Njoku (knee) has been placed on IR by the Browns.
Njoku already was ruled out for the Browns' season finale, so the tight end now will focus on moving past the knee injury that also sidelined him Week 17. When he was available, Njoku was a viable fantasy option in 2024, having recorded a 64-505-5 line on 97 targets through 11 games played. The 28-year-old is under contract with Cleveland in 2025 and thus is slated to reprise his starting role for the team next season.

Njoku was estimated as a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice. After another absence Wednesday, he'll have just one more opportunity to practice this week before the Browns decide whether he'll be available for Saturday's game against the Ravens. If Njoku remains sidelined this weekend, Jordan Akins would likely serve as the Browns' top option at tight end.

Njoku failed to practice throughout the week after sustaining a knee injury during Cleveland's 24-6 loss to the Bengals in Week 16. Jordan Akins will fill in atop the tight end depth chart in what will be Njoku's fifth absence of the season.
