    Wingard recorded 11 tackles (10 solo) in Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Ravens. Wingard stepped into a starting role at safety with Andre Cisco (groin) unavailable in Week 15, compiling a season-high 11 takedowns. If Cisco is unable to play in Week 16 versus the Buccaneers, Wingard will likely draw the start again in Jacksonville's secondary.

    Wingard was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. Wingard spent 13 days in COVID protocols and missed the Jaguars' final two games. Prior to his two absences, Wingard hadn't missed a game this season and played 100 percent of the defensive snaps in 11 of 15 games. The third-year pro set a career high of 88 tackles (57 solo) in his first year as a full-time starter, and he enters the offseason as a restricted free agent.
