  • Kyron Johnson: Let go with injury settlement

The Titans cut Johnson (undisclosed) from injured reserve Monday with an injury settlement.

Johnson reverted to the Titans' injured list Thursday after being waived and going unclaimed. The two sides were able to come together to reach an injury settlement agreement, which will allow Johnson to play in 2025 once he's fully healthy. He appeared in six regular-season games for the Steelers in 2023, tallying 98 special-teams snaps without recording a tackle.

  • Titans' Kyron Johnson: Reverts to injured reserve

Johnson (undisclosed) reverted to the Titans' injured reserve list Thursday.

Johnson was waived with an injury designation Wednesday and will now head to injured reserve, where he'll be forced to miss the 2025 season unless he's later cut with an injury settlement. The 26-year-old has has appeared in 22 career regular-season games, recording eight tackles (six solo), mainly as a special teams player.

  • Kyron Johnson: Let go by Tennessee

The Titans waived Johnson (undisclosed) with an injury designation Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Johnson will head to waivers despite having signed with the team back in January. If the 26-year-old ends up clearing waivers, he should revert to the team's injured reserve.

  • Kyron Johnson: Finds new opportunity

Johnson is signing with the Steelers' practice squad Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Johnson was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Eagles, but he was unable to garner a roster spot after missing much of training camp due to an appendectomy. He did play 16 games with Philadelphia last season, mostly contributing on special teams and recording eight tackles.

  • Kyron Johnson: Joins Birds' practice squad

Philadelphia signed Johnson (appendix) to its practice squad Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Johnson missed the end of the Eagles' training camp due to an appendectomy and subsequently didn't make the 53-man roster, but he's now at least back in the fold. He contributed more on special teams than on defense during his rookie season, so if he's to be elevated to the active roster, it will likely be to contribute on that front.

  • Kyron Johnson: Doesn't make team

Johnson (appendix) was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Johnson missed the end of training camp due to an appendectomy, which may have been a factor in him missing out on a roster spot. The 25-year-old was a sixth-round pick by Philadelphia in the 2022 Draft and played in 16 games with the team as a rookie, featuring mostly on special teams. Zangaro reports that the Eagles would like to have Johnson back as a member of their practice squad.

  • Eagles' Kyron Johnson: Undergoes appendectomy

Johnson missed practice Saturday after undergoing an appendectomy, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.

This news helps explain why Johnson wasn't present for Thursday's preseason tie with Cleveland,. The second-year pro is competing for a spot on the Eagles' initial 53-man roster, so this setback may hurt his chances.

  • Eagles' Kyron Johnson: Gets in full practice Wednesday

Johnson (shoulder) was a full participant at practice Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game at Chicago.

After being forced out of Philadelphia's win at the Giants on Sunday early with a shoulder injury, Johnson appears to be on track to play again in Week 15. The rookie sixth-rounder should continue to see the lion's share of his work on special teams.

  • Eagles' Kyron Johnson: Done for the day

Johnson (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Giants, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

Johnson suffered an apparent shoulder injury during the first half of Sunday's contest versus New York, and it's since been revealed that he won't re-enter the game. His next chance to suit up will now come in Week 15 against the Bears.

  • Eagles' Kyron Johnson: Exits with injury

Johnson (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Giants.

Johnson did not record a statistic before departing in the first half. The rookie linebacker had played just two defensive snaps up until last week's lopsided win over the Titans, so his absence likely won't impact the Eagles defense.

  • Eagles' Kyron Johnson: Clears concussion protocol

The Eagles removed Johnson's (concussion) designation for Sunday's game at Arizona.

After leaving last Sunday's win against the Jaguars to be evaluated for a head injury, Johnson followed a DNP/LP/FP practice regimen but entered the weekend as questionable to play. Now that he's cleared the concussion protocol, the sixth-round rookie will continue to log most of his snaps on special teams.
