Pruitt was limited in practice Tuesday due to a knee issue, and he appears to have now taken a step backward in his recovery. Pruitt (knee) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice.
Pruitt likely picked up the injury during the Steelers' Week 18 loss to the Bengals. He'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation ahead of Saturday's wild-card game against the Ravens. For most of the 2024 regular season, Pruitt served as a blocking tight end and third on the Steelers' depth chart behind Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington. Pruitt ended the regular season with six catches (on 10 targets) for 40 yards and one touchdown across 12 games in his first season in Pittsburgh.

Pruitt (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.
Pruitt was also listed with rest, so it sounds like he's going to be fine for Thursday night's divisional clash with the Browns. The Steelers' No. 4 tight end, Pruitt has two catches for 19 yards this season.

Pruitt is still working his way through a knee injury and was unable to suit up for Sunday's win over the Ravens. Pruitt appears to have worsened his knee injury in the Steelers' Week 10 win over the Commanders, as he's been unable to practice all week and is likely in line to miss his fifth game of the season Sunday. Pruitt initially suffered a knee injury in Week 2, causing him to miss four contests, but he was able to return to game action in Week 7. He wasn't listed on the injury report Wednesday, so perhaps this is more of a rest day or Pruitt may have suffered an aggravation of some sort. Pruitt has played 42 percent of the offensive snaps in games he's been healthy for this season, catching two of three targets for 19 yards. He's mainly been a blocker.
