Grizzlies' Jaylen Nowell: Held scoreless in win
Nowell chipped in zero points (0-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 105-91 victory over Utah.
Nowell's role has increased slightly over his three appearances with the Grizzlies, but he couldn't connect on any field-goal attempts during Wednesday's comfortable win. Over his three appearances with Memphis, he's averaged 1.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per game.

Grizzlies' Derrick Rose: Has vintage performance
Rose closed Wednesday's 105-91 victory over Utah with 14 points (7-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds and nine assists in 27 minutes.
Rose excelled in his first start of the year, posting season highs in minutes and assists. The veteran guard also missed just one of his eight attempts from inside the arc. With Ja Morant (suspension) and Marcus Smart (foot) out for an extended period, Rose could continue to see an increased role in Memphis' offense.

Grizzlies' David Roddy: Drops 19 points in spot start
Roddy accumulated 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-9 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 105-91 win over the Jazz.
Roddy moved into the starting lineup Wednesday, replacing Santi Aldama, who was relegated to the bench. His 19 points marked a season high, and it was the third consecutive game in which he has tallied double-digit points. The Grizzles are basically rolling the dice on anyone and everyone to see if they can find a combination that works. Roddy is certainly not a must-roster guy but could be worth a flier heading into Friday's game against the Mavericks.

Grizzlies' Jaren Jackson: Tallies six blocks in win
Jackson ended with 20 points (8-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist, six blocks and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 105-91 victory over the Jazz.
Jackson blocked a season-high six shots Wednesday, while he also scored at least 20 points for just the second time in the past five games. It's been a rough start to the season for Jackson, who currently sits just inside the top 90 in standard leagues. He has blocked nine shots in the past two games, and managers will be hoping this is the start of him turning things around.

Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Grabs eight boards in win
Williams finished Wednesday's 105-91 victory over the Jazz with three points (1-3 FG, 1-3 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes.
Williams matched his career-high with eight rebounds, playing at least 14 minutes for the third time in the past five games. The Grizzlies are a team battling a number of injuries, opening up playing time for guys like Williams. Despite his role, there is nothing to see here from a fantasy perspective.

Grizzlies' Santi Aldama: Rejoining reserves
Aldama will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Despite averaging 17.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in his last four games with the starters, Aldama will come off the bench for Wednesday's tilt. Instead, the Grizzlies will start Derrick Rose, Desmond Bane, David Roddy, Jaren Jackson and Bismack Biyombo.

Grizzlies' Jacob Gilyard: Slides back to bench
Gilyard won't start Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Gilyard will rejoin the reserves after spending three games with the starters. He'll be replaced by Derrick Rose in the first unit for Wednesday's tilt. In six appearances with the second unit, Gilyard is averaging 2.0 points and 3.2 assists over 12.3 minutes.

Grizzlies' Derrick Rose: Gets starting nod
Rose is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus Utah, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Rose will replace Jacob Gilyard in the starting lineup Wednesday. Rose has yet to play over 22 minutes in a game this season, but the veteran guard could see a boost in his playing time after being inserted into the starting unit.

Grizzlies' Marcus Smart: Sheds boot
Smart was spotted during Wednesday's morning shootaround without a boot on his injured left foot, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
The defensive-minded point guard told reporters he's "getting there," but it's still unclear how much time Smart will miss. He was diagnosed with a left foot sprain in mid-November and was initially expected to miss 3-to-5 weeks. The Grizzlies have been depleted by injuries all season, so Derrick Rose, Jacob Gilyard and John Konchar have been thrust into expanded roles in Memphis' backcourt recently.

Grizzlies' Xavier Tillman: Remains out Wednesday
Tillman (knee) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Jazz.
Tillman will miss his sixth straight game while dealing with a left knee injury. Bismack Biyombo should continue to start in Tillman's absence. While the Grizzlies are treating Tillman as week-to-week, his next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup in Dallas.

Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Scores in double figures
Bane posted 13 points (5-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt), two rebounds and four assists over 34 minutes during Sunday's 119-97 loss to the Timberwolves.
Bane was held to a single-digit scoring total during Friday's loss to the Suns, but he was slightly more effective Sunday despite continuing to shoot relatively inefficiently from the floor. The 25-year-old is now averaging 23.6 points, 5.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 34.1 minutes per game this year.

Grizzlies' Bismack Biyombo: Decent stat line Sunday
Biyombo recorded 10 points (2-3 FG, 6-10 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Sunday's 119-97 loss to the Timberwolves.
Biyombo has started 10 straight games with Steven Adams (knee), Brandon Clarke (Achilles) and Xavier Tillman (knee) sidelined, averaging 8.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 blocks in 28.4 minutes during that stretch. This is the first time Biyombo is starting on a semi-regular basis since the 2020-21 campaign when he was playing for Charlotte, and he figures to retain the role moving forward, as Adams and Clarke will likely miss the entire season while Tillman's return isn't imminent.

Grizzlies' Jaren Jackson: Active at both ends Sunday
Jackson closed with 18 points (4-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-10 FT), four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 119-97 loss to Minnesota.
Jackson struggled from the field, but his efficiency from the charity stripe salvaged his scoring figures. He also contributed steadily in other categories to aid his fantasy line. Jackson has struggled to handle a more significant role on offense this season with Ja Morant (suspension) unavailable, and while Jackson's scoring numbers are up from 18.6 points to 19.4 this season, his percentages have crashed. He's shooting a career-worst 41.1 percent from the field.

Grizzlies' Santi Aldama: Continues to thrive as starter
Aldama provided 14 points (6-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds and two assists over 27 minutes during Sunday's 119-97 loss to the Timberwolves.
Aldama has started in each of Memphis' last four games, and even though the team has lost all those contests, Aldama continues to find ways to make an impact while embracing a more significant role. He's averaging 17.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game when playing with the first unit, and that includes surpassing the 20-point mark twice in that span.
