Davis underwent knee surgery in mid-August and has spent the first four weeks of the 2024 season on San Francisco's injured reserve list. Now that his practice window is open, the 49ers have 21 days to activate Davis to their active roster. Expect the UCF product to serve as a rotational interior defensive lineman once he's fully past his knee injury.

The defensive tackle suffered a high-ankle sprain last December and missed the final three weeks of the regular season and the 49ers' divisional-round playoff win over the Packers. Davis practiced before the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl but was never activated. In 2023, the rookie played on 50 defensive snaps and five special-teams snaps, recording one tackle.
