Browns' Mike Ford: Enters concussion protocol
Ford has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Steelers with a concussion, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Ford was initially cleared to return to Sunday's game, but he has since been diagnosed with a brain injury and will not return for the second half. Ford will have to clear the league's five-step protocol in order to play in Week 15 against Kansas City on Dec. 15.

Browns' Mike Ford: Moves to active roster
Ford was signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Wednesday.
Ford's move to the active roster comes after the team placed multiple players on injured reserve Tuesday and also has fellow cornerback, Martin Emerson, tending to an ankle injury. The 29-year-old played in 16 games for Cleveland last season, before joining the Texans as a free agent in the spring. However, Ford was ultimately released by Houston in late August, paving the way for his return to the Browns.

Texans' Mike Ford: Signs deal with Houston
Ford and the Texans agreed on a two-year, $4.5 million contract Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Ford compiled a career-high 28 tackles, adding two pass defenses, including an interception, and a fumble recovery over 16 games with the Browns in 2023. He'll look to build off of that production as a depth option at cornerback with the Texans in 2024.
