Player Outlook
Doubs fizzled after a fast start in 2022, particularly because the Packers unleashed Christian Watson over the second half of the season. He had five drops over 67 targets last year, didn't have excellent metrics (10.1 yards per catch), only saw eight red-zone targets and went from 6.1 targets per game in the first eight weeks to 4.3 in his final four. Watson remains the prized piece of the passing game, and the team added receiver Jayden Reed in the draft along with a couple of fresh tight ends. Tack on the Packers offense changing gears with Jordan Love under center instead of Aaron Rodgers and Doubs' upside comes with some serious doubts. He's at best a bench WR who might not even be worth the sizzle of a 10th-round pick.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Three grabs against Detroit

Doubs caught three of four targets for 37 yards in Thursday's 29-22 win over the Lions. The second-year wideout took a back seat to Christian Watson (5-94-1 on seven targets) and Jayden Reed (4-34-1 on eight targets) in this one, but Doubs had a key 14-yard grab in the third quarter to help set up Watson's score. Doubs has caught at least three passes in five straight games, and while he has only 175 receiving yards over that stretch he's scored three TDs of his own. The Packers' trio of young WRs will likely keep taking turns coming up big as they develop alongside first-year starting QB Jordan Love, but the team's whole passing game faces a daunting challenge in Week 13 against Kansas City's secondary.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Adds to touchdown tally

Doubs caught five of six targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Chargers. Doubs scored the game-winning touchdown by improvising a route into the end zone and snagging a 24-yarder with just over two minutes remaining. In doing so, Doubs not only scored for the second straight week, but he brought his team-leading touchdown tally to seven through 10 games. With his best receiving yardage since facing the Lions in Week 4 as well, Doubs boasts nice momentum ahead of visiting Detroit this Thursday in Week 12.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Another touchdown Sunday

Doubs caught three of five targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-19 loss to the Steelers. Doubs opened the scoring with an eight-yard catch in the back corner of the end zone to cap Green Bay's first offensive drive. That grab gave Doubs his sixth touchdown through nine games this season. His scoring impact helps compensate for his somewhat limited yardage upside, as Doubs has now gone five straight appearances with under 40 receiving yards.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Catches all targets

Doubs caught all three of his targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 20-3 win over the Rams. Doubs hauled in everything thrown his way, including an important third-down catch during the fourth quarter. However, he failed to top 40 receiving yards for the fourth straight game. His stock has been dependent on touchdowns lately, yet Green Bay's offense struggles to consistently get into scoring position.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Scores fifth TD of season

Doubs caught four of nine targets for 18 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Vikings. His nine targets led the Packers, but Doubs did little with the volume until catching a one-yard TD from Jordan Love in garbage time. It's Doubs' fifth touchdown in seven games this season, and the scores have kept his fantasy value afloat as he's been held to 30 receiving yards or less in five of those contests. He'll look for more consistency in Week 9 against the Rams.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Touchdown in loss

Doubs caught two of five targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Broncos. Doubs was awarded his score after he and Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain came down with simultaneous possession from a 16-yard throw during the third quarter. The wideout had another would-be touchdown bounce of his hands into teammate Jayden Reed's on Green Bay's next drive. Despite his team's passing attack enduring growing pains under first-year starter Jordan Love, Doubs' four touchdowns through six games gives him decent value ahead of the Week 8 contest versus the Vikings.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Nearly shut out in Week 5 loss

Doubs brought in one of four targets for four yards in the Packers' 17-13 loss to the Raiders on Monday night. Doubs' stat line was part of the collateral damage of Jordan Love's accuracy issues, with the talented receiver's reception and receiving yardage totals both qualifying as season lows. Doubs' downturn was especially striking considering he'd generated a 14-168-1 line on 25 targets over the previous two games, but the second-year wideout should have a good chance to bounce back in a Week 7 road matchup versus the Broncos following a Week 6 bye.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: WRS to Start

Doubs and Christian Watson are both in play this week as starting options, but Doubs is the safer choice of the two. He's scored at least 18.3 PPR points in three of four games this season, and he comes into Week 5 against the Raiders with 25 targets in his past two outings against New Orleans and Detroit. With Watson back in action against the Lions, albeit on a snap count, Doubs had nine catches for 95 yards on 13 targets. He should remain the top target for Jordan Love against the Raiders, who have allowed five receivers to score at least 12.2 PPR points this year.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Paces pass catchers in Week 4 loss

Doubs brought in nine of 13 targets for 95 yards in the Packers' 34-20 loss to the Lions on Thursday night. Doubs comfortably led the Packers in receptions, receiving yards and targets despite the season debut of Christian Watson after the latter's recovery from a hamstring injury that led to three straight absences to open the season. Doubs was also the intended receiver on Love's second interception of the night, one that came at the Lions' four-yard line and essentially sealed the win for Detroit. The 2022 fourth-round pick now has a 20-224-3 line heading into a favorable Week 5 road matchup against the Raiders on Monday night, Oct. 9.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Scores winning touchdown

Doubs caught five of 12 targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 18-17 win over the Saints. Doubs capped Green Bay's dramatic comeback with an eight-yard touchdown with under three minutes remaining. In addition to that score -- which marked Doubs' third in as many weeks -- the second-year wideout led the Packers in receiving yards and targets. Whether or not Christian Watson (hamstring) is fit to return for Thursday night's game against the Lions in Week 4, Doubs should maintain solid value as one of quarterback Jordan Love's favorite options, particularly on jump balls near the goal line.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: WRs to Sit

Christian Watson (hamstring) is still banged up, but even if he remains out in Week 3 against the Saints, I would still shy away from starting Doubs in most leagues. He scored two touchdowns in Week 1 at Chicago, but he only has six catches for 56 yards on eight targets for the season. You saw the downside for Doubs when he didn't score with his production in Week 2 at Atlanta with two catches for 30 yards on three targets. The Saints secondary is tough, even with Marcus Maye (suspended) out, and I'm not expecting a big game from Doubs in this matchup.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Should be primary target Week 2

Doubs is expected to serve as quarterback Jordan Love's primary target Sunday against the Falcons with No. 1 receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) listed as questionable but expected to be inactive for the contest, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports. With Watson on track to miss a second consecutive game, Doubs should once again be in line for an expanded profile in the Green Bay passing attack after catching four passes for 26 yards and two touchdowns on five targets in the Packers' season-opening win over the Bears. Doubs played less than half of the Packers' snaps on offense (48 percent) in the Week 1 win, but that may have been a byproduct of Green Bay's 18-point margin of victory along with the fact that he had been listed as questionable heading into the opener with a hamstring injury of his own. The second-year Nevada product seemingly came out of the opener no worse for the wear, as he doesn't carry an injury designation into the weekend after following up limited practices Wednesday and Thursday with a full session Friday.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Reps capped again Thursday

Doubs (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Though Doubs' practice reps were capped for the second day in a row, the Packers haven't offered any indication that he suffered a setback with the hamstring injury that dates back to the preseason during Green Bay's 38-20 win over Chicago this past Sunday. While Christian Watson (hamstring) was sidelined for the contest, Doubs was the Packers' most productive wideout, turning in a 4-26-2 receiving line on five targets. Doubs was restricted to playing only 48 percent of the snaps on offense, however, though he could see his workload pick up this Sunday in Atlanta if he's cleared to play through the hamstring issue.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Flex Starter (Lineup Decisions)

I like the matchup for Doubs on three fronts: his playing time should increase, the zone coverage he'll see should be plentiful and the red-zone targets from Love are hopefully a sign of things to come. I do feel like Doubs is a touchdown-needy receiver, though, so there is a shot he comes through with under 13 PPR points if he doesn't score. That's the profile of a solid PPR flex. I'd roll with Doubs over Terry McLaurin, Puka Nacua and Courtland Sutton, all of whom have tougher matchups than last week.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Doubs had a quality season-opener at Chicago in Week 1 with four catches for 26 yards and two touchdowns on five targets, and he did that at less than 100 percent because of an injured hamstring. He should be close to normal in Week 2 at Atlanta, and I'm hopeful that leads to more catches and yards, along with finding the end zone again. We'll see what happens with Christian Watson (hamstring) for this matchup, but if he's out again then that only enhances the value for Doubs as a go-to option for Jordan Love. Doubs is a solid starter in three-receiver leagues against the Falcons.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Limited at practice to begin week

Doubs (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. As Doubs was in the final two sessions of Week 1 prep, he's again operating with a cap on his practice reps due to the hamstring issue that has plagued him since late August. Meanwhile, Christian Watson (hamstring) continued to be sidelined at practice, so Doubs could again be in a position to serve as Green Bay's No. 1 wide receiver Sunday in Atlanta if he can gain clearance from his own hamstring injury. While Watson was sidelined for this past Sunday's win at Chicago, Doubs logged 29 of 60 offensive snaps en route four catches (on five targets) for 26 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Scores twice to start season

Doubs caught four of five targets for 26 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Bears. Doubs overcame a hamstring injury to suit up Sunday and took advantage of his opportunities, with fellow starting wideout Christian Watson (hamstring) sidelined. Although his yardage wasn't anything special, Doubs opened Green Bay's scoring with an eight-yard touchdown in the first quarter before impressively hauling in a four-yard TD in the fourth. While Watson could return for the Week 2 matchup versus the Falcons, Doubs should remain a prominent option for quarterback Jordan Love to target in key situations, with upside for a wider variety of involvement as Doubs gets more healthy.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Will be available Sunday

Doubs (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday in Chicago, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Doubs sat out the Packers' preseason finale Aug. 26 due to a hamstring injury, which capped him to two limited sessions during Week 1 prep. While Doubs is healthy enough to suit up for the season opener, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Sunday that the second-year pro likely won't handle a full allotment of snaps. If that's the case -- and with Christian Watson (hamstring) sidelined -- RB Aaron Jones, WR Jayden Reed and TE Luke Musgrave may serve as QB Jordan Love's top pass catchers. Meanwhile, wide receivers like Malik Heath, Samori Toure and Dontayvion Wicks will be available for more reps.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Expected to play, may be limited

Doubs (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, is expected to suit up but may handle a limited snap count, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Doubs took the questionable designation into the weekend after sitting out Wednesday's practice before turning in limited sessions Thursday and Friday. With Christian Watson (hamstring) ruled out for Week 1, however, Doubs could be in a position to operate as Jordan Love's top pass catcher even if his snap total is limited. Beyond Doubs, Green Bay could have to lean more heavily than usual on running back Aaron Jones in the passing game, as well as rookies like wide receiver Jayden Reed and tight end Luke Musgrave. A final word on Doubs' status will come when the Packers release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Packers' Romeo Doubs: Sleeper WRs

Christian Watson (hamstring) is out for this week, which makes Doubs a starting option in three-receiver leagues and a flex in all PPR formats. He's dealing with his own hamstring concerns, but he's expected to play against the Bears. Doubs had a strong training camp, and several members of the Green Bay media expect him to lead the Packers in receptions this season. He'll get a head start on Watson in Week 1, and I'm excited to see what Doubs can do. In deeper leagues, Jayden Reed is worth a flier as a flex option since he'll now have an expanded role in his NFL debut.
