Mostert (chest) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in New England, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Mostert hasn't played since Week 1 due to a chest injury, which has sidelined him the last three contests. He was able to return to practice as of Sept. 18, but he also was listed as limited on every Dolphins injury report in the meantime until Friday, when he finally logged a full practice. Coach Mike McDaniel told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald on Friday that the team is "going to modify how much he plays in general" if he's able to suit up Sunday. As a result, Mostert likely will be operating with a cap on his reps this weekend and perhaps until McDaniel feels he can handle a normal workload. Expect Mostert to play second fiddle to De'Von Achane out of Miami's backfield for the time being.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Could play Sunday, practice pending
Rotowire
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that Mostert (chest) could suit up Sunday versus New England on modified reps, depending on how much he's able to do in practice Friday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Mostert has practiced in a limited capacity since his return to on-field activities Sept. 18, so it sounds like the veteran running back may need to handle a full session Friday in order to be cleared for Week 5. Even if given the green light to play in New England, though, it sounds like Mostert would remain on a snap count. McDaniel said the same for wide receiver Odell Beckham (knee), who resumed practicing Wednesday but has yet to be fully activated from the reserve/PUP list.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Still limited at practice
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) remained limited at practice Thursday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Mostert, who has missed three straight games, continues to practice in a limited fashion as Sunday's game against the Patriots approaches. He'll presumably need to upgrade to full participation Friday in order to avoid an injury designation heading into the weekend.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Remains limited at practice
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Mostert was also limited last week, but ended up inactive for Monday's loss to the Titans and has now missed three straight games. The running back has two more chances to increase his practice participation level in advance of Sunday's game at New England. If Mostert remains sidelined this weekend against the Patriots, De'Von Achane would continue to lead Miami's backfield.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Won't play Monday
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Titans.
After logging three straight limited practices, Mostert -- who last played Week 1 -- was listed as questionable ahead of the contest, but he'll remain out Monday and target a potential return to action Sunday, Oct. 6 against the Patriots. In Mostert's continued absence, De'Von Achane is in line to lead Miami's Week 4 backfield, with Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright also available to mix in.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Not expected to play Monday
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) isn't expected to play Monday night against the Titans, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Mostert is listed as questionable for the contest, but if he is indeed unavailable versus Tennessee, De'Von Achane, Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright would be in line to handle Miami's backfield duties. Official confirmation of Mostert's status will arrive when the Dolphins' inactives are posted about 90 minutes ahead of Monday's 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Questionable for Monday
Rotowire
Mostert (chest), who is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Titans, "is trying" to be ready for the contest according to coach Mike McDaniel, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Mostert, who has missed the Dolphins' last two games, logged limited practices this past week before being deemed questionable ahead of Week 4 action. At this stage, however, his status for Monday remains uncertain, with McDaniel having noted of Mostert, "We are not going to prematurely put ourselves out there if we are going to take steps back and not protect ourselves. He wants to [play] in the worst way." If Mostert is unavailable for Monday's 7:30 ET kickoff, De'Von Achane, Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright would handle backfield duties against Tennessee.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Listed as questionable
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Titans, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
Mostert was a limited participant in practice all week, so it stands to reason the veteran could make a return after missing the past two games. It's worth noting the 32-year-old had a similar practice cadence last week, but there's been a bit more optimism this go-around about his playing time status. Expect to hear more information from one of the national reporters before the primetime contest starting at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Another limited practice
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) was a limited practice participant Friday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
For a second consecutive week, Mostert is operating with a cap on his practice reps due to the chest injury that has plagued him since a Week 1 win against the Jaguars. Per Furones, Mostert expressed optimism Friday about returning to action Week 4, but the main hindrance for him at the moment is pain tolerance. Considering the Dolphins don't play until 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday, there won't be many backfield options to pivot to if he eventually goes down as inactive. On the other hand, if Mostert is available, he likely will wear some extra padding to help avoid any sort of aggravation of the issue. Whenever he's back, though, there's a good chance he'd play second fiddle to fellow Miami RB De'Von Achane.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Starts week with limited practice
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) was limited in practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Mostert, who hasn't played since Week 1, remains limited in practice, as he was before being ruled out to suit up against the Seahawks in Week 3. The veteran running back will have two more opportunities to upgrade his participation level ahead of Miami's home matchup against the Titans on Monday. If Mostert can gain full clearance to retake the field Week 4, he'll stand to rejoin De'Von Achane atop the Dolphins' backfield.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Inactive versus Seattle
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Though Mostert worked in a limited capacity at practice this past week, coach Mike McDaniel expressed pessimism ahead of the weekend regarding the running back's Week 3 playing prospects. Now that he's been made inactive for the second game in a row, Mostert will target a potential return to action Sept. 30 against the Titans. In his continued absence, De'Von Achane should lead Miami's backfield versus Seattle, with Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright also available to mix in.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Doubtful for Sunday
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Seahawks after being limited in practice this week, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Mostert's official injury status aligns with the pessimism coach Mike McDaniel previously expressed to Furones with regard to the running back's Week 3 playing prospects. In the event that Mostert is inactive Sunday, look for De'Von Achane to lead Miami's backfield versus Seattle, with Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright on hand to mix in.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Pessimism regarding Week 3 status
Rotowire
Coach Mike McDaniel noted Friday that he's not optimistic about the availability of Mostert (chest) for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
When addressing the status of Mostert -- who was inactive in Week 2 -- McDaniel noted, "I'd be pessimistic that he'd play, but I can't rule it out." Added context regarding the running back's chances of playing this weekend will arrive once the Dolphins' injury report is posted Friday. If Mostert is unavailable versus Seattle, De'Von Achane, Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright would handle Miami's Week 3 backfield duties.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Another limited session
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
After Mostert emerged from Week 1 with a chest injury, the Dolphins held him out of practice on a short week and then ruled him out for last Thursday's contest versus the Bills. As Miami reconvened this week, he's been able to maintain his activity level through two sessions, but his listing on Friday's injury report will be key as it pertains to his odds to return Sunday at Seattle. Once he's cleared for game action, Mostert likely will take a back seat to second-year pro De'Von Achane out of the Dolphins backfield.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Logs limited practice
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Mostert didn't practice leading up to Miami's Sept. 12 loss to the Bills, but with the added recovery time afforded to him by the Dolphins playing on Thursday in Week 2, he's been seeing a daily uptick in progress, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. If Mostert can maintain limited activity in practices Thursday or Friday or even upgrade to full participation, he'll have a good chance at returning to action Sunday versus the Seahawks.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Returns to practice
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) is present for practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
After getting injured in the season opener, Mostert was unable to practice or play on a short week with the Dolphins playing Buffalo last Thursday. He may be a limited participant in his return to practice Wednesday, but Mostert's presence on the field at least suggests that he'll have a shot to play this Sunday in Seattle.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Not expected to land on IR
Rotowire
The Dolphins are not expected to place Mostert (chest), who has already been ruled out for Thursday's divisional matchup against the Bills, on injured reserve, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Mostert will miss Week 2 due to a chest injury sustained in Miami's season-opening win over Jacksonville, but the veteran back doesn't appear to be dealing with a long-term issue. His next chance to play will come on the road against Seattle in Week 3, on Sunday, Sept. 22. Mostert didn't practice in any capacity leading up to his being ruled out against Buffalo, and in Week 1 he logged just six carries for nine yards, plus two catches for 10 yards (on three targets). If rookie fourth-round pick Jaylen Wright or veteran Jeff Wilson manages to truly impress with increased opportunity, fantasy managers may have difficulty being confident relying on on Mostert in starting lineups until he shows more of the upside he did in his 21-TD 2023 campaign.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Ruled out for Thursday
Rotowire
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that Mostert (chest) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bills, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Mostert sustained the chest injury in the Dolphins' season-opening win over the Jaguars on Sunday, with Furones relaying that the veteran running back attempted to play through the issue. The Dolphins won't rush Mostert back on the field in a short week, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relays that change-of-pace back De'Von Achane (ankle) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday. Those developments could pave the way for veteran Jeff Wilson and rookie fourth-round pick Jaylen Wright to handle key backfield roles versus Buffalo. McDaniel declined to offer a timetable for Mostert's recovery, but said that "my sense is, it's not something that time won't take care of," per Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald. The Dolphins will presumably reassesses Mostert's status following Thursday's game before a clearer picture regarding his availability for a Week 3 matchup with the Seahawks on Sept. 22 emerges.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Sits out Tuesday's walk-through
Rotowire
Mostert (chest) was listed as a non-participant during Tuesday's walk-through practice, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
The Dolphins have labeled Mostert as a non-participant on both of their first two Week 2 injury reports after he logged 28 snaps and carried six times for nine yards while adding two receptions for 10 yards on three targets in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Jaguars. While the team hasn't suggested that Mostert's injury is a major concern, he may need to get in some listed practice activity Wednesday to avoid carrying an injury designation into Thursday's game against the Bills.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Tending to chest injury
Rotowire
Mostert was listed as a non-participant on the Dolphins' estimated practice report Monday due to a chest injury.
The same can be said for fellow running back De'Von Achane, who is dealing with an ankle issue. Neither health concern was reported in the wake of Miami's 20-17 win against the Jaguars on Sunday, so the situation bears watching to see who among the duo may be available for Thursday's AFC East showdown with the Bills. Currently, Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright are the healthy backfield options on the Dolphins' active roster.
