Edwards (hip) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
Edwards was considered doubtful for Thursday's matchup, so it isn't very surprising to see him officially ruled out. Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kyle Anderson, Troy Brown and Shake Milton are candidates to see increased run against Utah. However, coach Chris Finch hopes Edwards' injury isn't serious and is optimistic that the shooting guard will be available Saturday against the Hornets.

Brown posted 17 points (5-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and three rebounds over 21 minutes in a 106-103 win over the Thunder on Tuesday.
Tuesday's contest marked Brown's second outing logging over 20 minutes, and he did not disappoint, supplying a remarkably efficient scoring performance. While Brown's increased usage stemmed from a hip injury to Anthony Edwards that forced him out of the game in the third quarter and the ongoing absence of Jaden McDaniels (ankle), Brown certainly took advantage of the opportunity and could continue to see increased playing time moving forward.

Garza was transferred from the G League's Iowa Wolves to the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Garza was sent to Iowa on Wednesday morning to practice with the G League club, but he'll rejoin the Timberwolves a few hours later. He's been on the fringes of the rotation for the parent club this year and shouldn't see significant minutes moving forward.

Gobert is averaging 12.0 points and 11.1 rebounds per game in November.

The Timberwolves came away with the win against Oklahoma City, but Towns had a woeful shooting display, and his eight trips to the charity stripe played a crucial role in his final stat line. However, this was nothing more than an off night for the star big man, and he needs to bounce back quickly, as he's expected to hold a prominent role on offense against the Jazz on Thursday, especially if Anthony Edwards (hip) can't play.

Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Doesn't return Tuesday
Edwards didn't return to Tuesday's 106-103 win over the Thunder after exiting in the third quarter with a right hip contusion. He finished with 21 points (7-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block over 28 minutes.
Though Edwards was able to hit the 20-point mark for the sixth consecutive game, fantasy managers are likely more concerned about his availability moving forward after he landed hard on his hip during a dunk attempt. While the diagnosis of a bruised hip doesn't sound significant, Edwards could be subject to further testing as the Timberwolves look to ensure that the contusion is the extent of his injury. He can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Thursday's game against the Jazz.
