Blue on Friday, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports. Jones tallied 13 points (5-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one block across 35 minutes in the Blue's 105-104 overtime loss to the Stockton Kings earlier Friday. He'll rejoin the Thunder ahead of their game Friday versus the Hornets and should be available off the bench, despite playing earlier in the day in the G League.

  • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Posts solid line

Jones closed with 11 points (3-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 133-100 win over the 76ers. The Thunder rested multiple players Wednesday, allowing Jones to make his first career start. Oklahoma City has run away with the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, so this likely won't be Jones' last big opportunity to see extended minutes. However, fantasy managers will probably want to look elsewhere for value when the Thunder are at full strength.

Jones is in the Thunder's starting lineup against the 76ers on Wednesday, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports. Jones has seen sparse playing time, but he'll make his first career NBA start Wednesday due to the Thunder being short-handed with injuries. He has appeared in 41 games this season, averaging 2.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 8.9 minutes per game.

  • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Back with parent club

The Thunder recalled Jones from the G League's Oklahoma City Blue on Saturday. Jones will be available for Saturday's game against the Pistons and will likely be in line for only light minutes, if he's even included in the rotation at all. The rookie first-round pick has made 39 appearances for the Thunder this season, averaging 9.1 minutes per contest.

  • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Logs 25 minutes Friday

Jones recorded six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 25 minutes in Friday's 107-89 win over the Trail Blazers. Jones made his return to the Thunder after he suited up for the G League's Oklahoma City Blue in Wednesday's 117-102 win over the Salt Lake City Stars. With the Thunder holding out eight players due to rest or injury Friday, Jones received a rare opportunity to play extended minutes at the NBA level. The Thunder should get multiple key players back for Sunday's matchup with the Nuggets, so it wouldn't be surprising if Jones dropped back out of the rotation for that contest.

Jones ended Wednesday's 109-99 victory over Portland with zero points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists over 11 minutes. Jones missed all three of his shot attempts, continuing his mediocre start to the season. While the rookie has taken the floor in all but one game this season, his role is typically based on the play of others. He is averaging 2.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in just 8.4 minutes per game, numbers typically associated with a depth piece and nothing more.

Jones was recalled from the G League's Oklahoma City Blue on Tuesday, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports. • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Solid all-around outing Monday

Jones logged 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists across 26 minutes during Monday's 112-107 preseason win over the Spurs. Jones recorded the third-highest scoring mark on the Thunder behind Ajay Mitchell (19) and Jalen Williams (18).
