Rockets' Jabari Smith: Scores 15 points in loss
Smith notched 15 points (6-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 134-124 loss to the Nuggets.
Smith had his plate full on both ends of the court Wednesday since he had to deal with the frontcourt of Michael Porter and Nikola Jokic. He had a fair share of struggles on defense, but he still posted a decent stat line even when his shot wasn't entirely accurate. Smith remains prone to having quite a few ups and downs, which is expected from a second-year player, but the progress is noticeable compared to his rookie year. Smith has scored in double digits in six consecutive games and is averaging 16.0 points with 9.0 rebounds per game in that span.... See More ... See Less
Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Stuffs stat sheet in loss
Sengun had 22 points (10-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 134-124 loss to the Nuggets.
Sengun had the daunting task of dealing with Nikola Jokic, and while the Serbian star finished with a triple-double as Denver secured the victory, Sengun made his presence felt as well with contributions on both ends of the court. The young center is one of the most versatile big men in the league, and the numbers back that up, as Sengun is averaging 23.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game over his last six outings.... Rockets' Jalen Green: Comes close to double-double
Green closed with 26 points (8-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, nine assists and one block in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 134-124 loss to the Nuggets.
Green had one of his best performances of the season, as he was handed more responsibility on offense with Fred VanVleet (thumb) out, but he responded admirably while ending just one assist shy of what would've been his first double-double of the season. Green hasn't been very consistent with his scoring figures of late but seems to be turning a corner after scoring at least 25 points in three of his last four outings.... See More ... See Less

Eason (leg) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Nuggets.

Sengun totaled 31 points (10-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 11-14 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and one block over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 121-115 loss to the Mavericks.
There's no longer any doubt that Sengun is the focal point of Houston's offense. Over his last eight games, Sengun averaged 23.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.3 blocks. He does have some flaws in category leagues due to high turnovers and a below-average free-throw percentage, but it's hard to complain about his recent production.... See More ... See Less
