  • Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Cleared to play Sunday

Waddle (hamstring) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Texans after being limited in practice Friday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Waddle also was deemed limited Wednesday and Thursday, but the wideout nonetheless was cleared to face Houston after maintaining that level of activity Friday. Waddle thus is slated to remain a key pass-catching target for QB Tua Tagovailoa in Week 15 along with fellow WR Tyreek Hill, TE Jonnu Smith and RB De'Von Achane. In Miami's Week 14 overtime win over the Jets, Waddle caught nine of his season-high 12 targets for 99 yards.

  • Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Stays limited in practice

Waddle (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Though fellow wideout Tyreek Hill (wrist) cleared up any concern about his availability for Sunday's game in Houston by practicing fully Thursday, Waddle's status warrants closer attention on the heels of consecutive limited practices to begin Week 15 prep. If Waddle is able to put in a full practice Friday, he'll likely avoid taking a designation into the Dolphins' matchup with the Texans.

  • Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Limited by hamstring issue

Waddle was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Waddle was on the field for 82 percent of Miami's snaps on offense in this past Sunday's 32-26 overtime win over the Jets, finishing with nine catches for 99 yards on 12 targets while adding a two-point conversion. He didn't appear to show any sign of injury in the Week 14 win, but his status now warrants monitoring heading into this Sunday's game against the Texans. If Waddle is able to continue practicing in some fashion Thursday and Friday, he should still be in good shape to play this weekend.

  • Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Nine catches in OT win

Waddle caught nine of 12 targets for 99 yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime win over the Jets. He also caught a two-point conversion.

Waddle caught the game-tying two-point conversion with 9:04 left in the fourth quarter, and Miami tied the game again with a field goal in the final seconds before winning it in overtime. The Dolphins' passing game has heated up heading into a Week 15 trip to Houston. Tua Tagovailoa has topped 300 passing yards in each of his last three starts, with Waddle accounting for 296 receiving yards and a touchdown over that span.

  • Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Sees downturn in Thursday's loss

Waddle brought in all four targets for 53 yards in the Dolphins' 30-17 loss to the Packers on Thursday. He also caught a two-point conversion pass.

Four days after furnishing a season-best 8-144-1 line against the Patriots, Waddle came back down to earth but still turned in a serviceable performance. Waddle also managed to generate a scoring catch for the second straight game when he brought in a two-point conversion pass following De'Von Achane's third-quarter touchdown reception. The 2021 first-round pick now has at least four catches in five of the last six games, affording him a solid floor heading into a Week 14 home matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Dec. 8.
