  • Chris Myarick: Joining Houston practice squad

Myarick is signing with the Texans' practice squad after a successful workout Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The fullback was cut by Jacksonville on Aug. 25. Myarick did not play in 2023 after suiting up for 16 regular-season games with the Giants in 2022. The 28-year-old has 10 catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns in his career, though he has yet to record a carry.

  • Chris Myarick: Cut by Jacksonville

The Jaguars released Myarick on Sunday. Myarick signed with the Jaguars in early August after not playing in 2023. He last saw NFL action in 2022 with the Giants, and he'll now look to catch on with a team in need of a fullback.

  • Jaguars' Chris Myarick: Signed by Jacksonville

The Jaguars signed Myarick to a contract Saturday. Myarick sustained a metacarpal fracture in his hand near the end of training camp in 2023, and he was waived from the Giants' injured reserve in November. He played in 16 regular-season games with the Giants in 2022, recording seven catches for 65 yards and one touchdown. Now healthy, Myarick will compete for a depth spot at tight end in Jacksonville behind Evan Engram.

  • Chris Myarick: Healthy again

Myarick (hand) tried out for the Ravens on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The fullback landed on the Giants' injured reserve list after suffering a metacarpal fracture in his hand during the preseason finale. Myarick remained there before being waived Nov. 13. The fourth-year pro has no carries and 10 catches for 82 yards in his NFL career.

  • Chris Myarick: Gets waived from IR

The Giants waived Myarick (hand) from their injured reserve list Monday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Myarick landed on the Giants' injured reserve list prior to Week 1, and now, ahead of Week 11, he's parting ways with the team. It's not clear whether he'll be ready to play before the end of the season.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Suffers hand fracture Saturday

Myarick sustained a metacarpal fracture in his hand during Saturday's preseason loss to the Jets, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Due to the offseason acquisition of tight end Darren Waller, Myarick likely has been on the roster bubble during training camp and exhibition season. With cut-down day looming Tuesday, Myarick's fate may come down to whether or not he needs surgery and the eventual timetable to return to action.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Ruled out

Myarick will not return to Saturday's preseason game against the Jets after suffering a hand injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Myarick has gone back-and-forth between the team's practice squad and active roster the past two seasons. The 27-year-old appeared in 16 games for New York last year, catching seven of his eight targets for 65 yards and one touchdown. Expect the tight end to continue serving a depth role on the Giants' offense ahead of the coming season. The severity of Myarick's injury is unknown at the moment.

  • Chris Myarick: Moves back to practice squad

Myarick reverted to the Giants' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Myarick saw six snaps on offense and four on special teams in Sunday's win over the Colts, but he did not record any stats. The 27-year-old has played in all 16 contests for the Giants this season, but he was waived and re-signed to the team's practice squad last week. He'll work to earn the opportunity for another elevation Week 18 against the Eagles.

  • Chris Myarick: Returns to Giants' practice squad

Myarick was re-signed to the Giants' practice squad Friday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. After being waived Wednesday, Myarick will stay in New York, joining the Giants' practice unit Friday. The 27-year-old has appeared in all 15 of the Giants' games to this point this season, making him a likely candidate to get elevated to the active roster at some point down the stretch. Myarick has produced seven catches for 65 yards and a touchdown while splitting time between the offense and special teams this year.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Tallies just eight snaps Sunday

Myarick did not get a touch or a target in the Giants' Week 13 tie with the Commanders. Myarick entered the contest having played at least 22 percent of New York's offensive snaps in 10 of 11 games, but that rate went down to just 12 percent Sunday. That was largely due to the return of rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger (97 percent offensive snap rate) and the presence of recently signed veteran Nick Vannett (45 percent). Myarick has caught just seven passes on eight targets over 12 games this season, and he's likely to see few pass-catching opportunities with Bellinger back in the fold.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Quiet performance in Week 8 loss

Myarick caught his only target for 10 yards in a loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. When rookie Daniel Bellinger departed last week's win over Jacksonville with an eye injury, Myarick stepped up to log a career-best 21 receiving yards on two catches. He wasn't able to build upon that production in Week 8, as Tanner Hudson instead saw increased opportunity with three catches on five targets for 58 yards. Myarick and/or Hudson could see a sprinkling of targets each week while Bellinger remains out, but neither is a priority add in fantasy given the uncertain work distribution and the lack of potency in New York's air attack.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Tallies career-best 21 yards

Myarick hauled in both of his targets for 21 yards in a Week 7 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. Rookie Daniel Bellinger exited the game late in the second quarter after being carted off the field with an eye injury, leaving Myarick to handle the bulk of the work at tight end. The third-year pro made a key catch near the end of the half to help set up a Graham Gano field goal, and he finished the game with a career-high 21 yards through the air while recording multiple receptions for the first time this season. If Bellinger is forced to miss additional time, Myarick would presumably fill in as a starter in his stead.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Limited in practice

Myarick (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Thursday. Myarick was also a limited participant Wednesday, leaving his status for Sunday against the Ravens in question. As the team's No. 2 tight end and occasional fullback, it's unclear how the Giants would replace him if he were unable to suit up.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Catches two passes in win

Myarick caught both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Eagles. Myarick was responsible for the Giants' only score of the day, reeling in a one-yard grab from Daniel Jones for his first career touchdown. The 26-year-old was promoted from the practice squad ahead of the game to serve as the No. 2 tight end behind Evan Engram with both Kyle Rudolph (ankle) and Kaden Smith (knee) sidelined. When those two are healthy, Myarick could find himself on the inactive list.

  • Giants' Chris Myarick: Promoted for Week 12

Myarick was signed from the practice squad Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Myarick was elevated prior to Week 11 as well. His promotion likely means one or both of Kyle Rudolph (ankle) and Kaden Smith (knee) won't be available for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

  • Chris Myarick: Reverts to practice squad

Myarick has officially reverted back to the Giants' practice squad, per the NFL's transaction log. Myarick was promoted to the Giants' active roster ahead of their Week 2 loss to Washington. He was on the field for seven offensive snaps but did not record any stats.

Myarick signed a reserve/future contract with the Dolphins on Tuesday. The 25-year-old spent most of the season on Miami's practice squad, though he was elevated to the active roster and appeared in three games without a reception. Myarick will work through the Dolphins' offseason program in hopes of winning a spot on the season-opening roster in 2021.

  • Chris Myarick: Returns to practice squad

Myarick reverted to Miami's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Week 15 marked Myarick's second consecutive game appearance, but the Temple product attracted no targets over three offensive snaps. Durham Smythe headed up the tight end position for Miami, reeling in all five of his targets for a team-high 40 receiving yards in a win over New England.

  • Dolphins' Chris Myarick: Elevated for Sunday's game

The Dolphins elevated Myarick to the active roster Saturday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports. Myarick previously suited up for the Dolphins in Weeks 10 and 14, but he has yet to draw a target. If Mike Gesicki (shoulder) can't play Sunday, Myarick will provide emergency depth behind Adam Shaheen and Durham Smythe.
