Top Christian Watson News

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Makes long catch

Watson recorded two receptions on four targets for 67 yards in Thursday's 30-17 win over the Dolphins.

Watson delivered a pair of big plays for the Packers, redeeming himself after a disappointing drop on a long target in Week 12. His first catch went for 21 yards just before halftime to help set up a Packers score, and he later chipped in a 46-yard reception to account for the team's second-longest play from scrimmage. Watson remains a big-play threat, but a risky fantasy option. Even after this decent performance, he's failed to reach 50 receiving yards in all but four of 11 matchups on the campaign.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Contained in Week 12

Watson had one carry for four yards in Sunday's 38-10 victory over the 49ers.

Watson entered Sunday's contest on the heels of a career-best 150-yard performance, but he was targeted only three times in Green Bay's lopsided win, and a drop on a potential 49-yard touchdown pass right before halftime proved particularly costly for fantasy players. Watson did lead Packers receivers in snaps for the first time all season in Week 12, and he could be busier than usual again if Romeo Doubs (concussion) is unable to go Thursday against the Dolphins. Either way, Watson will be facing a Miami defense that has contained wide receivers as well as any team in the league.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Puts forth season-best effort

Watson brought in all four targets for 150 yards in the Packers' 20-19 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Watson contributed a game-long 60-yard reception on the second play of what would turn out to be the Packers' game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. The third-year wideout tied a season best in receptions while setting a new high-water mark in receiving yards, with the only blemish on his afternoon the fact his touchdown drought extended to four games. Watson will look to build on his first 100-yard tally of the season in a Week 12 home clash against the 49ers next Sunday.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Leads Packers in targets

Watson recorded three receptions on seven targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions. He also caught a two-point conversion.

Watson has seen his involvement in the offense tick up in the last two weeks, earning 13 total targets -- the same number he had across the first six contests of the campaign. He didn't manage to turn that into much production Sunday, and he has just 76 yards combined across the last two weeks. Nevertheless, it's been positive to see Watson get more involved in a crowded Green Bay receiving corps, and he should see improved production if his opportunity remains stable.
