Player Outlook
Hall started training camp on the PUP list after tearing his ACL last season and is questionable to be ready for Week 1. Hall looked impressive as a rookie prior to getting hurt, scoring at least 13 PPR points in six of seven games before being injured in Week 7. The Jets offense has a chance to be explosive with new quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and Hall should have the chance for a sensational sophomore campaign if he doesn't suffer a setback. While Hall could be a top-five running back once healthy, Fantasy managers should plan to draft him in Round 5 after the addition of Dalvin Cook in mid-August. Cook's presence should allow Hall to take as much time as he needs to recover fully, and his value in Fantasy is likely to come in the back half of the season.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Continues to excel as pass catcher

Hall (ankle) rushed 10 times for 40 yards while catching eight of nine targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-6 win over the Texans. Hall hasn't scored on the ground since Week 6, but he has three receiving touchdowns during that drought, including his three-yard score in the fourth quarter against Houston. He set season highs in catches and receiving yards Sunday, and Hall has caught at least five passes in six of the last eight games. Hall's robust contributions as a receiver continue to make up for his lack of rushing production, as this was his seventh consecutive game with no more than 50 rushing yards. The ankle injury that limited Hall's practice reps heading into the game didn't seem to impact his performance, so he should continue to see a steady diet of both carries and targets in Week 15 against the Dolphins.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: In line to suit up Sunday

Hall (ankle) is expected to play Sunday against Houston, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Hall managed just one limited practice during Week 14 prep and enters Sunday donning a questionable tag, but he appears set to play through the injury for the second straight contest. Though his fantasy ceiling is limited to an extent by the Jets' shaky offensive line and poor quarterback play, Hall has been able to maintain a decent floor of late thanks to his work as a pass catcher.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Questionable after limited practice

Hall (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans after logging a limited practice Friday. Friday marked the first time all week that Hall practiced in any capacity, but head coach Robert Saleh said Thursday that he expects the running back to play this weekend. Hall's status will be cleared up one way or the other when the Jets release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. If Hall is unable to play or hampered by the injury, more touches will be in store for Dalvin Cook and possibly Israel Abanikanda.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Expected to suit up vs. Falcons

Hall (hamstring) is expected to take the field Sunday versus Atlanta, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Hall is officially listed as questionable for Week 13, despite coming off a full practice session Friday. He appears to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's contest, as does veteran backup Dalvin Cook (shoulder), who is also listed as questionable. Official word on the statuses of Hall and Cook will arrive when the Jets release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Questionable after full practice

Hall (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Friday but remains listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. The Jets' top three running backs are all questionable, as Hall's joined by Dalvin Cook (shoulder) and Israel Abanikanda (illness) on the injury report. Of the three, Hall is the only one that mustered a full practice Friday, suggesting he's in good position to handle his usual heavy workload as the Jets' lead back, barring a setback. Confirmation on Hall's availability will come approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. ET.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Dealing with hamstring issue

Hall was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Hall is facing practice limitations for the first time since September, when he was still getting back to full strength from the torn ACL he suffered his rookie season. He hasn't found much room to run of late, instead relying on pass-catching production and/or touchdowns to keep his fantasy value afloat. Hall showed no obvious sign of injury in this past Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins, as he took 14 touches for 49 yards while playing two-thirds of the snaps on offense. He's finished in the range of 60-to-70 percent snap shares six games in a row, and he'll likely be somewhere around that range Sunday against the Falcons if he isn't too bothered by his hamstring.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Top DFS Play

Despite an awful rushing average, Hall sees enough work in the passing game to provide a double-digit floor. What we haven't seen in a while is his upside, which is always just one play away.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Scores 50-yard receiving TD

Hall rushed 12 times for 17 yards and caught six of nine targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants. After a slow start for both offenses, Hall used his rare blend of elusiveness and speed to turn a simple check-down grab into a 50-yard touchdown catch to put the Jets up 7-3. That looked like all the offense the Jets would muster as Hall was stymied on the ground and Zach Wilson couldn't get anything going in the passing game, but a late burst from the passing attack helped the Jets force overtime and eventually win. It's encouraging that the team is finding ways to get Hall the ball in the passing game when the run isn't working, but the offensive line's inability to consistently open up holes remains a concern as Hall gets ready to face the Chargers in Week 9.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Top DFS Play

I'd really like to put Christian McCaffrey in this spot, and $10,200 is not too much for him, but it does make the rest of your roster construction difficult. Hall is $3,000 cheaper, and with a matchup against the Giants, I'm not sure his upside is much lower. In fact, I'd be pretty content to wager that this is the last time Hall is below $8,000 this season. Let's take advantage of it.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Unleashed for 194 total yards

Hall had 22 carries for 177 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets for 17 receiving yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over Denver. Head coach Robert Saleh stated that Hall would no longer have playing time limitations starting this week, and he stayed true to his word by giving his starting tailback 25 touches Sunday. Hall hadn't topped 13 combined touches in any of the Jets' previous four contests this season following his recovery from a torn ACL last October. Assuming his knee held up fine, the 22-year-old's ROS projections should experience a huge spike now that he is healthy and seeing a starter's workload. Hall will face a stiffer test against the Eagles next Sunday, but the speedy back should have plenty of chances to break off a big play as the Jets lean on the running game sans Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) this season.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Looks healthy on nine touches

Hall rushed six times for 56 yards and caught three of four targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Kansas City. Hall was limited during the week at practice as the Jets continues to ease him back in action after he suffered a torn ACL last season. The Iowa State product was explosive when called upon, finishing as the team's leading rusher despite his limited workload. Hall has alternated games with single-digit and double-digit carries through four weeks with mixed results, but he possesses the talent to break off a long gain at any time. His volatile touch count makes him a risky play against the Broncos next Sunday.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Puts in full practice

Hall (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. After tearing his ACL in addition to suffering a meniscus injury last October, Hall has made a clean recovery and has gained clearance ahead of each of the Jets' first three games by turning in at least one full practice every week. He appears to be getting healthier as the weeks roll along, as Thursday marks the first time that he's put in a full practice before the Jets' third session of a given week. Whether that translates to an increased workload Sunday against the Chiefs is uncertain, but Hall's playing time seems to be on an upward trajectory. After logging 32 percent of the offensive snaps in both of the Jets' first two games, Hall took on a 48 percent share in this past Sunday's loss to the Patriots.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Cleared for Week 3

Hall (knee) logged a full practice Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Patriots. Hall's limited participation Wednesday and Thursday was due to load management on his surgically repaired knee. After following the same practice pattern last week, Hall was listed as questionable against Dallas, but he avoided a designation this time around. Hall got just four carries against the Cowboys as the Jets abandoned the run after falling behind early, but New York's expected to lean on the ground game more heavily in this AFC East rivalry game.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Logs another limited practice

Hall (knee) remained a limited participant at practice Thursday. If Hall follows his practice pattern from last week, he'll return to a full session Friday to clear up any concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Patriots. In any case, the Jets' final injury report of the week will clarify whether Hall -- who has played in both of the team's first two games after recovering from last season's torn ACL -- approaches Sunday's contest listed as questionable or free of a Week 3 injury designation.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: RBs to Sit

Hall is still too risky to trust right now heading into Week 3 against the Patriots. He was great in Week 1 against Buffalo with 147 total yards on just 11 touches, but he was miserable in Week 2 at Dallas with four carries for 9 yards and no catches on two targets. He's played fewer snaps than Dalvin Cook in each of the first two games, which will hopefully change soon, but the Jets are being cautious with Hall coming back from last year's knee injury. New England was trounced by Raheem Mostert in Week 2 for 127 total yards and two touchdowns, but the Patriots were daring Miami to run to protect against the Dolphins passing game. The Jets passing game isn't scaring anyone right now with Zach Wilson under center, so Hall could have another game with poor production in Week 3.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Limited in practice, as usual

Hall (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. Hall's practice reps have been capped all season, with the Jets taking a cautious approach with his return from the torn ACL he suffered last October. He suited up for both of the team's first two games but saw his touches dip from 11 in Week 1 to four in Week 2 as the Jets fell behind early in Dallas and abandoned the run. If the Jets are able to follow a more positive game script this Sunday against the Patriots, Hall should see his opportunities tick back up.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Suits up against Dallas

Hall (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Hall logged back-to-back limited practices to start the week, but his full participation Friday set the stage for the 2022 second-rounder to suit up Sunday. Per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, coach Robert Saleh previously indicated that Hall is on track to remain on some level of a pitch count as the Jets ease the running back in after last year's torn ACL. In that arrangement, Dalvin Cook logged 16 touches to Hall's 11 in this past Monday's win over the Bills, a context that resulted Hall rushing 10 times for 127 yards (including an 83-yarder) and catching one of his two targets for 20 yards, while Cook carried 13 times for 33 yards and caught three passes for 26 yards.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Questionable after full practice

Hall (knee) logged a full practice Friday but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Dallas, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Hall started the week off with back-to-back limited practices, but his full participation Friday suggests the second-year running back is more likely than not to suit up Sunday. Per Cimini, coach Robert Saleh said Hall remains on a pitch count as the Jets ease the running back in after last year's torn ACL. Dalvin Cook had 16 touches to Hall's 11 in Monday's win over the Bills, and Cimini expects a similar distribution Sunday in Dallas.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Remains limited in practice

Hall (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Coming off a 10-carry, 127-yard rushing performance in the Jets' 22-16 overtime win over Buffalo on Monday, Hall has now been limited in both of the team's first practice sessions of Week 2. The Jets haven't suggested that Hall's limitations are the result of any setback with his surgically repaired knee, so his reps are presumably being capped for maintenance purposes more than anything. Hall should be ready to go by the time Sunday's game in Dallas arrives, and he could be in store for a slight uptick in playing time after logging just 17 snaps against Buffalo.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Tops 100 rushing yards in return

Hall (knee) rushed 10 times for 127 yards and caught one of two targets for 20 yards in Monday's 22-16 overtime win over the Bills. Hall got the start and immediately ripped off a 26-yard run on the Jets' first offensive play, showing that his surgically repaired knee is doing just fine. His next run didn't come until the second quarter, but it went even better, as Hall broke free for an 83-yard gain to flip the field after the Jets started on their own four-yard line. Dalvin Cook led the Jets with 13 rushing attempts but mustered just 33 yards on the ground, as Hall was the far more effective runner. Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) exited on the opening drive and could be out for the season, so the Jets will likely take on a more run-first approach at the expense of goal-line opportunities with Zach Wilson under center, which means both Hall and Cook can be expected to garner double-digit touches against Dallas in Week 2.
