  • Hornets' Josh Green: Fills stat sheet Saturday

Green supplied 16 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 39 minutes during Saturday's 116-102 loss to the Cavaliers.

Green was one of two starters who eclipsed the 15-point mark in this game, with Brandon Miller being the other. With the Hornets so depleted, Green is likely to experience an uptick in offensive touches going forward. He's scored at least 15 points in three of his last five outings.

  • Hornets' DaQuan Jeffries: Productive off bench Saturday

Jeffries ended Saturday's 116-102 loss to the Cavaliers with 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes.

Jeffries was tied for the second in the Hornets in scoring alongside Josh Green, and he made the most of his 25 minutes off the bench -- an uptick over the 16 minutes he saw in his season debut on Thursday against the Knicks. Jeffries should continue to see steady minutes off the bench as long as the Hornets remain depleted in terms of depth.

  • Hornets' Brandon Miller: Scores team-high 25 points

Miller totaled 25 points (7-21 FG, 3-13 3Pt, 8-8 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block in 34 minutes during Saturday's 116-102 loss to the Cavaliers.

Miller had a rough shooting performance, but given the Hornets were missing several key pieces on offense, the second-year star had the green light to carry the offense and took as many shots as he saw fit. Despite the lack of efficiency, fantasy managers should be happy with Miller's overall stat line, and he'll continue to enjoy an uptick in usage as long as the Hornets remain depleted. Miller has scored at least 25 points in four straight contests and has reached the 20-point mark in 10 games in a row.

  • Hornets' Taj Gibson: Running with first unit

Gibson is starting Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.

Gibson will draw the start at center after news broke that the team would be without Nick Richards (ankle) and Moussa Diabate (illness) on Saturday. Gibson and Mark Williams should see the majority of the club's minutes at center.

  • Hornets' Cody Martin: Joining starting five

Martin is starting Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.

The Hornets are navigating through a depleted frontcourt, so it'll be Martin who draws the start at power forward without the services of Miles Bridges (knee) and Tidjane Salaun (ankle). Martin's last start dates back to Oct. 26 against the Heat, when he recorded 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 27 minutes.

  • Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Sitting Saturday

Diabate (illness) won't play Saturday against the Cavaliers.

Diabate was a late addition to the team's injury reports, and he's since been ruled out. Nick Richards (ankle) will also sit Saturday, leaving Mark Williams and Taj Gibson to handle the team's minutes at center.

  • Hornets' Nick Richards: Won't go Saturday

Richards (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.

Richards suffered a right ankle sprain during Thursday's matchup with the Knicks, and it'll cost him at least one game. Moussa Diabate (illness) has also been downgraded to out, so it'll be Mark Williams and Taj Gibson who eat up minutes at center Saturday afternoon.

  • Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Added to injury report

Diabate is questionable for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers due to illness.

Diabate wasn't added to the injury report until Saturday morning, so this appears to be a more recent development. The team should have more information on his availability closer to tipoff.

  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Won't play Saturday against Cavs

Bridges (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Cleveland.

Bridges is set to miss his ninth straight game after aggravating a right knee injury. He has been cleared for individual on-court activity, but it's unclear what his exact timeline to return is. His next opportunity to play will be Sunday against the Pacers.

  • Hornets' Tidjane Salaun: Ruled out to face Cleveland

Salaun (ankle) is out for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Salaun suffered an ankle sprain in the first quarter of Thursday's game against the Knicks, and the rookie will miss the team's upcoming contest against the Cavs. The severity of the sprain hasn't been determined yet, but Salaun's next chance to play will come against the Pacers on Sunday for the second leg of a back-to-back set. Expect Josh Green. DaQuan Jeffries and Cody Martin to see more time while Salaun is out.

  • Hornets' Nick Richards: Dealing with right ankle sprain

Richards (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Richards rolled his ankle when he stepped on Cody Martin's foot in the third quarter of Thursday night's game against the Knicks, though Richards was able to stay in the game. If Richards is unable to play Saturday, then Moussa Diabate would be in line to see more minutes off the bench as the backup center behind Mark Williams.

  • Hornets' Seth Curry: Goes for 18 points off bench

Curry racked up 18 points (7-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt), three rebounds and one block over 18 minutes during Thursday's 125-101 loss to New York.

With LaMelo Ball (calf) sidelined, the Hornets need someone to step up, and Curry did a good job off the bench Thursday, missing just two of his nine shots en route to a season-high mark in scoring. However, Curry isn't expected to crack the starting unit, which limits his upside in most formats. It's hard to rely on him for sustained production when he has an inconsistent role off the bench most nights.

  • Hornets' Brandon Miller: Scores 26 points in loss

Miller chipped in 26 points (9-19 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds and three assists over 30 minutes during Thursday's 125-101 loss to New York.

Miller is doing everything he can to carry the Hornets on offense amid the absence of LaMelo Ball (calf), but it hasn't been enough. Despite the team's struggles, Miller has been a solid fantasy option in most formats, and he's the undisputed go-to player for Charlotte with Ball sidelined. The second-year guard has scored at least 20 points in nine games in a row, averaging 28.0 points per game and shooting 44.3 percent from the floor in that span.

  • Hornets' Vasilije Micic: Hands out season-high 12 assists

Micic notched 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound and 12 assists across 35 minutes during Thursday's 125-101 loss to New York.

With LaMelo Ball (calf) and Tre Mann (back) sidelined, Micic has started four straight games, but Thursday was by far his best performance. The 12 dimes were a season-high mark for Micic, and he's averaging 10.8 points, 6.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game since moving to a starting role on Nov. 29. With Ball and Mann expected to be sidelined for at least the next two weeks, Micic could be a solid pickup in most formats.

  • Hornets' DaQuan Jeffries: Makes season debut

Jeffries (hand) tallied eight points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one assist across 16 minutes in Thursday's 125-101 loss to the Knicks.

Jeffries missed the first 20 games of the season while recovering from a fractured right hand before he was cleared to suit up Tuesday against the 76ers. While he didn't play in Tuesday's six-point loss, the blowout nature of Thursday's contest along with the early exit of Tidjane Salaun (ankle) helped open up some minutes for Jeffries. A 27-year-old journeyman who has now seen action for five NBA times during his career, Jeffries is unlikely to be prioritized by Charlotte. He could fall back out of the rotation Saturday versus the Cavaliers if either Salaun or Miles Bridges (knee) is available to play.
