Saints' Juwan Johnson: Clears 40 receiving yards Sunday
Johnson brought in both targets for 41 yards in the Saints' 23-22 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
Johnson's receiving yardage total was enough to tie him for second on the afternoon with Taysom Hill. Johnson saw a four-game streak of at least three receptions snapped with Sunday's stat line, but on the bright side, he's now cleared 40 receiving yards in three of the past four games. However, the fifth-year pro heads into a Week 10 home matchup against the Falcons still seeking his first touchdown since Week 1.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Full practice Thursday
Johnson (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Stretching back to last week, Johnson was listed as limited on four consecutive practice reports due to a shoulder issue before Thursday's uncapped session. With his health cleared up ahead of the weekend, Johnson will continue on as the Saints' top TE, which could be a boon for him with Derek Carr (oblique) expected to return to action Sunday at Carolina.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Remains limited by shoulder issue
Johnson was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
For a second week in a row, Johnson is tending to a shoulder concern, but on a positive note, the Saints didn't include any mention of the head injury that he was evaluated for during this past Sunday's 26-8 loss to the Chargers. He'll thus aim to return to full participation Thursday and/or Friday and sidestep a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Carolina.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Cleared after being evaluated
Saints head coach Dennis Allen said Monday that Johnson is fully cleared after having been evaluated for a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Chargers, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Johnson was evaluated late during New Orleans' Week 8 loss, but he's good to go for Sunday's road matchup against Carolina. Prior to being forced out versus the Chargers, Johnson had secured three of four targets for 48 yards. With quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) trending in the right direction to return Week 9, Johnson and the Saints' passing game as a whole could be positioned to benefit.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Evaluated for head injury
Johnson was evaluated for a head injury late in Sunday's 26-8 loss to the Chargers, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
The results of Johnson's evaluation weren't immediately available. If a concussion is revealed, Johnson would need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to play in Week 9 against the Panthers. He had three catches for 48 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Good to go for Sunday
Johnson (shoulder) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Due to the shoulder injury, Johnson was a limited participant in practice throughout the week, but the Saints saw enough from him to give him the green light for Sunday. After a slow start to the season, Johnson has picked up the pace with 11 catches for 97 yards on 14 targets across the last three games, though he's benefited from the Saints missing several key playmakers during that stretch. In Week 8, the Saints will get Chris Olave (concussion) and Taysom Hill (rib) back from one- and three-game absences, respectively, so Johnson's target share could take at least a slight hit Sunday compared to recent weeks.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Another limited practice
Johnson (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Johnson is operating with a cap on his practice reps this week, while Taysom Hill (rib) followed up a limited session Wednesday with full participation one day later. As such, Johnson has one more chance this week to get back to all activity or thus risk entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game at the Chargers.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Limited by shoulder issue
Johnson practiced on a limited basis Wednesday due to a shoulder injury.
Johnson previously dealt with a forearm issue during Week 5 prep, but he's been able to suit up in all seven games this season and earn at least a 50 percent snap share in five consecutive contests. He hasn't produced much during those five weeks, accruing a 13-110-0 receiving line in 17 targets, even with Taysom Hill (rib) sidelined for four of them. Both Johnson and Hill had caps on their practice reps Wednesday, so the statuses of both will need to be monitored as the week goes on.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Modest numbers despite absences
Johnson secured three of six targets for 18 yards in the Saints' 33-10 loss to the Broncos on Thursday night.
The veteran tight end couldn't take advantage of the absences of Chris Olave (concussion), Rashid Shaheed (knee) and Taysom Hill (ribs), although he did log a season-high target total. However, Johnson couldn't come close to the season-best 48 receiving yards he'd posted four days earlier against the Buccaneers, and his outlook figures to remain modest going into a Week 8 road matchup against the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 27, a game which Olave and Hill are likely to be back for.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Logs three catches versus Tampa Bay
Johnson caught all three targets for 48 yards during Sunday's 51-27 loss to the Buccaneers.
Johnson logged a season-high in receiving yards, most of which came on a season-long 27-yard reception in the first quarter. He also had two other targets wiped off the board by penalties in the third and fourth quarters. The Saints to featured their tight ends more with rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler starting in place of an injured Derek Carr (oblique), as Foster Moreau also logged two receptions on two targets for 54 yards. Johnson's recent resurgence in the offense is encouraging for any fantasy owners who took a flier on him early in the season. However, he's still probably just a solid waiver-wire pickup rather than a dependable piece in week-to-week lineups. Johnson will look to log at least three targets for the fourth game in a row during the Saints' upcoming game versus Denver on Thursday Night Football.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Catches five passes Week 5
Johnson reeled in all five targets for 31 yards during Monday's 26-13 loss to the Chiefs.
The tight end got more involved Week 5, establishing season-high marks across the board, including in playing time (78 percent snap share). However, the 6-foot-4 pass catcher was still kept out of the end zone for a fourth game in a row. The Saints' passing game remains focused around Rashid Shaheed, Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara, with few others beyond that trio producing reliably in a given week. The Saints' game plans could change with Derek Carr expected to miss at least a couple weeks with an oblique injury sustained late in Monday's loss, but that may result in a more run-heavy offense that could leave even fewer targets available for Johnson.
