  • D'Moi Hodge: Cut by Lakers

The Lakers waived Hodge on Saturday.

Hodge had served as one of the Lakers' three two-way players this season. The undrafted rookie made a total of seven appearances for the Lakers, averaging just 5.9 minutes per contest.

  • Lakers' D'Moi Hodge: Scores eight off bench

Hodge logged zero points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 12 minutes during Wednesday's 109-101 preseason win over Sacramento.

Hodge scored eight points in eight minutes during the Lakers' preseason opener against the Warriors, but he's now been held scoreless in back-to-back outings. He joined the Lakers on a two-way deal in late June and had some solid performances late in Summer League, but he's unlikely to have a significant role in Los Angeles during the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Lakers' D'Moi Hodge: Records five steals

Hodge put up 23 points (7-13 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five steals, three assists and a block over 32 minutes during Sunday's 104-103 win over the Clippers.

Hodge made his living from beyond the arc once again, with all seven of his field goal makes coming from three-point range. He also impressed on the defensive end, picking up a game-high five steals. The 24-year-old has shown an ability to be a solid three-and-D player, but he likely won't get much opportunity during the 2023-24 season.

  • Lakers' D'Moi Hodge: Rains in six triples

Hodge secured 22 points (8-16 FG, 6-13 3PT), four rebounds and an assist across 30 minutes of Wednesday's 95-90 loss to the Celtics During Summer League.

After a slow start to Summer League, Hodge finally got his shot to drop, erupting for 22 points on fantastic shooting from beyond the arc. Though the Missouri product likely won't earn consistent playing time with the Lakers this season, he could develop into an NBA-caliber three-and-D wing.

  • Lakers' D'Moi Hodge: Signs two-way contract with LAL

The Lakers signed Hodge to a two-way contract Thursday, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Hodge spent two seasons at Cleveland State before following his head coach, Dennis Gates, to Missouri for the 2022-23 campaign. The 6-foot-4 wing was a reliable three-pointer shooter in college and shot 40.0 percent from downtown during his lone season with the Tigers. The 23-year-old is also a capable defender and could develop into a quality three-and-D player at the NBA level.
