Player Outlook
If you only saw Parker's final game in 2022, you might have thought he had a quality season in his first year in New England. In Week 18 at Buffalo, Parker caught six passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets. But that game was the exception and not the rule. Parker only scored one other touchdown in 2022 and had just five games with at least 10 PPR points while also missing four games due to injury. He turned 30 this offseason, and the Patriots added JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mike Gesicki to compete for targets. Tyquan Thornton could also see a bigger role, and Parker doesn't have much upside in this run-first offense led by Mac Jones. In deeper leagues, you can draft Parker with a late-round pick, but most likely he'll be a waiver addition if he starts the season playing well.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Won't play Thursday

Parker (knee) is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Steelers, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Parker, who was listed as a limited participant on practice reports Monday through Wednesday, approached the contest listed as questionable, and he'll sit this one out along with Demario Douglas (concussion) and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder). In his absence, JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle), Tyquan Thornton, Jalen Reagor and Malik Cunningham are available to handle New England's WR duties versus Pittsburgh. Parker now will target a potential return to action Sunday, Dec. 17 against the Chiefs.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Gets Week 14 questionable tag

Parker (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game at Pittsburgh. The Patriots listed him as a limited practice participant Monday through Wednesday, making Parker more likely than not to play. He led the team with nine targets and 64 receiving yards in Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers, stepping up as the de facto No. 1 receiver with Demario Douglas inactive due to a concussion. Douglas and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) both have been ruled out again for Week 14, while JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) also is listed as questionable after three straight days of being listed as a limited participant on practice reports. Quarterback Bailey Zappe won't have many playmakers to work with Thursday, and the running game is missing its engine with Rhamondre Stevenson ruled out due to a high-ankle sprain.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Limited Tuesday

Parker (knee) was listed as limited on Tuesday's injury report. JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) also received the same listing, while Demario Douglas continued to sit out due to the concussion that he suffered in Week 12. As such, it's still unclear which wideouts the Patriots will actually have on the field Thursday in Pittsburgh.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Limited Monday with knee injury

Parker (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate. Parker led the Patriots in targets (nine) and receiving yards (64) in this past Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers, but he's nursing a knee injury in the aftermath of that strong performance. Fellow wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) also was listed as limited on Monday's estimate, while Demario Douglas (concussion) was a non-participant. With Douglas potentially unable to suit up Thursday in Pittsburgh, Parker could remain the team's top wide receiver if he's able to shed this knee injury.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Best game of season in shutout loss

Parker caught four of nine targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers. With fellow wide receiver Demario Douglas (concussion) sidelined, Parker worked as the top target for new starting quarterback Bailey Zappe. Parker led the team in targets and receiving yards while accounting for nearly half of Zappe's 141 passing yards. The veteran wideout just missed getting his feet down along the sideline on a deep ball on New England's final drive, but Parker still finished with his highest yardage total of the season. Parker should remain featured in New England's low-octane passing game Thursday against the Steelers.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Three catches in return

Parker recorded three catches on five targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 10-7 loss to the Giants. Parker returned from a two-game absence and finished second on the team with 42 receiving yards. He also accounted for the Patriots' two longest plays from scrimmage on catches of 19 and 17 yards. While it was a relatively positive performance, Parker has failed to top 50 receiving yards in all but one of his eight contests on the campaign.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Suits up Sunday

Parker (concussion) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Giants, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site/a> reports. Parker last saw game action in Week 8 but following a two-game absence and the Patriots' bye week, the veteran wideout is ready to rejoin the team's pass-catching mix Sunday. In his second season with New England, the 2015 first-rounder has recorded 15 catches (on 25 targets) for 158 yards and no TDs in seven games, and in that context Parker's fantasy upside appears modest in his return to action in Week 12. At this stage, rookie Demario Douglas profiles as the most reliable lineup option among the squad's wide receivers.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Questionable for Sunday's contest

Parker (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants after being limited in practice this week. Parker hasn't seen game action since Week 8, but in the wake of the Patriots' Week 11 bye and a return to limited practices this week, the veteran wideout has a chance to return to action versus New York. Even though he didn't practice fully Wednesday through Friday, Parker could get the green light to play Sunday if he gains clearance from an independent neurologist at some point Saturday. In the seven outings he's played in this season, Parker has notched 15 catches for 158 yards and no touchdowns on 25 targets, a level of production that has thus far limited his fantasy lineup utility to deeper formats.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Logs limited practice

Parker (concussion) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday. Parker last played Week 8, but following the Patriots' Week 11 bye, a limited session Wednesday suggests that he could return to action Sunday against the Giants. In seven games to date, Parker has recorded 15 catches for 158 yards and no touchdowns on 25 targets, a rate of production that limits the veteran wideout's fantasy utility to deeper formats.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Ruled out this week

Parker (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Colts, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Though Parker was able to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday and Thursday, he was one of three players ruled out by the Patriots ahead of this weekend's game in Frankfurt, Germany. With Parker set to miss his second game in a row, the Patriots are expected to lean on Demario Douglas (ankle), JuJu Smith-Schuster and Jalen Reagor as their top three receivers. Parker will target a return to action Nov. 26 against the Giants following the Patriots' Week 11 bye.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Ruled out this week

Parker (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, Parker was spotted at the media-access portion of Friday's practice, but he ended being listed as a non-participant and won't see Week 9 action. With Parker unavailable and Kendrick Bourne (knee) on IR, the Patriots' top current healthy WRs are Demario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Jalen Reagor, with Tyquan Thornton (foot, questionable) -- if active -- and rookie Kayshon Boutte also candidates to get in the mix. Parker now will target a potential return to action Sunday, Nov. 12 against the Colts.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Spotted at practice Friday

Parker (concussion) was present for the media-access portion of Friday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Parker didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but the wideout's presence at Friday's session offers hope that he could potentially be available Sunday against the Commanders. The Patriots' upcoming injury report will clarify whether Parker has a chance to suit up this weekend or is ruled out due to the concussion he sustained Week 8 at Miami.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Remains sidelined Thursday

Parker (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Parker also missed practice Wednesday, clouding his status for Sunday's game against the Commanders. If Parker is unavailable this weekend, Demario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Jalen Reagor could profile as the Patriots' top three wideouts, with Tyquan Thornton and Kayshon Boutte potentially seeing expanded roles behind the trio.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: In concussion protocol

Parker is in the NFL's concussion protocol after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit during Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Dolphins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Prior to exiting Sunday's contest, Parker had logged 23 snaps on offense, while catching one of his two targets for 14 yards. It remains to be seen if Parker will be able to gain medical clearance ahead of this coming weekend's game against the Commanders, but either way once he's able to play, the 30-year-old, who has caught one pass in each of his last three outings, could be a candidate to see added targets, given that New England's top pass catcher Kendrick Bourne reportedly tore his right ACL versus Miami.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Exits Sunday after hard hit

Parker won't return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins after sustaining a head injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit in the third quarter, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports. Parker was on the receiving end of a hard hit from Dolphins safety DeShon Elliott and appeared to have trouble regaining balance after he was walked off the field following the play in question. Given that he missed multiple games in 2022 with a concussion, the Patriots' decision to quickly rule Parker out for the day comes as little surprise. Prior to his exit, Parker caught one of his two targets for 14 yards.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Catches lone target Sunday

Parker caught his only target for eight yards in Sunday's 29-25 win over the Bills. Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, Parker's 35 snaps (out of a possible 60) were a season-low mark, with part of that attributable to practice-squad elevation Jalen Reagor logging 25 snaps in the contest. In any case, following back-to-back one-catch efforts, Parker profiles as a speculative fantasy lineup option ahead of the Patriots' Week 8 game against the Dolphins, who drafted the wideout 14th overall in 2015.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: One catch Sunday

Parker was on the field for 45 of a possible 60 snaps on offense in Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Raiders, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Given that JuJu Smith-Schuster and Demario Douglas were both out with concussions, Parker and Kendrick Bourne headed the Patriots' Week 6 WR corps, but Parker wound up with just one catch on three targets for seven yards. With Smith-Schuster and Douglas candidates to return in Week 7 and Tyquan Thornton also in the mix, Parker looks like a speculative lineup option ahead of this Sunday's game against the Bills. In five games this season, the 2015 first-rounder has caught 13 of his 22 targets for 136 yards, a rate of production that limits his fantasy value to deeper formats.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Two catches in shutout loss

Parker secured two of four targets of 20 yards in the Patriots' 34-0 loss to the Saints on Sunday. The veteran's numbers were underwhelming but also a byproduct of the Patriots' poor quarterback play on the part of both Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe. Parker's season numbers seemingly don't have much hope for improvement for that very reason, but he will have an appealing matchup on paper in a Week 6 road matchup against the Raiders.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Two catches in blowout loss

Parker recorded two receptions on four targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Cowboys. Parker generated an underwhelming line, though the entire Patriots' offense failed to deliver. Positively, he did account for the team's second-longest gain from scrimmage on a 22-yard catch with six minutes remaining in the game. While Parker delivered a six-catch, 57-yard performance in Week 2, he's combined to record only four receptions for 52 yards across a pair of contests since.

  • Patriots' DeVante Parker: Just three targets in Week 3

Parker caught two of three targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Jets. Parker had the third-most receiving yards on the team behind Pharaoh Brown (71) and Kendrick Bourne (46) in the low-scoring win. While he's locked into a starting role on the outside, Parker has a low target floor in a run-heavy New England offense. He'll look to bounce back in Week 4 against a Dallas secondary that recently lost Trevon Diggs (knee) for the season.
